I was looking for a shoe that could do everything for my trip to Maui - hike trails, walk on the beach, in the water, and then go to dinner. These do it all, but some things not so great. First time I wore them I walked a few miles and got blisters on the underside of my ankle bone. Blister pads and an arch support cushion fixed that problem (ankle bone was raised enough to not rub and the strap accommodated that just fine), but my sensitive feet continued to be irritated in different places… under the snap and along the seam of the toe cap. I have very sensitive feet though, I can’t wear flip-flops at all. These did great in water and on gravel. Too big to get lodged inside the shoe, but horrible in sand - it all got caught in the toe area and couldn’t wash out. The grip was also awesome, no problem hiking on volcanic rocks and I never stubbed my toe. I’m going to keep them and hope my feet toughen up - they are pretty cute. A half-size smaller than what I usually wear fit me well.

I ordered my usual size, however, the fit was too loose so I ordered a half size down and the fit was perfect. These are comfortable active shoes and can be worn with the strap in back of the heel. Be warned that the strap is a bit loose in the behind-the-heel position and the shoe feels looser as well because the strap keeps the shoe snug at the ankle. The color, pesto, is appropriate for dark clothing and is non-obtrusive for the most part. I anticipate wearing these shoes on vacation with long pants as well as shorts. They are extremely comfortable - no moist feelings in the toes!

I have quite narrow feet, and they are completely flat--no arch to speak of. So it's difficult for me to find a good fit with enough support. These shoes are ultra-light, sporty-looking, fit true to size (I wear an 8.5 usually, sometimes have to order up or down for certain brands but 8.5 fit perfectly in this shoe), and though the arch support isn't excellent, it is better than most and adequate for my needs. The shoes feel comfortable right out of the box, no rubbing anywhere. Ventilation is good, with the cutouts and the material along the top of the shoe. I can wear these with capris, shorts, or really casual dresses and skirts. I have had no problems with the strap, though I do have unusually small ankles. For me, it's comfort before style, but with these shoes, I feel I get both. If I could change just one thing, it would be more arch support, but it's enough (and as I said, my feet are unbelievably flat--for most people, it would be more than enough, I think). I would definitely recommend these shoes.

These are very comfortable shoes. I ordered 1/2 size smaller than usual after reading some of the other reviews. Not exactly fashionable but they look o.k. with tights and a skirt as well as with jeans and khakis. I will wear them without socks or tights in the summer. I like the fact that they have an antimicrobial lining.

Elegant Walking Shoes - These were to wear out to dinner in Belize. You have to hike along the roads, etc. Need to be able to wash the red clay off the shoe. They last and work well - hiking and swimming, too. My only issue is they cut a little across the top of the foot above the toe knuckles. NO GIVE at all.

I bought these shoes for a trip to Roratonga. I wanted a shoe that I could wear in the ocean for walking on coral. The shoes worked great in the water. They do not look any different after 21 days of being in salt water. I think the ankle straps are a little tight. I don't think I have big ankles. Also, I found the snaps to be difficult to unsnap and snap. I thought they would be great for going through the airport security but got very frustrated trying to get them on and off. Not sure why snaps would be stubborn.

Comfortable shoes right out of the box. I would have rated them a five if they were offered in solid black.

Nice overall, but sweaty and noisy. I was really impressed with these for a few weeks, but then my feet got and stayed sweaty in them. Then they started squeaking, so I'm returning them. Too bad, they are cute and very comfortable. Not much arch support.

Super comfortable. All the good reviews are correct, my only beef is my feet get sweaty; the front part anyway, not great ventilation. I got the brown, they are super cute. I wear these a lot.

Very cute - These shoes are super cute. However, Teva sizing is inconsistent. I usually wear a 7.5, and ordered these in 7.0 -- they still seem a quarter size too large, and I know the 6.5 will be too small. Although the shoe is nice and cushy, there doesn't seem to be much arch support. The mesh part is lined so you won't get much ventilation if you are looking for that. The bottom of shoe also has good grip, so will be good for different surfaces. I might keep them as a cold weather shoe (here in Southern California).

Strap too tight for high arch - Really LOVE this shoe, but sending back (much to my sadness). I have a high arch, and much like other reviewers posted, the strap is NOT adjustable. Lower/flat footed wearers might find the length appropriate. My arch is too high ---while I can snap the strap closed, it's just too tight. I love Teva's -- wish I could keep this shoe .....rats.

Overall great, sticky snap problem. I tried on a bunch of shoes (without socks on) in this style at an outdoor gear store, and the Westwater was definitely the most comfortable. I've been wearing it for a couple weeks, and it's still super comfortable. My only gripe is that the snap for the ankle strap is incredibly tight, and it's a bit of a chore to take the shoes off, which I do fairly often throughout the day.

Somewhat ugly, yet trendy - Mostly comfortable but sometimes a random spot on either foot felt funny, like under the side snap. Recommend for people who are traveling and want shoes that can get wet or dirty and still look okay.

Comfy and Stylish - These shoes have proven to be a stylish alternative to tennis shoes at work. I am a teacher and am able to wear these all day in comfort. I do agree with other reviews that complain about the strap being too tight - you can't just slip them on and off. I am also a little concerned with the overall quality - I have only had them for a month and have noticed some frayed threads.

The jury's still out on this one - Pretty darn cute shoe ... just arrived today and they are comfy and all that. My only beef is that the quality is slightly less than I would expect from Teva. I think Keen makes a better quality shoe. I'll keep 'em for sure. Let's see how long they'll last in the urban jungle.

Cute stable shoe - I have plantar fasciitis and was looking for a cute less bulky shoe. This shoe fits the bill. It is comfortable and feels good on my feet.

Good for what they are... These weren't as cute as I'd hoped, but for outdoor/watersports shoes they looked good. They seemed about a half size too big, and I wished that the strap going across was adjustable.

Teva Westwater - If you need comfortable walking shoes to wear with a skirt these Tevas are a good choice. I wear them to work (business casual). I have painful bone spurs at the toe joint...but also do a lot of walking...so need serious comfort. At least these don't look like clown shoes with a skirt. They are actually tasteful & stylish for a comfort shoe.
