MR1123 Soft & Supportive - Soft for sensitive feet. They do not rub. Toe box allows for the toes to spread. Supportive for weak ankles and knees. Allows for walking flat on the bottom of feet. I did not need to add my own orthotics because of the great insert. Best shoe I've ever had. Wish they would come in more colors so I could buy them all.

Still the best I can find - Had 2 pairs of the 1122 & this is the first of the new replacement 1123 - still the best I can find for flat feet & Plantar Fasciitis. Had it in both feet, it's healed for the most part. My job requires MUCH walking. I wear the Rockport at work (3rd pair Manchebos) and the NB after & week-ends. Great shoes - wish it came in different colors and looked a little more "sporty". And as always - Zappos is the best!

The best shoe on the market - I’m a long time New Balance buyer, and am very happy with these shoes. They seem a half size bigger than marked. But better than a half size smaller. I am a 2E size and have always been satisfied with New Balance. I’m still wearing my 1122 from last year. Every time you wash them they look new all over again. Plus Zappos had these shoes in my hand 18 hours later free. Will definitely return. Thanks Zappos for making internet shopping hassle free and gas free.

Great shoe - Great shoe if you have lower back pain. Helps keep your feet in line.

Great shoes - I’ve been wearing New Balance shoes for 25 years. I have never felt the need to try another brand. My only displeasure was when I bought a wider shoe when the appropriate width was not available and even then, the shoes felt great!

MR 1123 - Best Possible - This shoe is the best made, most comfortable shoe I have ever had. I expect many hours of gym time from it. Great support, fit, room for orthotics. Wish they came in black also. Thx.

Satisfaction with the show - I have problem feet. Many operations for failed joints, real and artificial, at present even a bruised tendon in one of my toes. My foot doctor recommended these, and I am now able to walk in comfort. I am no longer aware, when in these shoes, of any pain in my feet. However... The color and outward appearance in less than satisfactory. To walk comfortably, I have to wear these shoes to all functions. My fancy, schmancy shoes, which cost much, much more are gathering dust. I wish the 1123 came in more subdued exterior, one that would not draw the eye of a casual observer. Also, how to I keep them clean? Already, one of them has a blotch of unknown origin. Can they go in the washer? Is there a product or technique that I need to know to avoid the washer. I love these shoes, but I want to keep them looking good. By the way, can I dye the white parts with anything to make them look much darker? Thanks for a good product. Daniel L

Fitting the Bad Feet - My husband's feet were deformed by polio when he was a child. Now he can wear nothing narrower than a 6E width, and one foot is a size and a half longer than the other. He has worn this and similar models of the New Balance athletic shoe for years. This model and size are the best fit yet. Arch support, in his case, does not apply. We ordered another brand at the same time, and it was hopeless. Thanks for the easy return.

MR1123 - This is by far, the best shoes I have found. I have extremely wide feet, and the 1123 is one of the very few commercially available shoes in a 6E width that also has all of the additional support features (rollbar, etc). They are expensive, but worth the price when you need the features it has.

I can walk!! For several years I have been wearing the MR1122. They were the only shoes I could wear. When I found out they were discontinued, I was very worried. No need to be, however, as these are just as wonderful, if not better! They are the only shoes I can wear, period. They require no adjustments. I can walk w/o aches & pains in my feet, ankles & legs. If you have problem feet, give these a try. They absorb shock wonderfully, cushion the feet & prevent your soles from burning at the end of the day. $$$ well spent!!! I do wish they looked more like shoes, as there is no way they can be disguised for formal wear. Since they are the only shoes that work, I can only dress casually. Thank goodness I am not a social butterfly! Comfort is MUCH more important than fashion.

It's a shoe. The shoe is comfortable enough, except that the wind whistles through the toe mesh like it wasn't there. Don't wear this in cold or windy weather.

Real Comfort & Style - MR1123 are everything I expect out of New Balance, true to size and comfort is unbelievable. I would highly recommend this shoe if you have had back problems like me!!

Awesome - I am an overpronator, needing a shoe to stabilize my foot, this is the most absolute comfortable shoe, and my feet don't even hurt anymore. I which they made them in slippers.

New wide running show from New Balance - The is very similar to the 1122 but looks and feels better.

The shoe is great. The only issue was the shoe was a whole size larger than what I normally wear, other than that you will like the shoe a lot.

I have planar problem and need orthopedics. This works really well inside these pairs and the extra support is great. I would buy another pair if it was not so expensive which is why this is not getting a 5 star.

I bought these for my husband because of his plantar fasciitis. He uses them to cross-train in. They have an odd look to them - like there is no left and right - but he really likes them. They've definitely helped his condition.

These shoes have a bit of a strange look to them because the inside of the sole doesn't curve as much as other shoes I've had. This is probably for the support that I need. It seems to have helped with my Plantar Fasciitis, although it's not gone completely. I feel like it's doing the job I expected.

The shoe has a large toe area. I recently had foot surgery and I need this larger area. These shoes worked out nicely.

Shoes are very nice. Helps with both inward and outward role. This particular pair had a slightly shorter tongue than previous pair.

Now that I have about 157 miles on these things, I figured I may write a review. I am a severe overpronator. My feet are as flat as pancakes. And on top of that they are narrow, too. So I ordered these in a B width. They fit great! They are very stable and great running training shoes for those who overpronate. I thought they would be very heavy. They may be a bit clunky, but not too heavy. They have given my feet the support they need to get back into running. Quite comfortable actually.

I’ve been wearing the New Balance for years now, having them recommended to me by my Orthopedic Doctor. I really like them; these are the lightest weight I’ve had. The tongue could be wider as they tend to slide off the one side or the other. But otherwise I would recommend them.
