I have the regular Hunter rain boots, but they were a little snug in the calf for my daughter. I got this style instead, and they fit like a charm. Also, in winter, with a thick sock or the inserts, they also work as a really good snow boot. Definitely worth the money.

Love these boots! I got the black and their a little too large in the calf, but the original Hunter boots were a touch snug in the calf. The only thing that would have made me like the boots more was if they made them the same height as the original. The Huntress is a bit shorter...just because a woman has larger calves, doesn't mean their short! Now if we could only get Hunter to make the Etsy in a larger calf...that would be great! Overall, great boot and I love this website. Zappos is great all around!

Excellent, attractive product. These boots fit great and were just the right height for my 5'3" daughter.

Big rain storm came through our area in No. California. I work on 8 acres of land which include 100+ year old buildings, cemetery and all kinds of ground. I finally decided to buy the best rain boot made..The Hunter and I was right. These boots perform just like they were made by the original maker. Slip on like a glove and wear well all day long. I bought the huntress because of my muscular calves. If you want the best, you won't be disappointing. Do your homework on size. Love my green wellies!! P.S. Zappos was great to deal with.

I ordered the Original, regular shipping, and Zappos sent it next day. It was a little too tall for my 5'3 frame (hit me right at the back of the knee), so I ordered the Huntress to compare. The Huntress is the perfect height for me, so I'm keeping that pair. (My pair has the Hunter label, not Huntress as others have mentioned.) I did not have a problem with either boot being too tight around the calves, and I do not have particularly skinny calves. I normally wear a size 9 and went with an 8. The Original is VERY roomy, while the Huntress is not quite as roomy. I'm sticking with the 8 Huntress as it will still allow me to wear a thick pair of socks comfortably. Nice quality boot, great Zappos service.

I am so pleased with my new boots! The width is perfect for my large calves. they are not enormously wide, but they do give me enough space to wear my jeans tucked in. They are comfortable to walk in and are light weight. The color is beautiful and not garish. I look forward to wearing them for years to come.

Excellent boots. Well crafted and comfortable. Worth the extra money you pay because you will likely have them for a long, long time. I usually wear a 7.7-8 and ordered the boots in a 7. They fit perfectly, even with thicker socks. I also appreciated that these boots are extended calf!

I love these boots. I do not one complaint. They look great and the wider calf makes them so easy to pull on and off. They are more expensive than your average rubber boot but I plan on holding onto these for a long time. I wear an 8½ and the 8 fits perfectly.

I just received my Hunter wellies and I love them! Everything I expected. I ordered the Huntress over the Original because I'm 5'1" and I read that the Original was a bit too tall for us short folks! The Huntress comes to about an 1.5 inch under the knee which is perfect. I ordered them a size smaller (based on other reviews). I'm a size 7, but ordered the 6 and without socks they leave enough wiggle room (heel does lift a little) but with enough room to wear with socks in the winter. It is a bit roomy in the calf area, but since I do plan on wearing them with jeans, this isn't a biggie. They still look adorable! I plan on using my Hunter's for getting to and from work in the rain, camping trips (always rains when we camp) and to just run around town in foul weather, in both rain and snow.

I love these boots. I am athletic and have never had small calves, about 16 inches around. These boots slid right on! The ankle is a little bulky, but if they fit my calf, I am happy. They also do hit a couple inches lower than the originals. I went with the size I usually wear; 9. I could have got an 8, but I was nervous the calf wouldn't fit as well. I highly recommend these boots!

I finally found rain boots that fit me! The others were either too tall or fit too snug in the calf. I'm 5'1 and 115 lbs with muscular calves. I ordered Hunter tall and they hit right behind my knee. Very uncomfortable and I couldn't tuck my pants into them. The Hunter Huntress's are so comfortable around the thigh. And perfect height. I wear a size 7 shoe and ordered a 6 in the Huntress. It fits great! Very happy with my purchase.

These are great boots for rain or snow. They're so comfortable that I can wear them all day. The only issue I had with them is that since there is no half size - the larger size was a bit too big, but the smaller size was too tight. Solution? Buy a pair of inserts from a drug store (usually about $5) and put them in. Now they fit perfectly!

With the help of your reviews I was able to order the right size the first time...I wear a 7 1/2 normally and I ordered a 7 in the boot. Fits great!

I've had my eye on these boots for a while, and finally had a good reason to buy them when I started doing animal rescue on a farm. They are so comfortable, warm (without being sweaty) and dry. But despite their practical purpose, they are also so cute and fashionable, and I've found myself reaching for them at even the slightest hint of rain. I only wish I bought them sooner!

Bought these instead of the regular boots since my calves are too wide for most boots, and they're perfect! I'm 5'1" and their height is just below my knee, so they're comfortable to sit in. Highly recommended!

The Huntress fit much better than the original tall. I first ordered the original tall, and they were too tight at the top. The Huntress fit well. Maybe a little big around the ankle. Comfort is good. I will keep them.

This particular style/height may run larger. I have another pair of Hunter in the glossy finish in the taller style size 8; a size 8 on this was way too big. Luckily Zappos is amazing and I got it the next day!

Love the boots. Have been trying to test them out as much as possible. I think I hear a bit of air out of the right heel but I think it is the air in the heel itself as my tootsies are so dry it can't be water. I do not have large calves but tried the original in Nordstroms and could not have tucked jeans in but the Huntress looks and feels great. I can tuck jeans in. Now I just wish they came in all the colors - now I want more.

Love this boot! I tried the Regent as well, but as others reviewers said, the top of the boot was too tight. These are perfect, can easily wear over jeans, even with liners.

I can't believe I found a rain boot that fits!!! I have larger calves and they even fit with straight leg jeans. Zappos is the best. I ordered them yesterday early morning and got them exactly 24hrs later. :)

I bought these boots after months of deliberation, and absolutely love them! I have a wider calf, and the original seemed too slim for me. These are perfect. I am 5'4 and they hit just a few inches below my knee. They leave enough room to tuck jeans into or a thick sock. The green color is awesome!

These are truly the best. I'm so glad I finally ordered them. Great fit, stylish, worth every penny. I almost bought the Originals but needed more space to tuck my pants in because I walk to work. No more wet trousers or mud splatters on your clothes. I'm this close to buying another pair (the Originals) just because the color selection is so much better. The day after I wore them, I bought a pair for my husband too. Enjoy!

These boots are great. If you have thicker calves these are the boots for you. Size wise they run a little large, I might go down a half a size for the perfect fit.

This is my 3rd attempt at a Hunter rainboot and I am finally happy! The short boot is a little too short, it made me look like a little kid. I'm 5'1 and definitely not pencil thin, so I have a hard time with boots in general which was why I opted for the shorter boots. I then went for the 16" boots, and they were so tall, they dug into the back of my legs. They were also narrow on my calves and within minutes left indentations. The "Huntress" boot was perfect. I'm wearing them right now and they're wide, so if you're pencil thin, beware! The sizing was tricky because of all the reviews I had read. I am a 6.5 in shoes/boots and a 6 in sandals. I bought a size 6 and they're a little roomy but I'm not swimming in them, and they are really comfortable. Plus, I would like to buy one of those sock things for the winter time. Hope this helps, I know the reviews can be all over the place.

Love these boots! Great in snow and rain. Only con is they are not too good on the ice--slippery Also purchased the socks which are so warm I usually wear a 7.5 and purchased the 8 They fit well but wit the socks are big and 7.5 would have been fine Zappos is the best in customer service!
