LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE! Very comfortable, but they are a bit tight on the calfs, and mine are normal sized. If you are any larger than that, definitely go for the Hunteress style. They do run quite large, I am usually a size 9-9.5, and I ordered a size 8 and they fit just fine. My only complaint would be that they don't have half-sizes. Other than that, they're the perfect rain/snow boot!

I love these boots. They are pretty stylish despit being a rain boot. I wear them constantly to do field work and trudge around in the mud a lot. They're pretty comfy!

My daughter-in-law has a pair, I had to get them myself. I garden in a boggy area and needed tall and waterproof boots. When I buy a product I buy what will last me a lifetime. I love them so much I wash the muck off every time to keep them looking like new. Now I'd love an everyday pair. I was told that they run on the bigger side. I'm usually a 9 1/2 so I bought a 9. They feel great!

I really like these, I bought them in the cafe latte color and they are a nice versatile tan that will go with anything. I am 5'3" and these fit my calves perfectly. I normally wear an 8 so that's what I ordered in these and they fit great.

These boots rock! Chances are you are going to go a size down. They run big and do not come in half sizes.

These are my go to for NYC mucky days! I am pleased with my purchase. I think I may go in for another pair. They are comfortable on my feet. I am on my feet all day, and I do not change out of them. Thanks Zappos.

The color was lighter than expected - it's a light tan with a lot of yellow undertones. Almost more gold than brown. Still very pretty, but not what I was looking for. I also had to size up from a 9 to a 10. I usually wear a 9.5. I exchanged them for the Green color in the next size up and couldn't be happier! These are awesome boots and I'm definitely going to collect some more colors.

These are fabulous. I borrowed my son's boots when he visited and it occurred to me that I could buy some for myself! Beautifully made, will last for ever and slip on to trod through the garden, mud, snow and rain. Treat yourself-a lifetime purchase.

This is an excellent rain and gardening boot! They are comfortable enough to wear all day. I also love the Hunter liners that you can purchase in addition to the boots (they really help to keep your feet warn in the winter). I have this boot in several colors and will purchase it again and again!

Love these! They fit perfectly - I did not find them to be tight in the calf, but did note that if I were any shorter the boot would have been too tall for me (I'm 5'5).

I ordered this originally in the huntress style in usual size 8 boot. Typically I'm always a 7.5 in heels and sandals and an 8 in boots and tennis shoes because I like a little extra room. Well the 8s in those were huge. But they didn't have a 7 in my size. I was worried the originals would be too tight on the calf even though I'm 5'8 and 134 lbs with not much muscle to speak of! Despite that I decided to try them on in a local store before ordering from Zappos. And what do you know, in the originals my normal 8 is perfect size! Not too tight in the calves either. There's still room also for the welly socks. I got a large in those because I wanted them not to fit like a sock exactly but be loose. Anyway I ordered these from Zappos at 6pm on a Wednesday and by 1pm Thursday they were already at my door! I'd say size down in the Huntress, get your normal size in the hunter. That way you can tuck in the welly socks too. I have a really high arch and have no problem getting them on or off. The cafe latte is like a caramel. Not as fun as some of the others but it will be more versatile and go with almost anything!

These are my second pair of Hunter's. I love them. My last pair lasted about 6 years before I had almost completely worn through the heel. I am looking forward to getting as much use out of this new pair! The only downside I would say is that these boots are really hot, not at all breathable so great for colder months but not so good for summer which is too bad with all the rain we've been having recently!

Love them! Bought these for a river trip and put them to the test. Four days in and out of the river, walking through mud, and several rainstorms. My feet were dry and loved the traction. Will love wearing them around town too!

Knee high boots, great for working in the garden or walking around in muddy areas. The color is chic and a nice change from the usual hunter green. High quality construction.

These were a lifesaver for Jazzfest NOLA. They were very comfortable right out of the box. I wore them all weekend with no discomfort. My feet are on the narrow side, although I don't wear narrow sizes, and downsizing worked for me. I normally wear an 8 1/2 in most shoes, occasionally a 9 (in tennis shoes), and the size 8 Hunter fit great. My heel did not pop up when I walked.

So glad I made the investment! I couldn't take one more kids sporting event with soaked shoes and pants. I absolutely love these boots, not only for their stylish simplicity but they are super comfortable and easy to clean. They do take a couple of wears to get use to and form to your feet and I would recommend buying a cute pair of liners to make slipping your foot in and out a little easier. You have to try these!

Boot feels a half-size or so large, which is perfect for a rainboot--now I can wear thicker socks in the winter. I will say the shaft height would not be good for shorter people, since it comes up right about to my knee at 5'9". The rubber is thick and sturdy. Definitely worth the somewhat exorbitant cost.

I absolutely love these rain boots. I couldn't be happier. They are very roomy in size, well made and just so much fun!

Hunter boots have served me in the garden and in the paddock, in the mud and in the long walks to the horse meadows. Truly a tough boot with an elegant shape. I'm on my fifth pair.

These are awesome. I have been searching for rain/snow boots. These are cute, comfy, and versatile. I recommend a half size down. I could see that I'd you have large calves that putting your leg in these with jeans may be a challenge. I'm a runner and I have decent size calves. Wearing these with jeans isn't a problem for me. I like the tall version even though I'm only 5ft 2". It doesn't bother me at the knee and looks better than the short boots. Overall, I'm a happy camper with these.

Beautiful, sturdy boots! They are not just rain boots, but extremely comfortable for walking in, doing yard work, walking in the snow, etc. I usually wear 8.5/9 in shoes. Knowing I would be wearing thick socks with them, I purchased the 9. The 9's were too big (even with thick socks), returned, and purchased the 8's which fit perfectly. These boots are expensive but I have never ever regretted buying them or feeling guilty about spending that much money for them. Worth every penny, timeless style!

I purchased these for my daughter as a birthday gift. Originally purchased the navy but she preferred the brown. Returned original purchase with no problem and got her the pair she wanted. She loves these boots- very comfortable, true to size and versatile. Zappos is the best company I have ever ordered from. Their customer service is by far the best. I always feel comfortable with any purchase from Zappos.

These boots are simply amazing! I definitely recommend buying them. This color is great and goes with everything I wear! The price is higher than normal rain boots, but it's worth every penny. The Hunter brand has never disappointed me, and these are my favorite pair! Just a suggestion, if you get scratches on them it will come right off if you rub the spot with a damp paper towel. Love these! Without thick socks, they are a little loose in the foot area, but not in an uncomfortable way. I was torn between buying the more classic ones (these) and the ones with wider calves made especially for women. These are a little snug when I tuck skinny jeans into them, but I think if I had bought the wider-calf ones, they would have been too loose. I have average to small calves, so if your legs are more muscular, the ones made especially for women might be a better choice. I've worn these in rain and snow and they do their job perfectly! Hope to have these for years to come.

Stylish practical boots. I usually wear size 6.5 or 7 (if the shoe is narrow) and the US 6F was a good fit. I am 5'6 and the boot hits about 1.5 inches below my knee. With 14 inch calves I'm able to wear leggings or skinny jeans without a struggle. Hope these details help with your boot selection.
