I first bought a pair in 9½, and immediately returned them because though the length was good, my feet just felt too tightly sandwiched in the shoe, as if there was not enough space or wiggle room for the top of my foot and toes. I then ordered a pair Nike Musiques and returned them, (too bulky and stiff), and finally the Zumba brand shoe, which I also returned (cheap construction, and only whole sizes, 9 was too small, 10 was too big). So, desperate to find a Zumba shoe to save my screaming knees, I ordered the Rykas again, in the same size, hoping that there was enough variation in the manufacturing process that I would get a pair that was not so snug. Well, they were just as snug (though still long enough), but given the rave reviews, I diligently wore them to Zumba. The first two classes, the snugness was still noticeable, and my toes actually went a little numb at one point. But, magically, by the third class, the shoes were completely broken in, perfectly comfortable, and no toe numbness. Also, they have good support, so all that jumping up and down is not so jarring anymore. Now I would not trade these Rykas for anything. My knees are doing much better, and the freedom of movement (especially for the pivoting moves), is almost effortless. I actually am more likely to go to Zumba now because I know that I will not have any discomfort.

This pair of shoes is okay but is not as good as the Ryka Studio Flex low and mid. It is rather short and a little narrow but still comfortable. If you have bunions like I do, this is not the best pair for you. I do zumba a lot and so far the best shoes for me is the Ryka studio flex low and mid. They are awesome. My feet feel cushioned all throughout the intense high impact hour long zumba session.
I'd also recommend:
None. Ryka so far is the only brand that gives me satisfaction.

These shoes are great for Zumba! Based on other reviews, I ordered one half size larger than I normally wear and they fit great. This is my second pair of Ryka's and the only difference I can see is that the heel is not as narrow as the other ones I own. However, the other pair is not good for Zumba so my recommendation is to have a couple of pairs. The others are great for walking & running and now I have this pair for Zumba. I think they look great and I will enjoy these. My walking/running shoes were causing me to have sore knees in dance class. I'm a firm believer that your shoe should fit the sport. I highly recommend these to anyone who dances.

If you want to find the best shoes for zumba classes, look no further! This is it! You are not going to hurt yourself wearing these shoes to a high impact exercise class. You can do turns, rotations, and jumps easily in those shoes. Just make sure you don't wear them outside, especially in the rain. This will increase friction. I change into these shoes when I arrive to the gym.

These are fabulous for Zumba! They allow you to do the sideway movements with ease. I bought a size up because I normally wear a D width. Still love them. They are attractive as well.

I bought these to replace my Nike Musique IIIs that I used for Zumba (6-10 classes/week). They have a lot more stability/structure to them. Initially, they were really slick, but after a few uses they became less slippery. I have a very high instep and wide foot and normally wear an 8 1/2 wide, so I ordered up to the 9 and it fits perfectly. I don't get the tingling toes from pressure on my instep like I did with the Nikes, either. Highly recommend!

I am so excited to have found this pair of shoes. I am a dance teacher and was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinitis in the inside area of my foot. My physical therapist recommended to look for shoes with stability and arch support. I found it in the Ryka Studio D. I can still demonstrate in it and get the support I need to teach pain free. It has great rounded edges so it's not so bulky and I can still do a pirouette in it. I am buying another pair and I hope Ryka will keep making this model. I can also see it being useful as a Zumba shoes and walking shoes. It is lightweight too.

Positives: Pretty comfortable and cute shoe that is lightweight; allows for full movement of the ankle and has decent cushion. Negatives: Stickier on the floor than other brands of dance shoes. These tend to hurt the arch after dance use. Also, the included laces are quite long. Overall, a good shoe that works for Zumba. Ordering up a half size worked well.

Good dancing shoe. I use these for Zumba and hip hop style dance. Just enough grip and just enough slip to spin and slide, jump and stop. True to street size if not a teensy big and average width without being too tight. Good toe box room and arch support.

Great shoes for my aerobic dance class! Comfortable from the minute I put them on. I got a half size larger and they fit perfect. I've been buying Nikes Misique, which seem to run narrow. The Rykas are more comfortable.

