I love everything about this shoe! Dressy enough to wear to work with a blazer and tie; casual enough to wear with khakis and short sleeves.

As always, Zappos did not let me down. The availability and choice were excellent, the price was fair, and the delivery was fast. I enjoy the ability to shop at home.

Ordered a pair in 5 ee because I have wide feet and have a hard time finding loafers in stores that are wide enough. I buy the widest size that I can find and then have to stretch them. The 5 ee's were actually too wide for the first time in my life. The staff at Zappos made the exchange for 3 ee's and were very kind, helpful, and professional. They have made a captive customer of me.

This is an amazing company which you can hardly find anymore. They are responsive and accurate. My shoes arrived within 2 days of my order and I'm very happy with them and Zappos. I always recommend Zappos to my friends.

Zappos service was incredible. The shoes were too tight but were great quality. Wish they were offered in a 4e.

In the past 7 weeks I have ordered 4 pair of (loafer) shoes. Two pair of Cole Haan's, one of G.H. Brass and one of Allen Edmonds. All of excellent quality and fitting. The ordering and delivery of the pair of Allen Edmonds Maxfield loafers is something special to mention. These extreme good looking loafers of top quality were delivered after only one day of the ordering online.

Beautiful shoe! Exactly what I've been looking for. Super preppy. My coworker called them "dad shoes". I got it in burgundy, which is a rich brown color with a hint of red - it's still a neutral though. I think I'll be wearing these with jeans. The leather is of good quality, although it is pretty stiff out of the box but I feel pretty confident that it'll break in nicely. I ordered an 8.5 wide initially and that was way too big. Then I tried an 8 wide and the width was too wide so it was still floppy. I went with an 8 medium and just wore socks with them around the house. I think my bunion will be fine in these.

The shoes looked very, very good. The quality of the leather is very good. They are true classics. There is little to no cushioning in them. If the bottoms of your feet are sensitive be sure they are for you.

I have a very hard to fit foot. Not only do I take a very wide shoe (3E), I have a very high arch. I prefer loafers, so the opening where my foot goes into the shoe has to be as large as possible to get the shoe to go on. I had to try 3 different shoes before I found one where I could get the shoe to go on. Returning and replacing the shoes that did not fit was about as convenient as one could expect. Thank you Zappos!

This is a wonderful shoe. It was just like it was explained to be on the web site. Zappos had it when no other site had it. Then they got it shipped in the length of time they said it would arrive.It is a wonderful looking shoe and it wears just as well. I glad I purchased them.

The leather seems a bit stiff compared to other shoes, may take a bit of breaking. I like color fine and the style.

A classic design and decent made shoe for the money, I went a half size smaller when buying, to keep it from slipping off my foot while walking. Also allow a good long break in, as the shoe is pretty stiff right out of the box.

With my classic Bass Weejuns showing wear and needing repairs, I looked to replace them with these Laytons. I usually wear a 9 across the board in shoes but these Laytons felt small in length and a bit cramped in width; small overall. I've used shoe trees and walked around the block trying to break them in and though I have decided to keep them I have ordered another pair in black a half-size larger.

Shoe fits well in the front. I have a wide foot, and need the width. The biggest problem is that the heel lifts out as I walk. I went down a half size, still have that problem, cannot go smaller. I have had to order some heel adjusters to hopefully alleviate this problem, haven't arrived yet, Amazon in sometimes quite slow in their shipping.

These shoes were so stiff and uncomfortable out of the box that my decision to return them was immediate! The other problem was that they felt a bit too wide in the medium width. Love the color, color tone, and style of the shoes, but they were just too uncomfortable to think about keeping.

Have tried this shoe on different occasions with the same results. Leather soles are extremely thin. I work behind a desk with carpeting on all floors and rotate between 6 pair of shoes and cannot get more than six months wear out of these shoes without having holes in the soles.
