I love my black Hunter boots, I got them in the Huntress because I am only 5’3” and they are perfect with plenty of room for jeans to be tucked in.

Terrific Boots. This model of Hunter boot has a slightly wider shaft than the Original making it easier to pull over trousers. The shaft is also a bit shorter so it doesn\'t cut into the back of the knee as the taller boots can; however, the boot doesn\'t look stubby like the Hunter Original Short. All in all a great-looking functional boot.

Hunter boots are fabulous and in all reality pretty affordable if you dont get sucked into the Ebay scam and how much they sock it to you because they have them readily available. I ordered the original and I am 5'4". They are great, however; they are hard to tuck things into, so I also found and ordered the hunter original "adjustable" boots. They have a nice area on the side of the boot that allows for tucking in fo rjeans and other pants and the extra side gusset looks really cool! I LOVE the adjustable version, not too available in the US yet, but I got mine from England. Keep your eye out for them ladies, they look really cool and are great for function. I dont think you can go wrong with any Hunter boot but the adjustables are really nice boots. They are a little more expensive but only by about 10 dollars. I wear anywhere from a size 8 1/2 to a size 9 and the UK 6 size fits perfectly US size 8. Size down they are roomy!

Over the weekend, I tried on the original style of Hunter. And sadly, they just were too tight around my calf. Also, even if they had fit my calf, they would have been about 2 inches too tall. So I was delighted that Zappos had one pair of navy Huntress boots in my size (9 womens). Thanks to Zappos always stellar shipping, I ordered them yesterday and they arrived today. They fit fine around my calf, but would have been too tight to tuck jeans into. And the foor size was good, even fit my Birkenstock arch supports. But they are huge around the ankles. When I walk, the ankles actually bunch up, creating these big folds of rubber on the side. Not a great look. So the boots are going back today. Might try the shorter boots out.

Love these boots. I bought them about a month or so ago.. it took me a while to find them anywhere because every store seemed to be sold out. I finally bought a green pair from Zappos. (I love Zappos!) They're comfy, although my legs feel like they're getting quite a workout in them. They're perfect for any kind of slushy weather. They do require thick socks to be worn when its cold, though. I think they're stylish too and will last a long time. Worth the money. I'm an 8.5-9 US, I bought a size 7 UK. They fit perfectly.

I love my Hunter boots! After reading other reviews I felt the Huntress style would work perfectly for me. I usually wear a 7 and ordered a 6 because they do run a bit big. The Huntress is shorter than the original Hunter boot, but is perfect for those petite in height. Great boots!

I love these hunters! I have a wide calf, and am short (5' 2"). These worked so much better for me than the Original Hunters. They're still a bit snug. I definitely can't tuck my pants into them, but they're great with skirts, shorts, dresses, and tights.

These are the BEST rain boots EVER. I know they look like a splurge. But if you are really expecting some rain and mud these will be your best friends. The first time they get wet they can get this white film but that is normal according to the mfgr's website and can be cleaned with a cloth and a touch of soap. Be sure to check the wellington website for care instructions. The HUNTER stamp on the front is super cute and you can even buy matching socks.

I’m wearing my Hunter boots today! I have wide calves and usually boots are too tight, but the huntress is fantastic - it runs a bit big, but there is plenty of space for thick socks or my jeans to be tucked in! After buying a few pairs of cheap boots that fell apart after a few months, I decided to splurge -- these are incredibly comfortable and well built! I have the matte navy color and I love to wear my boots!

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love my Hunter Wellys! I just moved to downtown Washington, DC, a little over a week ago, and when I heard the big storm (dubbed "Snowmageddon") was moving in, I realized I didn’t have anything that would really do well in deep, wet snow. So I got online, started doing some research, and ended up ordering these boots the Monday before the big storm. They arrived the very next day, and I loved the look and quality of them immediately, but the big test was once the storm hit. The next day my husband and I headed out into the neighborhood, he in short boots that got immediately wet, and me in my knee-length Wellys. We were out for several hours, walking through knee-deep snow at times, and my boots kept my feet warm and dry the entire time. I even wore my Wellys while taking part in the Official Dupont Circle Snowball Fight! Anyway, I’ve worn them now for three days straight. I have walked long distances through DC and my feet have stayed warm, dry, and comfortable the entire time. They are sturdy, have great traction, and go on and come off easily. I’m only 5’0”, and the length of this Huntress style is perfect--comes right below my knees. And they’re wide enough to allow me to tuck in my jeans with no problem, which isn’t always the case with other boots. I could go on and on, and but this is quite possibly the best shoe/boot purchase I’ve ever made.

