I heart my hunter boots - I love these boots. The aubergine is a very nice, not in your face purple. Far more interesting than black. If money were no object, I’d get em in every color though. I think getting the hunter socks are prob a good idea. While these boots rock style wise, they provide no padding. So you need to provide your own. These are the opposite of the cushy feel of a moon boot, etc. but they look cool, protect me from the rain and I’m a happy camper.

Hunter Wellies - I have worn Wellingtons ever since I came back from my first trip to Scotland. I have always felt they were kicky AND practical! Now that I live in a rural setting, they are quite a necessity in our muddy fields and meadows. They do run a tad big, however, I think that's probably a good thing seeing as one might like to wear some wooly socks with them. Zappos has a terrific selection and competitive pricing on Hunter Wellington Boots, as well as being incredibly accommodating on helping with sizing and exchanges! Cute boots! Thank you for all the helpful reviews. Aubergine is a nice deep purple. I have problem narrow feet, but memory foam insoles took care of that. I'm 5'3" and the boot height was fine. Very cute worn over jeans.

Hunter Original - I was a bit nervous when I took my boot out of the box because it looked discolored. I grabbed the manufacturer's statement and read that that was the protective wax on the boot. Eventually through use, it will rub itself off. Other than that, I think I would have picked a bolder color. The chocolate pair are dull. I love my boots overall and have splashed around in them since purchased. They are high enough to keep me protected because I hate soggy pant legs. Make sure you size down when purchasing these boots. I wear an 11, so I got a size 10 and they fit perfectly.

Well-made - They are not enough quality products out there that live up to their name as well as expectations. I plan to collect these and have each color just for the fun of it - and because I will wear them... the socks are helpful that go with them during the colder days...

Amazing! These keep your feet super dry no matter the conditions. I have worn them in rain, snow, and freezing drizzle and they kept my feet nice and dry throughout. Only problem is the boot runs a little big. I would suggest going half a size down from what you normally are. But overall great boot!

Love them! I recently ordered a pair of Chocolate Brown hunter rain boots. I have worn them a lot and they are exactly what I wanted. I would buy them again in a minute. I wear a size 9 but ordered an 8 and they fit perfectly with regular socks or without socks.

Loved this - I truly love my Hunter Boots...I got them in Merlot and they go with everything!! They are so comfy...the only downfall is that they are tight around my calf...it did loosen a tad bit the 2nd or third time I wore them...I hope it loosens a bit more so I can where them over my jeans instead of under...I will definitely recommend them and will probably purchase another!

Great boots - Very functional wet weather boots that are good looking and fit well; I went for basic black so they can take me to the garden or the city; just enough room to tuck in pants. Zappos selection, delivery and return policy are unbeatable - I buy most of my family's footwear here!

These boots are my perfect winter companion! I never worry about the weather outside or how much snow and slush is on the ground - nor do I have to look where I'm walking when I'm treading around in these boots. No more avoiding puddles! Trample through them!! Plus, I got so many complements on them!

Comfortable and chic! I've seen celebrities sporting these in magazines here and there, but I've only seen a woman wearing these boots once in New York City! It wasn't until two weeks ago when I started obsessively researching these boots...I was TIRED of my feet being wet and soggy from other boots. You're going to hate me for this, but as a size 6.5 (never size 6 because it doesn't fit, sparingly a size 7 only if it's for pointy shoes or gym sneakers), I ended up getting the UK size 3. I tried the UK size 4 but they were HUGE and felt like I was wearing heavy rubber boots. The size 3 were perfect- I've been able to wear thick cotton tights with a pair of thicker cotton ankle socks topped with leg warmers no problem. I don't have skinny calves either; they're at 14.25"! Also keep in mind the larger the foot size you order, the taller the shaft of the boot.

A Michigan essential - These boots are so incredibly useful in Michigan weather. I can shovel a driveway or trek across campus and my feet stay dry. And they were invaluable to me when my car got stuck in a muddy ditch. I am laughing at my friends with their wet, soggy Uggs.

