I bought these shoes for my son who has gigantic feet (size14)...so glad to have Zappos or he wouldn't own any shoes as they're never in any stores. These boots fit perfectly with thick socks. He said they're very comfortable and didn't need breaking in time.

I have flat feet with no arch. I have purchased two sets of shoes this year and all of them hurt my feet badly. I had an old pair of Timberland work shoes that felt comfortable so I searched for the same in walking shoes. I now need to buy buy another pair in a different color. This will be my third pair since I have found what works for my feet and a pair for my son for he has my feet.

Overall, a great boot although I've only had them for a month. I'm on my feet in an ecology lab and in classrooms all day long and the comfort of the boots can not really be matched, never had a problem. They are very light and well cushioned. The ability to layer thicker socks basically means that you have a quality 3 season boot. The sizing on these is correct (i.e. not the poor sizing on Timberland Pro). The leather is waterproof (although I'll be redoing that every so often anyway) but the gussets on the sides of the boot are not closed off. If you submerge the boot above about 1" to 1.5" your feet will be wet, just to let you know in advance.They break in very quickly and take wear quite well. Granted I haven't had them for too long so I don't know about the long range durability. Still, if you are considering them, go for it.

Comfortable and great looking boot. Runs pretty big, had to get a full size smaller to get the right fit. I wore these in some pretty rough weather and they've stood up pretty well so far. Only issue is the leather-based insole stained my socks. Otherwise, great boot.

Good light weight work boot - Definitely a 1/2 to 1 size smaller than you would normally wear (1/2 was good for me).Very comfortable, light weight. Eco-friendly!

Comfortable - My wife gave me these boots for x-mas. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I wear a size 12M and could have got by with an 11 1/2M. They are also a bit wide but fine with a thick sock. There is no need to break them in as they are perfect right out of the box. Great with jeans in all types of weather. I have not really tested the waterproof claim, other than walking several miles through the snow & there was no issue with dampness going through the leather. These boots are nice looking and well worth the money.

Great Boot! What a great boot. I was able to wear it right away without having to break it in. I did have to buy 1 size smaller than I usually wear.

My husband loves these boots - I bought these boots for my husband for Christmas and he loves them. He says they are so comfortable like he's had them for years. He says they feel like they're already worn in. We give them a thumbs up for comfort and style and also the price and fast delivery from Zappos!

Wow - Love this boot. Was looking for a boot in this style for several years before I came across this on-line. Was concerned about purchasing without trying it on but needn't be. Extremely light and comfortable...like walking on pillows. Fits a 1/2 size bigger than other boots I’ve owned. An insole solved that.

Shoe runs at least a full size to a half size larger. I wear 11 in all shoes and a 10 fit me prefect. They are definitely cut big. But once you find your size the fit is very comfortable. Look great with jeans.

A quality boot but still pricey. These foots are relatively flat in the arch, so plan on an arch support device if you need one. Also, consider sizing down one size for best fit; these boots run larger than indicated. They are ready to wear out of the box, no break-in required.

Darn good boot. Really comfortable, and uniquely stylish. Only thing is they run a little huge. I usually where an 11 ,and expecting the boot to be big, I decided to get a 10.5, but after trying it on I'm thinking I should have even got a 9.5(this is the only reason I knocked off a star). But the shoe was just too cool for me to have to wait to return it. So I kept it anyways. Buy a pair if you want to be cool. Some may not know how to react to them, but you just gotta wear 'em like you know something they don't.

Great Boots - These are great boots - very comfortable right out of the box (no break-in needed), seem to be well made and are a pleasure to walk in. The third time I wore them I walked around a trade show all day long (if you've ever done this you know what a toll it can take on your feet, back, etc.) and I felt great the whole day. I would certainly buy another pair.

These boots are comfortable and dry. However, my first pair didn't even make it through 2 winters before starting to fall apart. Zappos did replace them, considering the short life vs. the price. If the new pair gets me through 2 more winters, then I'll have gotten my moneys worth.

Great look, but the hollow rubber soles don't hold up. I wore through mine in just the first couple months.

I own two pairs of these, one in black one in brown. The style, comfort, and design all get five stars. The sole gets only one. The soles are poorly made and you slip on every surface when wet. These boots get two stars .

While these boots are great looking and extremely comfortable, they are not work boots by any stretch of the imagination. There is no lining that attaches the tongue to the rest of the boot (like others have said) so the instant you would step in like an inch of water your feet would be soaked. Also the leather is way too supple and has no secondary layer or support to speak of. I have to admit, I am pretty disappointed that Timberland didn't make these "Earthkeepers" more weather proof - I will be sending them back tomorrow.

Great looking boot, super light, and EXTREMELY comfortable due to the ultra soft leather. Unfortunately, because the leather is so soft the boot loses its shape rather quickly, especially in the heel area. Also, runs a full size larger than marked.

Great looking boot that is not designed for use in snow/rain. Absorbs water and your feet get soaked. In addition, the sole is very soft and wears out easily, almost like a sponge. The leather is actually showing signs of wear with two winters of use. Overall, great looking boot when the weather is cold and dry, but definitely not for snowy/wet conditions. I am quite disappointed with this boot given the cost.

I bought this boot in January of 2008. After 13 days, the top leather of the insole separated from the foam base merely from regular foot sweat. I understand earth-friendly adhesives are great, but that was ridiculous. Considering it a manufacturer defect, I attempted to contact Timberland directly to receive a replacement insole. Instead, I got the run around, continually being told to contact so-and-so who told me to contact the next person. Zappos' amazing customer service stepped in, called me, and offered to send me a new pair of the boots and send mine back once they arrived. I appreciated the A+ service I received and won't hesitate to purchase from Zappos, but unfortunately I won't be purchasing another Timberland product. These boots are really comfortable otherwise, and fashionable, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone expecting to wear them like you would actual boots; my Chuck Taylor All Stars have held up better.

Nice looking, uncomfortable, not an all-day boot. First let me say the service by Zappos has been incredible! This boot was disappointing. While good looking, it lacked padding, especially in the tongue. Didn't seem very durable. Certainly not a work boot for someone on their feet all day. Felt like 1930's technology in a modern boot. A classic look, but not the Timberland comfort I have had in the past. I sent these back. Felt a WHOLE size larger than marked!

Awesome boot! I am very pleased with this product. It is super comfy (first wear six mile hike) and problem free! I took the advice of others and ordered one size smaller and they were perfect. However, after just a few weeks the stitching on one of the tongues is coming apart. A bit disappointing. I am going to have it repaired because I do think/hope they will last and because they are just so dang comfortable! Outside of the tongue glitch I give these boots an A+.

These are amazing boots! Bought these for my boyfriend and he loves them! Perfect for dressing up or down. He wears a size 12 and I ordered him a 10.5W and they fit him like a glove! As always, Zappos had them delivered in speedy time!
