These boots felt great from the first moment I tried them on. I wear an 8.5, and have wide feet and they feel true to size, and I am wearing them with mid-heavy weight hiking socks. I love Keens, I have several pair and I have never had an issue with the fit. They are supportive and comfortable. I've been on several hikes and even wore them to NYC for a day of shopping, feet never felt so good!

I bought these boots for day trips and they did not require any break in time. They are very comfortable and lightweight as well. I bought a half size up for mid-weight hiking socks and the fit is great. I like the mid-height for more stability out on the trail.

I bought these boots for a two week trip this fall. I was thrilled with the boots. They worked well on wet surfaces, sandy surfaces, very rocky terrain, and on flat surfaces. I wore them all day every day and never had a problem with my feet. No breaking in period either. The toe box is spacious. I bought them half a size larger than my normal size and I would suggest this to others. I love these boots!

I have the low-cut Keen Voyageur and decided to get a pair of these mid-hikers for the winter. I am very impressed with these boots as they are very comfortable and seem to be well made. As with all shoes assembled overseas, there have been some workmanship and quality issues to deal with that sometimes results in having the shoes either returned or exchanged. Keen manufactures these overseas, not domestically. I have found that it is sometimes necessary to exchange shoes for a another pair. Workmanship will vary and not all shoes will fit the same. This is a tip to keep in mind. I really like this brand because their hiking boots are comfortable and need very little break-in time. Also, the rubber toe is great for protection and additional traction. The shoelaces could be a bit longer though. All in all, for the money these are good all-round hiking boots.

I love this voyageur boot. I first bought it in Maine when it snowed earlier than usual a few years ago at Lamey Wellehan. I live in this boot all winter and I just bought this new pair. Wide toe box, great support. I love it more than the Targhee which is a little more narrow. I just tried the Naot Tellin and I returned it for not being as good to my feet as the Keen Voyageur.

Great, comfy hiking boot! Very roomy inside--I put arch support insoles in mine and there is still plenty of room for my foot. The soles offer good grip for different types of trails and terrain. I've worn them for light mountain hiking as well as forest trails--I've also worn them to walk around in town because they're so cute!

If your an expert avid hiker probably not the shoe for you, but for the average every day hiker these are awesome. They fit comfortably right out of the box, are very light weight and breathable and still give you the ankle support needed for trail hiking. This is actually the second pair of this shoe That I bought as I literally walked the tread off the first pair; I wore them that much.

These are the most wonderful boots! They are light and comfortable, and offer exactly the right amount of support I need. They do run slightly small, but order half a size up and you'll be fine.

I recently had a "hammer/mallet toe" surgery, and previous to that I was in such pain...I hadn't hiked for over 8 months. I missed it terribly. This past week we went "spring camping" and I went on 2 hikes. My feet felt great! These boots have the wide toe box and strong support that I need. Thanks Keen!

These are the best hiking boots I've ever had. I ordered them through Zappos two days before I was going to be hiking through Wadi Rum. They didn't require breaking in at all and have been so comfy and supportive.

I bought these boots because I have a weak ankle and I fall a lot. These boots are wonderful! I wear a size w-ww. I bought a half size bigger in wide. They were stiff in the back, as has been mentioned. I wore heavier socks to help with that tillI wore them in a bit. I really like the "V" in the center back for the back of the ankle. That makes it easy to flex my foot while still having the support I need. I wear these every day of the week. I sew on an industrial machine and I have to be able to flex my foot. These are so comfortable! I have fallen several times since I bought these. I fell down ice covered stairs, slipped and fell on ice in a parking lot, tripped over a large dog twice, stumbled and through it all I have not had a sprained ankle or even a sore ankle! Normally I would have definitely been on crutches with the tumble down the icy stairs. I have bruises, cuts, but not a sore ankle! I'm buying another pair! I love these boots!!

Best hiking boots ever! I have bought and tried many different boots over 30 years, my feet never feel great -- until this pair. Put on the first day of a 8 day family trip to Peru which included endless walking on uneven surfaces and mild hiking and my feet felt great and never achy. I never put on another pair of shoes the entire time. My college-age daughter bought the same pair and she felt the same. Try these -- there is something is magically comfortable about this fit and style.