Sleek quality boot - Ordered Thursday, received Friday! Great looking and great fitting boot. I wear a size 11 and always have to buy zip up boots vs. pull-ons, because in an 11 the shaft of pull-ons is huge. Just because you have big feet doesn't mean you have big calves. Anyhow these fit my calves wonderful, and actually make my size 11 feet look small. Very slim , not bulky at all. Slim fit jeans will slide right in; boot cut jeans will slide right over. If you're going by the US size I would order a size down as I did, but the European size is right on. A 42 is usually a US 11 not a 10. I had pretty much settled on the silver ones, because they were cheaper, but after reading another reviewer praise the aubergine which is a deep dark purple, not in your face notice me PURPLE, I went for them instead and glad I did. Great boot, great fit, great service. Also I have a wide foot and with wool socks on even though my foot does fill the width of the boot, it doesn't pinch at all because the rubber is very soft & flexible.

These boots are great. I just received my boots! They fit perfectly, I chose size 8 (39 EUR) as most of the time. I was afraid they would be too big, but not at all. They fit just right! I am usually a 38.5~39. 39 gives a little room, just right with some socks on rainy days. GREAT service ZAPPOS! Thank you. And SUPER cool boots!

These shoes were great. They ripped in about an hour but the toe cap held up for a long time. The comfort is excellent and it’s a bulky yet thin shoe. Great Shoe.

Just received this dress and it is beautiful beyond description. It is extremely well made with great attention to detail. Very flattering and feminine. Great price, too. Can't wait to wear it in Vegas!

Value, quality & kinda chic! Great boots! Michigan's winter has been cold and snowy, but these boots made it bearable. Thought I might need to purchase the "winter inserts"- but did just fine without. No more salt stains on my jeans.

At first I ordered a size down and they just barely fit my calves, I exchanged for my regular size and the calves fit better, and I didn't feel like the boot was too big either. Happy it worked out b/c these are adorable.

Great Wellies and beyond brilliant service from Zappos - I ordered these last night (Sunday) and they arrived this morning!!! I LOVE ZAPPOS for being prompt with my order. The fit is great if you have nice cushy socks on, but when worn alone, it is a little big. The shaft length is great and keeps all lower leg up to the knee, nice and dry. The shaft circumference is very snug, but my calves are an enormous 16.5". I found that it was majorly difficult to get the boots off because of my foot’s high arch. But they look amazing for rainboots. I LOVE THEM AND I LOVE ZAPPOS!!

As Advertised - I would like to thank everyone who had purchased the Hunter boot and wrote a review, you were absolutely correct regarding the fit. I am usually a 7.5 and ordered a 7 which fit with plenty of room and they are designed for a slimmer calf. There is not a lot of arch support so insoles both for comfort and warmth make a big difference. I must say I find them comfortable for walking and they look great too!

Navy Blue Hunter Original - I love these boots! Now rainy days are something to get excited about! The boots are pretty slim cut, so only my skinny jeans fit well tucked in. I got a 7 and I usually wear an 8. They are a perfect fit. If you want to be able to wear baggier pants with them, you should probably get your original size.

Great Boot - This boot is a wardrobe staple. It is very comfortable and is not bulky which makes it easy to walk in.

Best wellie to buy! I originally ordered this boot from another company & got a size smaller than I wear (I wear 8, i got 7-womens) because so many people have commented on them running too LARGE. Well it WAS too small to be comfortable and so I sent them back- had to pay the shipping with insurance!! :( So I decided to get my right size from Zappos! It arrived SO fast & they are perfect. A little large but good room to put insoles in (which they need- no arch support). Because they are rubber, they ARE cold in the snow but I wear warm socks. The traction is unbelievable & I’m very confident walking on ice & snow! Never thought I would be excited for the rainy season though! They also seem like I will have them for a lifetime which is wonderful! They ARE narrow, but I have slim feet. so amazing!!

Rain and snow - I got the hunter originals in navy. I am usually a 7 1/2 or an 8, and the sevens fit well with maybe a little room. I am 5'5" and they come up just under my knees. I have pretty thin calves and these are tight with my bootcut jeans. If you fold them and put your leg in slowly, they don't bunch. Skinny jeans fit best. At least the tightness keeps your leg in. Overall, really cute and good for rain and snow.
