The Voyageur was one of my final five choices when selecting a pair of hiking shoes. After comparing reviews between all of them, what made the decision was that they are Keens. I have purchased Keen hiking sandals for years but had never bought a pair of closed shoes. Once again, Keen did not disappoint. These were comfortable straight out of the box with good arch support and have been on my feet every day since getting them.

Great shoes! I replaced the sole with superfeet neutral arch support & it helps to relieve my plantar fasciitis. It is very supportive as my right foot pronates severely due to weight gain. Now, I can workout with less pain.

Love these shoes! Wore them walking straight from the box. Very comfortable and just the right height for me.

Wow! These fit small! I wear a 7 1/2. For example, the 7 1/2 Keen Whisper fits perfectly. But with these the 7 1/2, the 8 and the 8 1/2 all were too small. I am returning for a size 9. That's one and a half sizes different! Will write more once I have trail tested them but they seem like a great light hiking shoe. Very supportive. Cute too.

If I could wear them to bed, I would.

My “Go to “ outdoor shoe. This is my 3d pair and I have tried but can’t live without these—ugly though I think they are. Thanks Keen for continuing to make a solid shoe that can take a lot of abuse and still keep my feet happy.

Super comfortable without any need for break-in. I purchased my regular size and a half size larger to see which one fit best. My regular size was perfect and I like the shoes so much I gave the other pair as a gift rather than return them. Picked these for a week running around Disney World. I know I'll be on my feet all day, walking 10 miles or so, plus standing in lines. Hopefully these will save my feet and my back.

These are perfect for my needs. The sole is great for walking on a rough, rocky surface and good for flat terrain too. A bit stiff, but they are getting softer with wear. I will definitely recommend for hiking or walking on any surface.

These shoes are awesome. I was looking for a good hiking shoe with a wide toe box and this fit the bill perfectly. I have a bunion on my left foot and a lift for 1/4 inch. I can walk around in these with no pain. The bottoms have good grips and I feel comfortable and steady on my feet. I’ve never bought Keen shoes before but, I will now. I’m very impressed. High quality good bang for the buck. They are cushy and my feet are sooo happy!! Highly recommend

Very comfortable shoe for hiking or walking. Went on a several mile hike soon after receiving these shoes and they were perfect!

I'm a beginning hiker and wanted something suited for the task. (My trail runners weren't cutting it.) I chose these (after looking at every single other hiking shoe on the site) because I've had great experience with Keen and these are no exception; they're just terrific. I ordered my usual boot size, which is 1/2 size larger than my shoe size) but they were definitely 1/2 size too small. I ordered the next half-size up and they're absolutely perfect. I've now hiked in them several times and I couldn't ask for more. Of course, they're not the most stylish thing in my closet but given their purpose, that is totally beside the point.

Really liked this shoe, but too short.

I was looking for a hiking shoe with a wide toe width for my bunion. This fit the bill nicely. I’ve never worn Keen shoes before so I was skeptical. But after reading the reviews I decided to give them a try and I’m glad I did! Plus it’s always easy to return things to Zappos they make it such a painless process. I will definitely buy Keen shoes again. Well made, sturdy good grip. I usually wear a 9 in athletic shoes and that’s what I ordered and fit perfectly. I bought the blue it looks just like the picture. Comfy fit right out of the box.

A mid-high older version of this shoe was my go-to for hiking for years, then they graduated to my co-op farm boot. Then I went through chemotherapy and got peripheral neuropathy and associated chronic plantar fascia tears and cramps in my feet, and all of my shoes were out the window. Except my farm boots and my Birks. Fast forward and I'm going traveling and need a shoe for ebiking and city rambling. I have only so many feet of walking I can even do in a day because of the neuropathy. I have tried Oboz, Altra, and Merrill--everything hurts. So I figured I'd try a version of my faithful farm boot. I read that the Voyageur was the widest of this type, so I went for it. The are WONDERFUL. Perfectly roomy in the toebox and mid-sole for my wide feet, tighten-able for my narrow heels, fabulous arch support in just the right spot, rigid so there's not too much pulling of my fascia, yet somehow soft and cozy. I'm so relieved. I love you, Keen (and Zappos, which allowed me to buy and return ones that didn't work). Note also that if you have feet like mine, Dansko makes a cute boot I can also walk in all day.

