I love the style of timberlands but I don't think I would pay full price for something uncomfortable

Don't believe the high ratings for this boot. It is cold when worn below 45 degrees. The sole is HARD, and in rain, the water pours in because the tongue is not sewn down low enough. Step in a puddle and you have soaked feet. I actually had to spend an additional $30 to get the tongue sewn so I could wear it on a wet day, and another $20 for better insoles with an arch. As for the name. LOL. No one would EVER where these out doing anything with earth, they cannot even be worn outside in the rain.

Unacceptable ordering directly from the manufacturer, only for the product to come stained and with creases. As if, it had been worn or used already.

Really like the looks of these boots. Read the great reviews and immediately wanted a pair. Very disappointed they are not sold in 10.5 EW or 11 W. Never got a chance to even lace up in a pair.

I bought the red brown burnished and instead of having the heal and toe a darker color. THE WHOLE SHOE CAME AS A DARKER COLOR. It is almost as if Timberlands never even bothered to have any quality check on the design and color of the shoe. The shoe came in a box that said Nubuck but when I called and gave them the "color" code they said it was what i purchased. Timberland... Either update your pictures or do not sell the shoe, but do not put me and others through the waste of time of having to repackage and stop by FedEx to return shoes that look nothing like advertised. Hopefully the pictures below help give an idea of what you are actually ordering when choosing red brown burnished.

I have a 3 year old pair of Men's Earthkeepers boots which I've enjoyed and meticulously cared for. Unfortunately, as the photos attest, the leather strip between the boot and rubber sole is disintegrating -- it's simply peeling away. Eventually the boot will pull away from the sole entirely. I took it to a shoe repair shop and they're unable to fix it. So I called Timberland customer service. The service agent was completely disinterested in my plight and indicated that not only had my warranty expired, they also don't repair their products. No surprise on the warranty and I would've paid for the repairs considering the boot's age. But now I have no recourse but to throw them in the trash. Going forward I will never recommend Timberland. Their products don't last and the company doesn't stand behind your investment in them.

This product is good to wear but the color comes off a LOT. My socks literally turns black after wearing this particular shoe. However for the men's shoe I didn't notice any color that wears off. Only the kids shoe is like this. With just a wipe on the outside my paper towel turns black. Will be great to return it but didn't wear it until after my 30day limit, trusted timberland too much

I used this shoe for 4 days. I do desk job so has no tough terrain challenges.
But in just 4 days the tongue stitching started to come off. Very poor quality product from timberland.

I bought and returned these boots 2 times because the color wasn't even close to what it looks like on the site. When I called finally the lady checked a number and stated it's the correct pair that I ordered and that it's just the luck of the draw with the color. Mine were brown brown nothing like the picture. Needless to say they got returned and I'm bummed I can't get the ones they advertise!

I got them and they were brown brown which I didn't want. Now I had to send them back and hopefully next ones will be the right color.

Original pair was too large and Zappos executed a return and exchange for a half size smaller, good customer service. The next pair was a better fit but they arrived in what appeared to be non-original condition and showed signs of damage. Both boots were not laced up with laces threaded through only a few eyelets with the rest of the length knotted together loosely. They were missing the original interior Timberland packaging (wrapping material and cardboard/ paper shaping inserts) and both boots showed signs of scuffing/ scratches on the leather uppers. In addition, the loop to thread the laces through on the tongue of the left boot was ripped. Very disappointing. In examining these boots I'm not surprised the loop ripped as the leather for the tongue seems very flimsy (also on the pull loops on the boots) and the lining does not cover the tongue. I was also disappointed with the depth of the tread on the soles. It was shallow and I suspect would not provide good grip and likely wear down quickly. These boots look great but I'm going to try something else in light of getting a damaged pair and the questionable quality on examination. Disappointed that Timberland put out such a shoddy product and that Zappos sent me a pair poorly packaged pair that was damaged.

The brown color is much darker than as pictured. I usually wear a 12 and they were too big in the toe. 11.5 was a little tight with thick socks. Sending them back.

These are comfortable but wear out waaaayy too quickly. I have worn these on rotation for three months and for almost a month now they have almost no tread left. The soles are made out of cheap rubber. For $150 these are a disgrace. They look great, they feel great, they DO NOT LAST.

My fault, I didnt inspect the boot well enough before i purchased it. This boot is claimed to be water proof, it is even stamped on the outside under the logo. I realized only after i kicked a little powder snow onto the toe getting into my car, when the snow melted it soaked my sock! The tongue is not gusseted as on every "waterproof" shoe/boot in the world.
So a day later I am on a plane and I look down and notice the sole on my left boot is peeling off!!! Yikes I didnt pack a second pair of shoes. Am I gonna have to wrap tape around the toe???
The biggest insult was walking thru a big discount mart (Wal) and seeing the exact same boot for sale- minus the name. Exact copy. Guess it could have been a knock-off but one never knows

I just got my order this morning, and I found out that the internal material of one shoe fell out. I can see everything under that brown cover. I waited three days for this defective product, now I need to send this thing back for who knows how many days, order a new one for another three days. This process is annoying and unpleasant!

Wore them a couple days a week for 6 months before the soles started to detach, similar to previous pair. Other than that I loved them, but in future if I want a breeze around my toes I'll buy sandals.

I had a horrible experience with Timberland. I have been buying boots for about 8 years now from you guys, but after this experience I am done. I ordered this boot for my dad's birthday and it arrived all scuffed and scratched. I had to return it and buy it again, and I thought I would give it to him on father's day. The second pair came in also scuffed and scratched as if it had been worn. I failed to give my father a gift on his birthday and father's day in a timely manner. It is so frustrating that it happened twice in a row to a brand I really trusted. I will be returning the shoes to a local Timberland store and finding a new brand for boots. Thank you anyways.

I bought these boots as gift to myself. I've never owned a pair of Timberlands but I certainly knew of them due to brand recognition. Apparently this recognition is undeserved. Within a couple months very light use (running errands) the tongues began to separate. I have never used these boots for any type of hiking. After reading reviews, it appears a number of other customers of having this same issue. Quality of this boot is very poor.

I highly recommend that you do NOT buy these boots...don't be fooled just because they look good...you have been warned.
I bought these about 3-4 months ago and only wear them around my office. I alternate between these and a pair of leather driving shoes (other brand). Not only did I have those leather loafers for much longer, but do you believe the back of my heel is already separating from the Timberland boot, what a joke! I haven't even done any type of extreme activity in them, not to mention they were more expensive.
Funny how a pair of leather loafers turned out to be way more rugged then these Earthkeepers, I will never buy another pair again! I will upload a picture so you can see. Keep in mind when you walk, the gap gets bigger and you can almost trip because of it.
