Very comfortable! I have very troublesome feet, and have had a hard time finding shoes that help me. The Keen Voyageur Mid and the regular Keen Voyageur are the best shoes I have found for my problem feet. They especially work great with my orthotics. I only wish they were a little more dressy so I could wear them to work. A solid black or solid brown would be nice.

I have worn Keens since 2002 and this is the 8th pair I have bought. Just like it says, this one does keep the foot cooler than most boots of this type. I normally buy a half size larger in Keens, but I bought a full size larger to accommodate thicker socks. No breaking in required, I put them on and took a 5 mile hike.

Great Boot!
I ordered a half size larger than normal for variable sock thickness. Extremely comfortable around the house for trial period. Fortunate to test on the trails at "The Garden of the Gods", CO. Perfect!

I purchased these boots for hiking and rock climbing because my sneaker type footwear hasn't been sturdy enough on recent hikes. The first thing that I noticed when I took them out of the box was how bulky they are. But they're also comfortable and well constructed. They have serious toe protection and traction-they seem to be perfectly suited for the activities ahead. Another plus is the side venting-my feet run hot and I was happy to see some mesh.

This is a really nice boot. I love Keens and have several pair. I suggest you size up 1/2 a size to accommodate good socks. As with many Keens this is slightly wider than the normal shoe and has a roomy toe box - both of which make these super comfy.

These are good-looking boots, lightweight and seem well made. The wide toebox is really comfy. It looked like someone had made a mark with a silver sharpie on the side of one of the boots, not sure where that came from. The heel is too wide for me and my foot was moving too much inside the boot, just walking around the house. Tightening the laces didn't help, nor did changing to different weight socks. There's a strap that is supposed to tighten the heel, and maybe it does, but if it did, it wasn't enough for my feet. So, back they went. If they had fit my heels, I would've kept them. They really felt great until I started walking. (Ordered a pair of Oboz and they are perfect for my feet.)

I love the style and the how comfortable these boots are, but I wish they were a little more waterproofed. My feet got wet after one hour of hiking in a very light rain. I sprayed the boots with a waterproofed protection this morning before I took another hike through the wet grasses but it did not really help the issue.

Love these boots! Did get a small blister on my heel but I didn't break them in at all and went hiking in Costa Rica for a week. I don't think I had proper socks on either. Oops! They are very comfortable!! Looking forward to going on another trip and wearing them again. :)

A real comfy boot. Third pair of Keen's I own. First pair was great. Second pair was not. This one is very good. Great support. I've not tried it on rough terrain but so far, so good. Downsides I've found to Keen's: Laces tend to come undone on its own. I wear thick socks and found that I need a size larger to accommodate.

Great boots. Light, comfortable, and the rubber toes are great. Only downfall is that the top hooks grab the laces from other shoe as walking and seriously trip you up. I have solved this by taping the hooks when I’m wearing shorts, but it’s fine when wearing pants.

I love these hiking boots! They have a wide footbase and are very comfortable, once you break them in. I would recommend wearing socks that go above the boot, because they do cut in at the ankle a bit when you first get them. Also, if you have a high arch it would be good to buy supportive inserts.

They are very durable and grippy. I wear them working and hiking. Very comfortable, though I have had to use my Superfeet in them.

It would take a perfect shoe to rate 5. Purchased a 7.5 although I wear 7. Haven't taken a long hike just yet but have worn them a few days. I am very happy with the weight and toe box room.

There's room for my foot in here!
I bought the Voyageur Mid to replace the pair of Keen Bronx that I wore out completely. Never thought I'd say this, but I like the Voyageurs even better than the Bronx! Straight out of the box, they're comfy, cushy, and no rubbing or pinching. They provide excellent support for my feet and ankles. I have very wide feet and usually buy C or D width shoes; these are not specified as wide width, but there is plenty of room. I'm extremely pleased with this shoe (and with Zappos' fast, fast delivery). I don't wanna take 'em off! Get your pair today!

These run small, so I was very disappointed. I even made sure I looked at the reviews. The toe box was narrow and there was no room to move my toes around. The ankle section was tight and confining, so it felt very tight and and small to me. I do not have a wide foot in any way, so this was surprising to me. Loved the color. Attractive boot.

I know I'm in the minority but these shoes were surprisingly short. I'm solid 9.5 in most brands—including other Keen shoes—but my toe came right to the edge of these puppies. They're cute from the side, but the boxiness looking down from above wasn't all that appealing to me. Will stick with Keen for other shoes, but Merrell is my go-to brand for hiking boots.

Keen is known for the toe area being wide rounded and boxy. This allows for toe spread, which anatomically, is a great thing. The problem is with a hiking boot, especially on uneven terrain, one needs to be able have foot control and grip. A good hiking boot "wraps" itself around your foot and supports and provides this control. I was on the fence about these boots. They are nice looking, well made, and very light weight. 8 is my normal size, but I always have to go up a 1/2 size in Keen for length, and this may be part of the problem. While length is good, the width increases in the entire forefoot. This allows for a "sloppy" feel even with a heavy sock. I don't mind wearing 2 pairs of socks, but this shouldn't be a "must be" to get a proper fit. The ankle area in size increases also, so when I tie it tight, the tongue bends and won't lay flat.. I decided to try them on a 2 mile hike on slightly uneven terrain, and that made me decide on big a BIG NO on these. My foot slid around inside the boot too much and I felt I had no control. My feet, ankles, and knees hurt after just 2 miles. Not all of us have wide feet, so I would stay away from Keen if you have normal to narrow feet as they will just be too sloppy. Keen might want to consider narrowing the forefoot some for us normal size feet people.

The collar on these boots was quite stiff and not very comfortable. I wanted a day hike shoe and ended up going with the Merrell Pandora Breeze. As a narrow/small size 4½/5 I did not need to size up in these but if you are between sizes I would recommend sizing up instead of down.

These boots are good only for light hiking. Replace the insoles immediately in these boots with insoles more shock absorbent and less likely to cause heel blisters The high collar on these boots is very stiff and even after walking 30 miles in them has not softened up causing enough ankle pain that I will no longer wear them.

This is my third pair of these boots. My first pair has lasted over 10 years, and I would expect these will do the same.

I deliberately ordered these shoes 1/2 size larger than my normal size, because I'm tired of the toes on my left foot (my larger foot) hitting the front of my shoes. And, although I haven't actually hiked in these shoes yet, the size 10 seems to be great! Really comfortable, roomy in the toes but not loose elsewhere. They are orthotic friendly, so I'm using my orthotics in them with the insole removed.

These are some of the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever worn. I have a flatfoot/ bad bunion/hammertoe on my right foot and having a roomy toebox as well as room for a supportive orthotic is vital for me. The big roomy toebox, both up and down and side to side and combination of cushioning and support is amazing! I did a side by side comparison with Oboz Bridger and Sawtooths, and no comparison. Both the Oboz's were tight in the toebox, especially vertically, and the Bridger felt hard and uncomfortable out of the box, and it was clear there would be a significant breakin period. The only downside to the Keen is that it has little internal arch support, and the "arch support" insoles that come with it are a joke. My advice would be to go out and buy some high quality arch supports (e.g. Powersteps) and put those in the shoe and take out the cheapo insoles that comes with the shoe.
