I intentionally buy this boot over and over....I wear a size 10 N on normal shoes...however for many years I have purchased my hiking boot in an 11 M. That gives me room for my orthotic and a hiking sock. I have NEVER had a blister or toenail problem doing this. These boots have hiked around the world and have never let me down. When everyone else is dying to take their boots off...I am still very comfortable!! Highly recommend!!! Thank you Keen....please keep making this model.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Wore them for a week straight with no discomfort at all. They do tend to lose some traction in wet areas.

I love these boots. They breathe and support. I had a pair of these exact boots before. I wore them out on a 500 mile walk on the Camino de Santiago... after breaking them in a for a couple of years.

I didn't have a chance to break these in, just put them on and went for a three hour hike. No blisters, really comfortable and true to size. Love them.

I love these boots! I ordered my usual size and found them to be a perfect fit. Having broken them in with a few day hikes and just wearing them around at the weekend, I wore them on a trip to South America. They got me through a 4-day hike of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in fine shape and were comfortable enough to wear even when I wasn't hiking. Very comfortable, waterproof, rugged, and gripped the rock surfaces very well. The rubber toe guard protected the boot and my toes. The ankle support is superb, yet the tops are still low enough to wear ankle-high socks.

I read the other reviews and purchased a 9 because I thought I was supposed to go a size up! Not so, in my case! Returned and of course Zappos sent the 8.5 the next day. Love you guys! Toe box perfect, excellent support for kinda weak ankles, great traction! Looking forward to lots of hiking this year!

I have used Zappos for a few years because I wear a size 5 1/2 shoe; not easy to find in the stores. Zappos always has a huge selection for me, and the customer service is superb. I was looking for a Vasque boot this time, but changed my mind based on the reviews for the Keen Voyageur Mid style. Per suggestions from other reviewers, I ordered a size 6 and am glad I did. At first the shoe seemed too tight; after I loosened the laces, it was perfect.

Keen Brand is Awesome! Keen shoes have been a Godsend for my wide feet. Although I never thought of them as wide as a youngster, over the years finding shoes that are truly comfortable without any pinching has been more difficult than I ever thought, but I can safely stick with these. I also bought mine a half size larger than normal to accommodate my wonderful winter socks. These shoes are made so well I only need three pair. One for walking about, one for summer hiking and one for winter hiking. I'm so glad I found the Keen brand and thank you Zappos for making them so easy to get (and priced what I'd pay at the store without the hassle or gas usage). I wish more companies would learn how you run your warehouse; your service is incredible! I tell everyone I can about you. Thanks again!

My favorite - As soon as I tried on these shoes I knew that they would be very comfortable. I wore them to work - for a total of 12 hours - just after taking them out of the box. These are so comfortable they are my favorite Keen's so far.

Excellent boot. No breaking in period. Highly recommend for anyone who walks all day, especially on concrete. Tried DR Martens were good but these are the best. Great support, tight around ankles and excellent arch support.

I returned these in favor of the Merrill Moab waterproof because the rise of the back of the shoe (above the heel) was too high for me. Good ankle support and nice style, but the cut was slightly wrong for me.

I loved the look of these shoes. However, they were not comfortable. They seemed to be built up on the outside of the foot, so they seemed to push my feet in as I was walking. Also seemed a little bit short. Got a pair of Oboz instead. Similar style; more comfy for me

I bought these for a trip to Sequoia national park and Kings Canyon, my old hikers were more than 10 years old and falling apart. They were super comfy to put on, I did not “try them out” and they ended continuing their comfort and worked great for the whole week. Can’t wait to get more use out of them.

This boot works great for my wide, flat feet. I add orthotics for even more support and am on my fifth pair. I’ve also tried the Keen Targhee but these fit my wide feet better. They usually last about two years, most of the time I’ve worn the tread down over the years but this past pair, a few smaller pieces of rubber on the sole started to come off (after two years). It’s still got a lot of wear left in the tread so I’m still using it. I walk recreationally on trails on Mt Tam, all packed dirt and rocks, but nothing hard on boots other than walking through mud during the winter.

