Unfortunately the Clarks Portland shoes are no longer available, they lasted me for 3 years of heavy use. I hope they come back! The Un.bend is a reasonable substitute that is comfortable and well constructed. It fits perfectly. But it does not have the same support the Portland offered.

Very comfortable, nice looking shoe. I use Orthopedic insoles and most shoes are too tight with them. These shoes have enough room and are very comfortable.

Comfortable from day one. I've had other Clarks shoes that had a hollow air pocket in the heel, which wore through rather quickly. These don't have that air pocket and I think they'll wear better. One minor complaint: The top of the heel is a suede material, and my pants leg seems to "stick" to it occasionally. No big deal, but I'm not sure why they put suede back there. Great walking shoe! And great Zappos service!

Very comfortable right out of the box. Good cushioning when walking on hard surfaces. Not the most stylish shoe, but that's all in the eye of the beholder.

Great shoes. Very roomy (and I need 4E), comfy and light with soft soles. Most comfortable dress shoe I've ever owned. Highly recommend.

Decided to try this shoe after reading the reviews. Styling is interesting. It's nice enough to wear to work but not too stuffy. None of that matters because they are so comfortable! Really solid and well made. Maybe just a touch wide in size but not by much. Very solid leather, but not too stiff to walk. Far superior to the usual sneaker type. Highly recommended.

I am very particular about foot comfort and shoes. These Un.bend's are soft, supportive and comfortable right out of the box. They have a casual look and feel but can certainly be worn formally. They even have air intake points to circulate air inside the shoe. After returning several other bands, I am keeping the Un.bends.

Fit very well and a great travel shoe when sneakers won't really do. Great option to go with jeans and khakis.

I am very pleased with my purchase. These Clarks are true to size and require no break-in to feel comfortable. This is my third pair of Clarks. They are a high quality shoe and are very durable.

A very comfortable pair of shoes. I can't really speak too arch support with the included footbeds, which I removed to for my custom inserts.

They look good, and they are very comfortable from the first day wearing them.

I like this shoe. The leather upper is soft and the shoe overall is well made. The footbed is dual-density and has good heel cushioning and a measure of arch support. The sole feels pretty grippy. I recommend this shoe if you like a soft, very cushy shoe. However, for me, I can only wear this shoe for a few hours and then I find it not to offer enough support and my feet feel strained. So, it doesn't quite work well for my feet as an all-day shoe or walking shoe. But everyone has a shoe that works for them, so it may work for others. Also, note, other Un shoes feel slightly different.

By far the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have had these for over 5 years now and still going strong. I bought mine here at Zappos and have not regretted it. I just wish they would last me forever but the wear and tear is starting to show up.

A little spendy but great, comfortable shoes. This is not my first pair of these particular shoes and the quality level, especially in the leather, was excellent. Meaning better than my last pair. I had heard some recent concerns about this series by Clarks but it seems things have been addressed. As always, delivery time was very fast.

Ordered these for my husband for Valentine's day, but they didn't fit. Usually he loves Clarks, but said these had a strange "arch support" that felt like a ball on his foot when the shoes were tied. They arrived quickly and looked great, just wish they had fit great too.

Overall, not bad; replaced a pair (didn't want to deal with the sole again). However, after 6 months of wearing, my heels are finally feeling that stupid sown logo/button. Whoever at Clark thought that was a good idea should be sent to a re-education camp. Don't mess with the foot!! I'll end up having to get some thin insole of my own now, which WILL change the fit, potentially ruining it. So, those of you reading this - you won't feel that thing for a while, but you WILL end up feeling it. Clark - GET RID OF IT.

I'm a returning Clark's buyer. I love Clarks (usually) 1. These run very long. This is the 2nd pair. Nice of Zappo's to allow returns. Still feels like "clown shoe" but the next size down is out of stock. 2. Left shoe has a lump under the heel area that is extremely uncomfortable. Right shoe feels fantastic. This is obviously a defect.

Disappointed. The leather looks cheap, they lack good support, especially for high arches and they are huge for 9.5 D. They are also somewhat heavy for comfort shoes with a rubber sole . Even at the sale price of $128, they’re going back. I had better luck with Ecco

I am attracted to the look of Clarks shoes for men but the fit is either too wide or too narrow.

I bought a pair of these shoes several years ago and have worn them routinely around the house and for short walks. I am a retiree so they have not been subjected to any unusual heavy action. My main issue with these shoes is that the breathing strips that are sewn in lateral to the lace holes came apart at the seams, which makes the shoes look a bit grungy. I have noticed in general with Clarks shoes that they tend to come apart rather than wear out. Another pair of Clarks shoes that I purchased developed laminar separation of the soles after some use and they had to be discarded. This brand of shoe is comfortable and tends to provide good arch support, especially with Dr. Scholl's heel inserts, but they seem to have structural weakness in areas of their manufacture.

Great style but how to find the right fit? I have tried to find comfort in Clarks ever since the decline in Rockport quality and materials. But, how to find joy with Clarks for my size 15W feet and required orthotics? Tried 15W but WAY too large. 14W was much too small. 15 Normal is much too tight in my toes. Tip from this shopper ... always buy from Zappos. Direct from Clarks is slow and refunds delayed.

I purchased this shoe - which is by no means inexpensive - and after two years the black "trim" pieces on both sides tore away from the upper... as it's nothing more than a cosmetic add to the style - it really shortened the life of the shoe

These shoes are a huge disappointment. I have two pair of Clarks Un.kenneth that I wear to work each day and they are awesome, so I figured I would try their casual shoes and bought the Un.bend. The shoe looks great, and I have received compliments on them, but they are very uncomfortable. As the name suggests - they don't bend. This makes walking in them very uncomfortable. They are so stiff that my heels are constantly rubbing on the back of the shoe. I was hoping this would go away as they broke in, even though they state they are already broken in, but it has been two months now and they are the same.