Again Zappos has added another satisfaction notch to there belt from me. The first time I order the wrong size, All I did was call the 1800 number the associate from Zappos did all the work. He even sent the shoes out to me before I made the return. I love the fit, comfort and style of these boots. Thanks again Zappos Satisfied in Wisconsin.

A durable boot with excellent toe protection. They are wider than average so those with narrow feet may not like them. There is ample toe room and are sized appropriately even with wool socks. Mine required only 2 walks to break in then covered a 50 mile hike with no problem. The only reason it didn't earn 5 stars for style is because, come on, it's a hiking boot. I haven't met a stylish one yet.

I love these shoes. They are my very first pair of hiking boots, that I purchased specifically to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. I didn't even really appropriately break these in as you are supposed to -- however, no blisters, no foot pain, nothing. It rained one day, and my feet stayed dry, thus I believe the "waterproof" claims they say.

For me hiking downhill has been a problem for my toes. I have tried many boots hoping one would allow me to hike downhill without jamming my toes into the toe of the boot. Finally I realized I should order at least a size larger than my usual 7.5. I now have Keen Voyaguer Mid in size 9 and have been very happy, uphill and down. Looking forward to our trip to Tahoe this fall and lots of hiking!

Got these for hiking all over VA and possibly out west next year. I was afraid to run into problems since I have wide feet but these felt great right out of the box. Took them for a nine mile hike today and was comfy the whole time. My feet and legs did hurt towards the end of the hike but that's because it was a nine mile hike! Highly recommend these boots for hiking and walking around. Extremely comfortable and roomy.

These are the best hiking boots for hot, sandy areas. First, they are the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever worn. Second, the open mesh keeps your feet cool and dry while keeping out all of the sand, pebbles, and debris. I love the extra ankle support of the high top, and the extra help in keeping pebbles out. Third, they are very well constructed and will last through years of day hikes. (This is my second pair, and the first lasted three times longer than I would have expected given what I put them through!)

I've only worn them once so far, but these boots were great! Great ankle support, and very breathable. I was able to easily remove the insoles to add my own, which was important to me. But the insoles that they come with are actually pretty good. I love the classically-Keen toe guard -- great for a klutz like me who trips over every rock and root on the trail.

Love this shoe! Fantastic for hiking and performs well. Shows little wear on uppers and soles after multiple uses on some rocky terrain. Sadly, my dog chewed up my first pair. I didn't hesitate to repurchase the same pair because this is a perfect hiking shoe. Very pleased with them...even if they aren't dog-proof.

Took this boot for a 6 mile hike, and a 9 mile hike the next weekend. I found I needed minimal breaking in. I'm glad I took the advice of other reviews, and ordered a half size up. It fits perfectly with hiking socks. Since I'm clumsy, the padded portion of the toe, ankle support, and the thick sole helps me safely traverse through the rocky terrain. After a long hike, I feel my pinky toes starting to get sore from the rubbing, but it feels fine the next day.

Great shoes! Very comfortable. Just make sure to order a half size bigger than you'd normally order. I didn't know what Keens were supposed to fit like until after I wore them for about a week--too long for returns. There is supposed to be an even 'bubble' of space around the entirety of your foot. 5 stars because they're great shoes--I'm buying a pair the right size next time.

Comfortable, lightweight and sturdy hiking boot. Exactly what I was looking for. Took very little time to break in. Almost as comfortable as my slippers - no joke. I bought a half size up and sizing was perfect. I also use green superfeet insoles. Love the roomy toe bed - no squishing. After hours and miles of hiking in the hot Escalante, UT area I had no foot problems and didn't feel I needed to take off my shoes like I have felt the need in the past with other boots. Highly recommend.

I just ordered a second pair of these Keen boots as I ordered a pair last week and they fit like a glove! I've walked in them twice (day hike in the woods) and they didn't need any break-in time! I love the wider toe-box. I needed the ones that go over my ankles for support and to keep my heels secure. I had to take them off 3 times to cross streams, and every time, they were comfortable when I put them back on! Well worth the price! These are my first Keens and I would highly recommend them!

These were perfect for my trip to Honduras to the Pico Bonito rainforest! I took the Tevas I had taken to the Galapagos Islands, but knew I would need something for potentially steep, muddy & slippery trails. These shoes are the best - very comfortable (didn't wear them much prior to the trip). They felt so good, in fact, I ordered another pair in another color since the price dropped significantly after I ordered the first pair - definitely a comfortable keeper.