I had a tough time with the fitting of Keen boots. I typically wear a 7 sometimes 7.5. I had to order an 8 in these and never have I ever in my life sized up to an 8 in my life. I did order 7 and 7.5 from a different website and both way too small, I guess that’s what I get for ordering online and not trying on in store! But the 8 fits perfectly and I do love them they’re my first pair of hiking boots and can’t wait to try them out this weekend in New Hampshire

These are my favorite hiking boot! I love them because the upper part of the boot can be tightened for going downhill and your toes will never get near hitting the front of the boot. So lightweight and comfortable. Hiked to the top of Half Dome and back in one day with no blisters or sore spots. I normally wear an 8 1/2 to 9 shoe size but get 9 1/2 in Keens because I wear heavy Smartwool socks. The ventilation mesh helps keep my feet comfortable.

I have tried on several brands of boots and these are the first that actually fit my wide feet. I was even trying on men's boots and nothing was fitting. I normally wear a 9.5 and I got a 10.5 so I did size up more than I thought I would have to but I'm really happy so far. They are comfortable right out of the box.

I love these boots. I just purchased another pair after logging in 10+ years and a lot of miles with the old ones. I have never, ever, had a problem with rubbing or blisters from these boots - they’ve been great, with no breaking-in period needed. I do think hey run a bit small, though. I typically am between an 8 1/2 and a 9 in regular shoes. My first pair of these boots were 10s, which allowed me to wear thick socks. I went up to a 10 1/2 with this latest purchase, just because I wanted a slight bit more room (the 10.5 gives me a little more room around the toes but still holds my ankle snuggly). They’re great boots.

I am on my third pair of these boots. They fit really well and do not need to be "broken in". We do a lot of hiking as well as walking on city streets. I love these boots, that's why I just bought my third pair. The soles wear out after about a year but I do a LOT of walking and hiking. I've never had any other part wear out or become uncomfortable. They are warm in the winter too. Those slots on the sides are fabric, so they are not waterproof above the soles. Very comfortable and highly recommend!

I'm back to buy these again because I wore my last ones out. the only problem I have is with the top lace hooks. I was wearing shorts (so the shoes weren't covered by jeans) and the loop from one shoe caught on the hook on the other shoe and sent me flying. luckily I only skinned my knees. I immediately clipped the hooks off completely. I prefer to wear them pre-tied, and just slip them on and off anyway. but still that was scary and annoying. I wear these everywhere, to the gym, on hikes, in the garden. the color is just right that it camouflages dirt and dust. my feet never feel too warm or cold and the ventilation is just right. if you have an issue with keen's larger toe box, i'd suggest buying some of those inexpensive foam shoe inserts to raise the floor of the inside of the boot a little bit.

First week wearing these, already in love with them. Soles really handle sharp rocks well, don’t feel them at all. Can lace all the way up for really good ankle support, or leave top hook open for flatter road walking. Really good either way. No blisters or rub spots. Careful of really big loops in the bows of your, they MAY get hooked on top hook of the opposite boot. Happened to me once. Solution, double knot your bow. I got an 8, I wear a 7.5-8 usually, the 8 fits perfectly with a regular weight crew sock. I also like the looks of these, not clunky, make your feet look smaller than some big clunkers to.

Comfortable. Seems like I’ll need to break them in a bit before my first hike in the Colorado Rockies because they are a little stiff around the ankle. They are not clunky looking and I like that they don’t make my feet look huge. Nice boots!

I have a wide foot, bunions, and I'm recovering from a broken ankle. These fit the best out of the many boots I tried on, although I had to size up to a 9, where I typically wear an 8W. I tried on several other hiking boot brands that make wide widths sizes, but really, the regular width Keens had the extra room in all the right places for my foot shape. I got these for an upcoming trip to the canyons of the Southwest. I tested them already in the Shenandoah mountains for about 7 miles worth, and not a single problem!