Sneakers for grown-up women! Most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn, and the best-looking. They are supportive enough for the treadmill, flexible enough for low-impact aerobics. The B width is rather wide for me; I'd prefer a double-A, but I use a Birkenstock soft insole for more cushioning and to help them fit snugly. The best part is they look like good urban walking shoes. I can wear them with nice clothes, something I refuse to do with the standard florescent pink-and-turquoise athletic shoes, which I think look idiotic. I expect to love them for travel, too -- they don't shout American tourist in European cities.

This is a great shoe for working out and dancing (Zumba). The lateral support is really good and twisting movements are easier on the knees. I have an injury and this shoe has allowed to me to continue working out. I tried another dance shoe but I really wanted more lateral support. This shoe was the right choice for me. Zappos customer support was excellent.

I'm amazed. The shoes arrived in 1 business day and I wore them tonight to my Zumba class. I love them. For the first time I didn't leave with shin splints. Love them and highly recommend them. Oh, and I ordered my exact size and they fit perfectly.

I am actually wearing this as my everyday, non-workout shoe and I love it. I took out the laces and put in Locklaces, very easy in and out. My podiatrist thinks Ryka is a well built shoe, and my foot pain has pretty much disappeared since wearing this. I wear a pair of Ryka Synergy for workouts, also a great shoe.

I just ordered my third pair of this shoe. I had the grey and yellow, the white and grey and the only other color available is totally black. Not sure I like the all black - wish there were other choices for color. I Jazzercise and this shoe is perfect. I agree shoe strings are a bit long.

I bought the shoes for Zumba, and they are great for that. They are very lightweight and comfortable. The soles allow for turning and dance moves without getting stuck. I wore the shoes on a walk around the neighborhood and found that they do not have enough support for that, but I highly recommend them for Zumba.

Got this shoe, because I read in Livingstrong.com that Ryka was a good shoe for High impact aerobics, and it had great ratings. I also started a new workout Tracy Anderson't Method and during the first few workouts acquired painful shin splints. I could not do the workouts very well, then my Ryka came in and I did noticed a difference right away. There is more room in the front of my feet, and I do use the front of my feet to jump around. The Shin Splints did get better over the next several days using the Ryka shoes, By the 3 day I was not feeling the Shin Splints much at all, and was able to do the complete workout. It felt great! My toes did start to tingle during the last few minutes of my workout, but it sure beats shin splints. I love this shoe! Paid day I'm going to order the mid studio. I would not recommend these to someone with a wide foot. I have a normal foot and the shoe is pretty snug. I have to wear them with thin socks. I also bought them a 1/2 size larger, due to the snug fit reviews and they felt fine.

These shoes are so lightweight and perfect for my Zumba class. I have a narrow heel and there is no slipping which happens a lot with my other shoes.

Love these shoes. I am a 60 year old who just started zumba classes and have found these shoes to be lightweight and flexible. I have a wide foot and these shoes are as comfy as a pair of socks. They give me great pivoting capability. Definitely recommend for Zumba!

I wear these to teach Zumba 4 days a week on short, tight carpet or concrete. This is my second pair of these shoes. My first pair lasted about 6 months. The first pair really helped get rid of some knee pain. The circular pivot point and the minimal tread on the sole eases the resistance other shoes have while pivoting and being up on the balls of my feet. It provides enough traction for slick concrete but not too much for carpet. There is plenty of support for the impact moves and great support for lateral moves. My foot does not slide around side to side, so no worries there. I have recommended these shoes to several class members who have ordered them and say the shoes have made a difference for their knees and freedom of movement. Of course, they are super cute and look great with workout clothes and jeans too!

I puchased these shoes for my Zumba class and I knew they felt good on my feet. I didn't realize how great these really are until I got caught in a downpour one day and had to switch them for my other sneakers -- what a difference. These are now my go to sneakers and I will purchase a second pair to have on hand so that I'm never without them. They are comfortable, support your feet and are lightweight. They make a difference in how I move in class and just walking around in the city. They are also very cute on the feet. I sized up but I think you generally size up with sneakers.

I searched for a quality shoe for my wife to use in her Zumba class. This shoe had a mountain of reviews. It didn't disappoint, the comments I heard after the first week is they are solid, well supported, and awesome. I would recommend them with 5 stars.
