Great boot! I wore them to Alaska at the beginning of March for the ceremonial start of the Iditarod; lots of standing around in the cold. It was 25 degrees (or less) and snowing the whole 4 days, but my feet were warm and comfortable. Didn't even need to wear socks in them. They are very lightweight for that much insulation. The lining is really soft and the laces make the boot completely adjustable. Not a huge fan of the blue accents, but they are not very noticeable when the boot is on. Also, have to double knot the laces as they are somewhat slippery and tend to come untied otherwise. All in all, though, I'd buy them again in another color!

So I got these Kamik boots because my mom likes her Kamiks. She got hers from a different company last year, but they held up well in "Snowpocalypse" so now I get a pair. We chose to shop on Zappos this time of course because the free two-way shipping made these boots the best deal on the web. Yay Zappos! Anyway, I finally got my Kamik Brooklyn snow boots. I have to say that I am already happy with them. And when I mean finally -- well Zappos got them to me overnight, after I returned the originals, which were a size 7. Let me be clear that I was torn on sending back the 7s, but they felt a little too small to comfortably wear with socks, and I had the experience of wearing too small boots of another brand, and I didn't want to do that again. So, I already love the boots! They are comfortable, and more supportive than my Uggs (which although are doing fine, just don't give the warmth or protection from the elements to handle Pittsburgh this winter). However, to be fair, the arch support is supportive compared to Uggs, which have zero arch support, but not quite as supportive as they could be! The boots also aren't hideous and still keep my toesies toasty outside! Which is a big plus of course! The boot also has a roomy enough shaft to wear pants underneath. But yeah, the big plus is that for snow boots, they are pretty good looking. Also the treads are great on these things. No slip and sliding and falling on your behind. The fake fur trim, and the microsuede accents also draws attention away from the fact that these are obviously synthetic materials... and makes the boot that much less overly casual. So the shoes come with two sets of laces, one black and one baby pink (which I can't decide if I like or not). The laces are pretty substantial though, which is good. Also good is that that the gusseted tongue of the boot can open wide enough that you don't have to lace or unlace your boots just to put you foot in. So they get on and off pretty easily. Also the quality seems pretty sound. The lace loops are metal and look attached pretty soundly. Also there aren't any loose threads or stitches on the boots as far as I can see, so it doesn't look like it will fall apart. The nylon outer is properly placed, with the weave matched up on the back seam on the weave on the front being properly aligned forward -- a quality that is rare with products that are produced outside of the Eurozone or the Americas... so these are likely made at factories with strict quality control guidelines, and decently paid employees (at least on Chinese standards) so the guilt factor for buying one of their products can also be relatively low (although I don't know this for sure).

I purchased the brown, which are slightly darker than they appear online and come with extra light blue laces. They are super cute and seem like they will be very warm once it gets cold out! My only complaint is that they don't come in half sizes. I wear an 8.5 and bought a 9. They seem ok with thick socks; there's just a little extra wiggle room. They're also moderately wide, which is nice for those of us with flat feet! Good price and fast delivery too.

Many people have mentioned these feel a little short when first tried on. I felt it too, but was lazy about sending them back; they did stretch out and now are very comfortable, both with thin and thicker socks.

These are extremely warm and comfortable boots. The color on the website is quite true and the sizing is comparable to what I wear in other active shoes. I have room for heavy socks if I want them. The laces help to adjust width sizing and keep the calf snug and warm. I like that there is no cuff of fur so I can wear jeans in or out this way. The sole is quite stable and there is some firmness built in to the boots up to about an inch up from the sole. I love them and cannot wait to wear them in the snow. I have not worn them in the rain yet, but they are said to be waterproof. There is a wool-like lining completely covering the inside of the boots, which adds to the comfort and warmth. The inner sole surface is relatively flat, so I can use my orthotics in them. I do not a single complaint with these boots.

Very warm boots! Chicago winter finally got going and I have yet to have cold feet but they breath well so my feet don't get too sweaty. Definitely waterproof enough to trudge through the slush. I had to put in an insole though because the size 6 ran big (usually wear 6-6.5) but there is enough room if you need to wear thick socks. Nice any roomy in the toes. They are fashionable too!

They are comfortable and warm. They seem to run bigger in the front/foot area. I guess I'd say somewhat wide. I do wish they came in half sizes because I'm right in between!

