These are not only extremely comfy, but they're great for people who have larger calves or more muscular calves like me. I'm an athlete and most rain boots squeeze my calves too much, but these are cute I can tuck my jeans into them. Love them!

I love these boots and Zappos is the best to order from. The boots run large, and I wear a 7.5 and the 7 fits just fine. I can't wait for a rainy day!

These boots are fantastic for those of us on the shorter side. The Original Tall Hunters are too tall for my short legs and I think the Short Hunters would cut off my leg too much. They are very wide in the ankle as others have mentioned, but I don't think it's too noticeable. This shoe also runs large, I usually take an 8 1/2 or 8 in shoes and the US Women's 8 is still a little large, but some thick socks should solve that.

After much trial and error - which Zappos was kind enough to help me with, I finally found the perfect Hunter Boots. I am 5'4'', 120 lbs with legs/ankles that are on the thicker side (thanks mom!). My calves are 16" at the thickest part, US size 9, and I took a 39 in the hunter boots. I really wanted the regular hunter boot because of the additional color choices, but they were too tall - and too slim. Trust me, you really want to have the option of tucking your pants into the boot. Plus they are much more flattering with a little space at the top. Yes, they are a little bulkier at the ankle than the regular Hunter boot, but it's a small price to pay for a better look overall. The green huntress is not my favorite green, just not very inspiring. I got the navy blue and they are a classic! I'm very happy with the quality. Love them in the garden - and even just to run out and get the mail. Thank you Zappos for the great service, and Hunter for the great boots!

I was glad to realize that these boots did not say Huntress, but instead say Hunter. The only thing I noticed was that they are a little shorter, about an inch or two, than the original Hunters, but I do not think it is noticeable. These boots are a great investment as they keep my feet dry and are easy to walk in for long distances. I tried the original ones and my calves are bigger so my jeans didn't fit in the way I wanted to. These are big enough to fit my jeans but not large enough to be noticeably different than the originals.

So glad I went with the Huntress, they fit great with fleece socks. I have athletic calves and I'm a size 7.5. Based on other reviews of running large I went with the 7 and they are perfect. Can't wait for a rainy day to test them out!

I just received my Hunter Wellies (super quick thanks Zappos!). I went with the Huntress after trying on the original. Those were tight, but worst was the height hit me mid knee, so not comfortable! I'm 5'5 and my calf is 14 1/2 inches. I don't think the original could take the wellie socks with even skinny jeans. The Huntress is definitely bigger! A little too roomy through the ankle, but okay. I did not order down on the size, I always buy a 8 in Ugg, and the 8 was good here too. I always wear socks anyway, and do not like boots too tight on my toes. Happy shopping!

I lived in a pair of rubber boots while in the Amazon this summer. These Hunter boots are a sophisticated, stylish version of my beloved Amazon boots. Like a mountain bike for the feet. Fantastic traction in mud and over rocks, very comfortable, wide enough for my muscular calves and pants. I'm impervious from the knee down when slogging through creeks, walking the dog through weeds and brush, hiking along rivers. These are also attractive enough to wear anywhere in town. My only caveat is: store them in the garage or your home will be permeated with the smell of rubber, at least for the first couple of weeks. I also insert an arch support when wearing all day. And the buckle is just decoration -- the boots can't be cinched tighter.

These boots are amazing! They are so roomy in the calf and they are the perfect height, especially if your legs are on the shorter side. Definitely get these!

I'm very excited to have found these shoes. I'm 5'11" tall with size 11M feet, and I'm always on the lookout to see what brand shoes other tall women are wearing. And from my observations, Hunter seems to be the rain boot of choice all around New York! I'm relieved to discover that the shoe is indeed a full size bigger than marked, so the size 10 is fine on me, even with socks. The calf is snug, which is probably good for the rain, but I won't have the option of tucking in jeans. I wish they were 2" taller, but overall I think these boots are sharp. Looking forward to the Fall.

I really wish the Huntress edition had more colors and offered it in gloss. I've bought and returned the original in gloss because it was too tight around my calves, especially when wearing the welly socks. I'm resisting the urge to buy from Hunter now because I'm waiting for more varieties. If only Zappos can tell the Hunter company.

Got my boots in a very reasonable timeframe. I love them! As advertised. I have fairly large muscular calves and these still fit, which is unusual for tall boots.