After owning these for half a year, I finally wore them outside for the first time last week! I’m 5’4” with a 14 3/4" calf, and the Huntress boots are a good fit for me. I have enough room to tuck in jeans, which was why I bought these instead of the Hunter Originals. They do run a bit large, so you might want to go down a size, depending on how you’re going to wear them. I normally wear an 8 1/2, and I bought these in an 8 and a 7, and ended up keeping both (black 8 and green 7)! I can wear the 7 as is for warmer, rainy weather, and I have been wearing the 8 with the fleece welly socks now in winter. Note on that: rubber is not that warm! You absolutely need the fleece socks if you want to wear these in winter! And thick socks, also. They are very comfortable to walk in, although if I were walking for a long period of time for exercise purposes I’d want to wear something with more support because these don’t have a lot. Overall though, I’m very happy with them and would definitely recommend them.

If the regular style Hunter Boots don’t fit around the calf, try these. They are wider around the calf, but still have the same look and are the best rain and mud boots around!

My wife has always wanted Hunter boots. My old boots started leaking so I got a tall black pair of Hunter’s and love them for working in the creek, walking the dogs, etc. Well, to keep harmony I ordered her the woods green Huntress pair. Yesterday, without wearing them for a trial walk, we took a 3 mile hike, in the snow, in the mountains - and she LOVED them. No blisters or sore spots and warm feet with light weight boot socks. They are supple yet great foot support. For decor; I like keeping both pair by the door just to look at them. Trying to think of a reason I need a second pair.

I love these wellies! I have muscular calves and I’m 5’1” so these are the perfect fit. The "original" Hunter Boots are beautiful, but when I tried them on, they kept riding up behind my knee because I’m so short. Plus: The Huntress boot even allows me to tuck jeans in them (even non-skinny jeans). Very flattering. Note: you need to wear thicker socks, but that is how all wellies are.

These boots are great. It is only a few inches shorter than the original Hunter boot and have slightly more width to fit the calves better. I got the original for myself and the Huntress for my sister who is my same height as me but slightly heavier. We are 5'2.

Overall a fantastic boot. Great for snow, slush and rain, but I mostly wear them as a winter/snow boot. I really wish they came in half sizes though. I bought a size nine and really should have gone with an eight. They look great. No problems with the white film some people have commented on. You will need some warm, long winter weight socks to wear with these boots. If you have doubts about the calf size of the Hunter boot, definitely go with the Huntress. One thing to note: although the picture shows the boot as having the "Huntress" logo, mine actually have the "Hunter" logo even though they are the Huntress model. As always, thanks Zappos!

Great rain boots! These are about 2 inches shorter than the Original Hunter rain boot and much better for a shorter person. This boot is wider in the shaft and ankles than the original which provides more room if you want to tuck in jeans/pants in your boots. I love the green color, too.

I love these boots! I can use them in almost any weather. I wore them in the rainy streets of New York, full of treacherous puddles and I brought them to Montreal for my snowy vacation and they've been great with the Hunter socks, keeping my feet warm while walking through some snow!

These boots are wonderful! I used to have the original Hunter rain boot, but it was too tall for my lower legs. I'm 5'6" and my mom is 5'8", she ended up with the originals (fit her perfectly). The Hunter "Huntress" fit me much better, however, and they have a wider opening, making it much easier to wear pants with them. I love the navy color they come in as well. Not a dull navy at all. Definitely recommend these boots to anyone, especially those who appreciate the quality that Hunter guarantees.

These arrived promptly and was everything I had hope for. They are good quality, and comfortable rain boot. I had purchased the original hunter boot but it was too snug at the top of the boot. The huntress is great. I can tuck in a pair of jeans or wear tall socks for added warmth. I would definitely recommend.

I love the Hunter look, but obviously have wide calves which is why I bought these. They fit my calves wonderfully, are easy to slip on and take my dogs for a walk. I cannot fit PJs or jeans into the boots at this time, but I still love them. My calf is about 16.75 inches circumference and I am 5'1" and the height of the boot is just below the knee, which is what I was wanting. I love them!

I brought these for my daughter who is away at college. She says their very comfortable and she really likes them. We also brought the liner for the boot, which I would suggest. It helps to keep your foot extra warm!

I had been wanting a pair of Hunter Huntress boots for a couple years and was excited to finally purchase them. I have large calves, at almost 17 inches around, and was hoping the Huntress style would work. Unfortunately, they were just too tight and I had to return them. I have had no luck finding rain boots for my large calves. It would be great if Hunter would make an extra-wide calf style. Outside of the fit on me, the boot is great quality and is a sharp look for those rainy days.

The Hunter Originals were too tight in the calf so I decided to try these. They fit perfect with jeans tucked in and thick socks! I usually wear an 8.5 (US womens) and I have a high arch and I still went a size and a half down to the UK 5. They fit perfectly! I wore them for a week straight when I went on vacation to a colder climate. I walked around all day every day and they are very comfortable.