This is the third winter I've had this Kamik boot and it's very warm and also waterfproof. It's lined with black fur and the insole is extremely comfortable. I use one pair of socks and my feet have never been cold, even when standing or walking on snow for a long time. The sole is probably about an inch thick so my feet are protected from the cold by the thick sole. This is a Canadian brand and it sure holds up to winter cold. Also, this boot is a reasonable price, compared to some other boots. I just bought a pair for my daughter for Christmas and she loves them.

So warm. As somebody who always has cold feet this means so much to me. They're not the absolutely most fashionable boots out there, and they might not have the best grip on ice, but I know how to walk on ice in worse so I'm doing okay. My feet are dry and warm which is what I bought them for. I can't ask for anything else.

What a great boot. It looks good and is as warm as it says. We haven't had much snow in Fargo this winter but today it was 2 degrees and my feet were toasty! There is very little arch support and I really need that but it's rare to find in a snow boot. It felt very true to size and although I'm a plus sized woman the calf is pretty roomy and I have to lace the boot tight. I'm really quite pleased with this boot.

This is a very comfortable boot. I must walk several blocks to public transportation in snow and ice, and these boots have a good sole for traction, and are high enough to keep snow out but not so high that they constrict my walking. They are warm! They look good too and are easy to put on.

I have a wide foot and often have a difficult time finding a comfortable boot. I had to return the first set of boots because they were too large. Unbelievable. A half size smaller left plenty of "wiggle room" for my toes, and there's still room for a medium to thick pair of socks in these boots. The extra pair of pink shoe laces is just frosting on the cake. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

This boot is amazing! I bought these for a trip to Germany over Christmas. Because I live in Texas, I didn't have any snow boots that I use here that would also keep me warm. These boots are super cute. I ordered the gray color and love the purple laces that come with. They are very warm and I wore one pair of socks with them and my feet were never cold in Germany, even when walking through snow. Super comfortable as well and I could wear them for 8 hours straight walking around and had no pain in my feet. They are also tall enough that you can tuck your pants into the boot or wear them under your boot and they look great either way. When I'm at home I like to wear them with my jeans over the boot. They keep my feet warm and dry while also looking great with jeans! Great shoes! I definitely recommend!

I love these boots! I've worn them a couple times in below 0 weather and my feet have stayed warm! Great for Wisconsin winters! Very comfy and they fit under boot-cut jeans so you don't have to do skinny jeans! I ordered a 1/2 size up and they fit great.

I've bought and returned a lot of winter boots. I wear an 8 1/2 in boots but most only come in whole sizes, so the 9's are often too large. This was the first 9 that actually fit. They are a little too large, but with thick socks, they work. They fit like an actual 9 would fit me. The way the laces are situated makes it easy to tighten these up so they feel like they won't slip. They are waterproof as advertised and very warm. So far, they are also easy to clean.

The boots are great and very stylish and functional and Zappos is amazing to work with. They delivered the boots immediately and were the only place I could find size 11.

These are very warm, and very comfortable, great traction, waterproof and kept the snow out of my socks. I am so very glad that I went with this pair of boots!

These are a great pair of winter boots. I have been getting compliments every time I wear them. We haven't had extreme snow or cold yet, but I have worn them to walk in a couple of inches of snow and in temperatures down to the high-20s F, and they have felt great. I also wear them all day at work sometimes, and they do not make my feet too hot or sweaty. I usually wear size 8 1/2 and ordered a size 9, which fits very well (with room for a thick pair of socks, if needed). They also come with two pair of shoelaces (grey and dark purple for the grey boots), so you can vary your style if you like.

Definitely a nice looking boot but runs smaller than shoe size, will send it back for a larger size!

These boots are amazing! They are so comfy and kept my toes warm in 5 degree weather.

If you want the comfort of bedroom slippers and warmth beyond belief...buy these boots! True, yet generous sizing, no thick socks required!

Great boots. They do run small (short). I bought these for my daughter for a gift. She usually wears a size 6 in a boot (5 in a shoe) and she needed a size 7. Luckily, I tried them on prior to ordering, so I was able to guess right. I'd order again from Zappos in a heartbeat. Great experience. I received the boots within days of ordering. Thanks Zappos.

I bought these for the wife a week before the December 26 blizzard. She loves them, they are warm, keep her feet dry and actually almost match her teal parka. She has spent several hours outside in these and never complains about her feet.