However, I ordered a 10 and they are true to size, so I do not advise anyone to order down. I actually wish they fit a little more loose, but they are most certainly wonderful. Ordered these boots on Saturday at 12AM and received them Monday at 9AM! Great service by Zappos as always. Can't wait the for rain this week!

Great and comfortable boots for keeping the rain out. Warning, wear tube socks under them otherwise you will experience 'Wellie Rub' as the Brits call it. Wore these to the Bonnaroo Music Festival and they helped keep the mud/dirt away perfectly. Were a bit tight higher up on my calves, so I folded them down.

I bought these boots to wear when I clean the chicken coop, but I have found that I wear them everywhere now! To weed eat, go on walks, garden. I love these boots. Right out of the box onto my feet.

I received my Hunter rain boots about an hour ago and haven't been able to take them off yet! I ordered them on Thursday night and received them this afternoon, the following Tuesday. I ordered a size 8 and they feel great. I wear a size 8 and they'll be a perfect fit, weather I wear just a normal sock or the fleece liner. I have nothing bad to say about these boots! Well, actually, I do wish that they were a bit narrower in the ankle, as sometimes, the boot will crinkle when I am standing. I wish they were more shaped like the original tall's and came in more colors and in the gloss finish as well! I can see that these boots are going to last me a long time and I am already in love! Thank you Zappos.

These boots are really comfortable. The first day I had them I wore them all day and found them really supportive and they kept my feet warm and dry. I chose the huntress over the original boots because they have more room in the calf, which makes them perfect for tucking your jeans inside or wearing thick socks. They do run a little large. I usually order 7.5 and the 7 huntress boots have plenty of room for my feet. I would highly recommend these! They are definitely worth the money.

These Huntress Boots fit great, a little big in the ankle but I suppose it has to fit with the bigger calf. I went on another review for size, as I could never really try the original Hunter boots for size because they were too small in the calf for me. Anyway, I saw that another customer wears a solid 9, as do I, and she bought a size 8 and fit her perfectly, so I ordered the size 8 and figured I could return it without a problem if I did need the bigger size or what I usually wear which is a 9! I am so glad that I went with the size 8 as if fit me perfectly! , although my calf is a tad bit over 16" in. circumference these just fit, though I can still probably tuck in a pair of skinny jeans and it would be snug. Overall, great looking boots, now just waiting for a rainy day!

Love, love, love my Huntress boots! They allow me to tuck jeans into my boots, which most standard rain boots don't (I have thicker calves). I am a solid size 9 US in shoes, and the size 8 US in the Huntress boots fits me perfectly. I did add a gel insole to make longer walks more comfortable on my arches. Now I'm (almost) happy when it's rainy outside!

These are great boots. I needed the Huntress to give me extra room in the legs and they are very comfortable. Hunters are more stylish than many rain boots out there because of their height and the heel, and the Huntress still looks nice even though the leg line is not as slim. They are also true work horses. I just used them for garden planting over the last several weeks and they are truly water proof and durable. As noted by others, the boot tends to run big so although I normally wear an 8, the size 7 boot fit me best. A great purchase!

Great boots! They are very comfortable to walk around all day in. The height is just great if you are petite -- it hits an inch or two below the knee unlike the taller regular hunters. They do run large. I normally wear a six, but ended up buying a 5 after reading other reviews saying thy are large (plus it was the only size left). It fits great and still roomy even with thick socks.

I just got my boots. I have wide calves and I thought my only option were the original short which only made my calves look wider and stumpier. These are great. They are still a little snug. I can’t get jeans in them, but I can wear them with leggings or tights. They do run big, but should be fine with thick socks. It’s supposed to rain today. Can’t wait to wear them!

Excellent boots. They fit like a dream. The wider calf made me look skinnier but it was hardly noticeable anyway.

I love, love, LOVE the Huntress style of Hunter Boots. I really wanted to wear the Original, but I’m too short (5’). They were just too tall. The Original Short, was too short. I even tried the child’s version... didn’t work. The Huntress is PERFECT for my height and generous enough for easily tucking in pants, but is not overly generous. I sized down. I normally wear a US Size 7, and I got a UK 37 (US Size 6). I can easily tuck in ankle length jeans and pants, but if you’re going to wear bulkier pants of thicker fabrics or longer lengths, you might want to order your regular size. I also don’t want to wear bulky socks, so if you feel like you might, size up. I find them very comfortable... and warm! I’m ordering another pair in a different color!
