I came across the New Balance 1123 at a local shoe chain, and fell in love with them! However, being a loyal and highly satisfied Zappos customer, I decided to order them as soon as I got home. I have flat feet with a very low arch, and have a difficult time finding a comfortable walking shoe for every day exercise. I do add an insert for extra support, but I have been very satisfied with this selection. I am on my second pair, and have also ordered 2 additional pair just in case you sell out. For now this is the shoe for me. Definitely two thumbs up!

Size 8 in 1123 = 8.5 in my NB 659 and 455 styles. No arch support in these, but due to a recent metatarsal fracture, I really appreciate the extra stability and if needed will add arch support. They don’t look any chunkier than my other pairs except in the arch area where it looks like you have your shoes on the wrong feet! I’d describe the color as magenta or berry. I’m very happy!

This is THE comfortable shoe from New Balance, and this is my fourth pair of New Balance, started with #991, #992, #993, then this one #1123. Compared with 993, this one I can walk in all day and my feet won't feel heavy at the end of day, the 992, after walking about half day, my heel starts getting uncomfortable, but not with the 1123, the support is excellent, the most comfortable shoes since I started wearing running shoes, especially for flat feet, the only thing is the style doesn't look as good as the 993. I highly recommended these shoes. And when I ordered the shoes, it was urgent, because my last pair #992 was already worn out, so I need a new pair right away, and I got the next day without delay, excellent service from Zappos!

I’m on my 4th pair of these shoes; they offer good stability and support for people with problem feet who refuse to give up running.

I love my new sneakers. I have tried many brands however these NB are the best. Recommended by my physical therapist. I have a lot of trouble with balance and these sneakers (#1123) with the "rollbar" and "motion control" give me the support I need. I have MS and these make my walking much easier. Thank you NB and Jim. Try it you'll like them too.

I have ortho inserts which fit like a glove in the 1122 but in these shoes they do not fit. The right insert doesn't fit and rides on the side of the shoe. The doctor said I should level it out using some padding underneath the insole. I measured the inside of the shoes in the problem area and the right shoe is a quarter inch smaller. I tried on 3 different shoes in 3 different stores and they all fit the same. I decided to order these because the doctor said he could fix the problem by adjusting the insert however, he wanted me to try the padding first. I won't be buying these again. Shoe is a 1/2 size larger than the 1122. The tongue of the shoes is too short and moves when you walk. What was NB thinking when they made these shoes?

After foot surgery, I was delighted to find this extra-extra wide shoe with a square toe box. The unusual sole design is very ergonomic and keeps the foot in motion.

I am a daily walker, so my walking shoes must be a superior quality. These shoes fit the bill. I felt the comfort the very first day I wore them. At night in my old shoes my feet would ache. Not with these shoes. My whole body feels better when I walk in these shoes and all throughout the day. I would recommend these shoes to any walker who wants excellent comfort and excellent support for their feet. I would like to see some in different colors. Please keep me informed when my size with different colors is in stock. I never want to do without this shoe or something comparable.

BEST SHOE EVER MADE - I'm a nurse working 12hour shifts. I also have plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, and flat feet. The dr recommended New Balance so I tried these. I can work all 12 hours without any pain at all!!! I ordered 2 more pair. I now have 2 for work to rotate and 1 for every day. My friends say they look like moon shoes, but if I can walk without pain who cares.

These are great for wide feet. Much wider than the Asics 2EE. Since they are wider, they also seem longer as well. With big feet (11EE), it was a nice change not to have smashed toes at the end of my shoes. I have worn them everyday to work since my walking boot came off and I feel very secure in them and don’t even bandage my foot. I got the mesh dirty and I tried to spot clean them. The purple bled... I am now scared to put them in the washer, as the mesh would likely be purple afterwards. Overall, I couldn’t live right now without these shoes. All my dress shoes hurt my broken foot and these let me stand all day (I’m a teacher) and I’m feeling fine by the time I get home!

Another good shoe from N.B. I'm a big girl that needed a sturdy walking shoe with support. I stick an arch support in and I'm good to go.

As Cinderella's wicked stepsister, I have a very difficult time finding a shoe that fits. This shoe not only fits, it felt like my feet had gone to heaven. Having had both knees replaced and short wide feet with high insteps, I require a shoe with great support. Thank you New Balance and thank you Zappos for making my life just a little bit better!

I have the hardest time trying to get shoes to fit my feet because I have wide feet with bunions. I loved these shoes from the first time I put them on. I never had a pair of shoes that felt comfortable from the start. I wear them every day because I have planter fasciitis and these shoes help with the pain. I highly recommend buying these shoes. I also can't say enough of the excellent customer care that Zappos.com gives. I don't even bother shopping anywhere else for my shoes because I can't get the same customer care that Zappos.com gives. Thank you Zappos.com!

This is my third pair of these shoes. I have bunions and these in a wide work nicely. Zappos selection and service is superb. I would go shoe shopping before I found this site, and found my experience to be less painful.

These sneakers felt the most comfortable for my orthotics, out of approximately 20 other styles and brands, although they are not, to me, the most stylish. They offer great support if balance is an issue. My only complaint is that New Balance only changes their colors (I'm not a maroon fan) every FOUR years, which is in October 2010.

I strongly recommend these New Balance runners; I am so happy with the New Balance WR1123s. I have plantar fasciitis, wear orthotics, walk/run about 50 minutes every day, and these shoes make that possible. Great support, wide enough toe box, so comfy. I love New Balance, and Zappos service is awesome! I shop nowhere else for shoes. The mall? I don't think so!
