Love these boots!

Buying online there is always a unkown factor. But always have had a great ux with Zappos. These are great shoes. Fit true to size, comfortable, well made, easy to put on and off wothout feeling loose when on, can dress up or down, and better looking in person. Very pleased.

First time buying shoes online (at Zappos or anywhere else) and I was hesitant, especially with boots, about fit issues. Finally decided that since every pair of shoes of any style (dress shoes, sandals, sneaks, boots) I've bought in my adult life have been 8.5 size, odds were good that size would be right for these Born Hemlock boots and they did fit as I'd hoped. So, if your shoe size has been consistent across brands&styles of footwear, then these will probably fit you at your regular size. I will note that the top of the shoe, the toe box area, is fairly shallow, so that I was conscious of a little pressure ON TOP, ACROSS TOPS of my toes where they meet the foot. Not painful or chafing or anything problematic, just pressing down snug across the top of base of toes, and I was wearing lightweight (thin) socks. These are leather and I expect will wear in, ease a bit and shape to my foot some as I use them, so I don't see a problem for me, but guys with beefier feet (I'm relatively small-boned and lean) may feel pinioned from the top a bit. These look nice, and happily, just like you'd expect from the pictures (not always the case online!) and are designed in a way that makes them versatile. Some similar boots by other brands have big, obtrusive clunky cleated soles (which are a great look when you want that vibe) that scream "hiking boots" or "Monster truck tires" or something, so that limits what you can wear those kinds with, but the Born Hemlock boots have low-key detailing on the sole bottoms, so that when wearing them , they give a more polished look that works better with more types of pants, and can be dressed way down or dressed up. I wore mine nearly 12 hours the first day after I got them, and no discomfort or problems, no drama with needing to break them in. Happy I bought them, and pleased with how well Zappos communicates and the Zappos experience generally.

Fantastic everyday boots. Comfortable fit. Great finish. I ultimately went with the Born Pike because I wanted something slightly more dressy but I may come back and buy these Hemlocks later. They were that nice. The color (brown) was exactly as pictured. I was a little worried about the toe being too square for my tastes but it looks softer in person.

Born run pretty much spot on in Size maybe a tad Larger but compared to most when you wear a 13 and need a 14 to fit its not fun,,Born I buy 13 and they fit like a 13 should.... Just wish the Toe wasn't Square" ish "… Liked the Pointed model better... But I would buy again only because the price and quality are very good and the shipping was super fast !!… Excellent Job Zappos !

This is an awesome boot! A friend of mine has worn this boot for years and can't stop bragging about it. I bought a pair a few months ago and now I understand why he's such a fan. These boots look great and are extremely comfortable. Lastly, I noticed a prior comment from someone mentioned that he was unhappy with the Hemlock because it didn't wear as well as a work boot should. That's understandable because the Hemlock isn't a work boot and it isn't classified as being a work boot. It's a stylish casual boot that is very durable. Enjoy it for what it is.

This is my first day wearing these boots. They feel good. I have done some walking around in them. They offer good support. I like their look.

I LOVE Born shoes. I ordered another pair directly from Born on the same day, just a different color that wasn't available in my size on the day I ordered. The other pair are exactly correct. This pair feels just a little snug. I'm not too concerned because I know they will stretch out over time and become perfect.

This is the second pair of Born Boots I've had. The last pair made it four years until the sole wore through. I think the quality has improved with this new pair: leather seems thicker, sole is better material with improved tread, elastic at ankle is stringer/ stretchier. They still run about 1/2 a size large, but that's fine because in most cases I'm wearing thicker socks with these anyway. I highly recommend these for mild weather boots.

I normally wear a 10.5, but ordered a 10 and they fit great. Really comfortable out of the box. Broke in to my feet quickly. Would recommend.

So far so good. These boots look great. They were a tiny bit stiff but after wearing them for a full day felt fine.

I ordered the black, distressed gray and the brown. The shoes fit well. However, I did notice that the gray feels a bit looser than the black and the brown feels a bit looser than the black. While not a big deal, it is noticeable.

I love the boots. Zappos algorithm suggested a full size larger than the size I normally order. I ended up ordering 3 pairs: 1/2 half size smaller than I expected, my "regular" size and a full size larger based on Zappos recommendation. The pair that actually fit was the 1/2 size smaller....

Born shoes are wonderful. I do wish they had more arch support. I have high arches. Most impressive is 2 + year old Born shoes have same heel cushion as new

I wear a true 11 across the board... but based on reviews I ordered these in a 10.5 and sure enough, they run a half size larger as the 10.5 fits me perfectly. The style of these is spot on for me - the leather is supple but the styling is semi rugged with nice visible stitching and the elastic web on the sides has a strong tech look. These are NOT boring but are no means over styled either. Yet to determine how long they will last or how truly comfortable they are as I haven't put many steps in them yet... but I purchased these in addition to the Ariat Spothog (returned) and these look and feel much better.

I normally wear either size 10 1/2 or 11 shoes and boots, depending on the style, manufacturer, etc. I originally bought these in a size 11, but found them to be too large, so had to return them. I then decided to try them again but in a size 10 1/2. They felt a little snug at first, but with minimal wear around the house, they broke in nicely and fit like a glove. I love the distressed grey color (graphite), and the style.

I was concerned by so many reviews that cautioned others about the boot being too large, and a few indicating it was too small. I stuck with my normal size and am glad I did. Good fit, stylish - and wore them comfortably all day.

Love these boots, there were a few stitches that had to be clipped with scissors upon arrival but other than that the quality was good and the shoes are very comfortable.