I have been wearing Keen Voyageurs for 14 years and they've always been super comfortable right out of the box. I love the deep heel and wide toe box and have never had a single blister. Last Spring I ordered a pair right before leaving for a long hiking trip and was sorely disappointed when they didn't fit - way too narrow - and I had to send them back. I then went on a frenetic search to find something similar and ended up with a pair of Oboz. Despite all the reviews saying the Obozs had a very wide toebox, I still had to bump to a "wide" which I never had to do with my Keens. Now after a summer of hiking in the Oboz, my toes are fine but I've worn some pretty serious blisters on my heels. I'm now leaving for another long hiking trip and decided to give the Keens one more try. This time they came out of the box absolutely perfect - hooray! - I'm so relieved. Obviously that last pair was off which makes me wonder what's happening with quality control. But, right now, I'm just happy to have a new pair of hikers that won't give me blisters.

I tried this in my usual Keene size of 8, but it was just a bit too narrow in the forefoot. I ended up returning and getting the Targee II style, which I previously had. I ordered 8.5 in that one, but it was too big, so got the Targee II in my usual size of 8. It seems to have a little wider toebox than this style.

I read all the reviews and chose the Voyager as opposed to the waterproof Keen version because i liked hearing about the wider toe box. I bought a half size larger as people recommended. They were very comfortable right out of the box and my toes had enough room when wearing socks. I do not have a wide feet and too many shoes nowadays just squish the toes. I normally wear a 6 and bought the 6.5. If i had purchased the 6, the shoes would have felt a half size too small so that is how i reviewed them. After wearing them in the house a couple of days, i decided they were keepers. There is absolutely nothing inside the shoe that pinches, rubs or causes pain. They are like walking in clouds. When i wore them outside on uneven terrain, up and down hills, i thought the heel slipped a bit. Then i adjusted how i tightened the shoelaces to better pull the heel tightener lace and they are fine. I bought them for moderate hiking on an upcoming trip to South America where it could be cold and wet or hot and dry. It was a tough decision not to get waterproof. But i live in a year round warm climate so cooler, breathable shoes made more sense. I will bring another pair of walking shoes if these get wet in a downpour.

I took these out on my first long hike (15 mi round trip) in the Great Smoky Mountains. I am so glad I invested in real hiking shoes rather than wearing my everyday Addidas. These shoes kept my feet dry during a surprise rainstorm and gave me loads of support on rocky trails. I cannot wait to wear them again on my next hiking adventure.

I really like these boots. They are lightweight and comfortable and fit pretty true to size. I did take the insert out as I have wide feet and the shoes feel better without it. I am happy with my purchase.

Very comfortable right out of the box. I have high arches and these shoes have enough arch support for me. The black caps on the toes make my feet look smaller, too.

These seem like great walking shoes, and very sturdy. I am sorry they didn't fit, just a little snug on the left big toe, despite the wide toe box. They are also a little heavy for traveling. My old open-sided waterproof Keens are still going after a few years and many miles of walking in cities and woods. So I recommend you try Keens.

This is my third pair. They are so comfortable. I wear them every day for walking the dog, and city street walking. Great support. Love that I can wear them in the rain.

I love the look and feel of these! Looking forward to wearing them hiking as they have excellent traction on the sole.

Perfect fit. I have purchased these shoes for three years for my daily walks of three to five miles. Excellent support. I do order a half size larger than my dress shoes, but I also do that for running shoes. Please keep carrying these shoes. They fit better than other styles of Keen that I’ve also tried.
