Item has terrible scratches on front of toes. Had to return.

Both boots came scratched.

The shoes are nice looking, that’s why I got them for my dad but after him putting it on for the first time to a family party, the strap thinking in the back already broke and is not hanging on. I would expect for a shoe that expensive to not tear apart that fast. We are not able to return them because my dad threw the box away.

I wanted to like these shoes, they look great and are comfortable however after about a month of relatively light use the heel sticker (yes its a sticker to make it look like the heel is made from layers of material) is coming unglued. As always Zappos is awesome and makes return a breeze. I will order a more durable shoe from another brand.

8 months old and the heels on the shoos are peeling, shoving different color underneath. $118 in the drain. Would not recommend it.

I ordered a pair of these boots about a month ago, in my usual size (10) and am now in the process of returning them. They were so tight and narrow I could scarcely manage to squeeze my feet into them, and, once I did, I realized that wearing them would be cripplingly painful. I do have wide feet, but this is the first time I've ordered size 10 shoes (including boots) from Zappos and not found them to be a perfect fit. The question I'm now asking myself is: is it worth exchanging them for another pair a half or full size larger. My guess is: no. But if anyone else has had a similar experience with this particular brand and style of boots, I'd be curious to hear it.

The right sole of these boots perished utterly after a year of light use. Left sole is fine. Two different materials in the same pair. Damage is not surface contamination but through the whole sole evenly. Unrepairable too. Second pair from Born, most likely the last.

I liked the boots but the manufacturer packed one size 15 boot and one size 13 boot in the box so I had to return and now they don’t have size 15 anymore.

Ordered a size 8.5. The box said 8.5, but the shoes were 12.0

Not a sturdy boot. A tack went right through the thin sole and now water gets in rendering the boot useless. Save your money.

Very comfortable. Fairly stylish. Good arch support, with a slightly wide fit (my preference, as I have a wide foot around the toe). When I got these, they were so comfortable that I thought maybe I'd found the perfect boot for annual purchase. Boy, was I wrong. In the first week, the woodgrain veneer on the heel began to hopelessly peel off. It has continued to peel since, and the boots look ancient and ragged because of it. That's just annoying, though - they still fit and wear fine, so I'd be willing to look past it if I didn't have other issues with the shoe. But the leather around the ankle is now folding and collapsing, with a big fold sitting near the bottom of the heel on both of my shoes! I have literally never have a pair of boots do this before, it's just absurd. I store them upright and with nothing on top of them, and I don't lean my ankles back in them constantly or anything. And yet, saggy boots. But wait, there's more! My insoles are literally disintegrating after three months of owning these shoes. Literally. Disintegrating. I have white bits of foam I have to pour out of these boots because the material on the inserts has been physically rubbed away, exposing the foam supports, which are now falling apart. This may be the worst shoe I have ever purchased. My theory is that, if you're not a larger or more massive person, these shoes may wear perfectly well! I'm a size 13, and I'm 6'1 and 250lbs, and these shoes have been absolutely destroyed in my 3 months of wearing them (~150 miles of walking on them). I am so disappointed with my purchase that I have asked Zappos for an exceptional circumstance return. These shoes were clearly never designed with any kind of durability in mind. They're basically garbage. I am so sad, because I wanted to like them so badly. Worst shoe I've ever owned.

Ordered size 14, which is correct size for me - ordered 2 pairs of born brand, one shoe one bootie type hybrid of a shoe and boot. Both way too small - reordered both in a size 15 which I have never done with a shoe before this. Hoping for the best.
