Hunter boots are quality. I ordered the men's boot because it has a slightly taller and wider shaft. I have long legs.

Great boots for either real mucking work or fashion statement. Comfortable from the get go, with either socks for warmth or barefoot for warm weather outdoor work.

Absolutely love my talls in merlot, but I am short and they are right at my knee. Since I don't wear them every day it's okay but would be annoying if I wore them every day.

Wish I would have known about the blooming effect prior to spending this much for rain boots. After wearing them once, the boots have this disgusting film which does not wipe off with a damp cloth.

Wish I had bought a pair of these years ago, especially when I lived in the Pacific Northwest. Comfortable, handsome, waterproof boots. Worth the money. Get the real thing, not the knock-offs.

The sizing of this product could definitely be improved. The calf size is quite narrow, and there is no wider-calf model.

Not exactly stylish, or comfortable in the least. Might take a few weeks to break in but after a day I found that I wouldn't be able to wait that long. The rubber is not flexible to the shape of your foot so unless your foot matches the sole shape, you're in for some aching feet.

These are nice boots, however, if you are a cyclist or anything else that develops calf muscles, you will not be comfortable in these boots. Do not even think about tucking a pant leg in. I can just barely get my leg in. Sadly, I had to return them.

Very effective when breeding sheep. Extra tall legs keeps them locked in. Have not had one get away this year. Awesome.

These boots are high quality but they run a little narrow. My feet are a little wide and if I walk on hard surfaces for any length of time my feet get sore from the boot being narrow. However, the durability, function and look of the boots are fantastic. The rubber on mine has taken quite a beating over the past 3 years and they look almost like new. The tread is starting to wear but I expect that I have many more years before it wears down to no tread. I find that many reviewers on this site have very little concept of what actual support is in a shoe. These have very little. They sole is very floppy and the boot provides no arch support. This is easily fixed with a pair of super feet. I have a size 11 and usually wear a 10.5 in most shoes (11 in running shoes). If you have wide feet, you might want to find another boot; otherwise these are a great investment.

I wear a US men's 10.5 and ordered the boots in a size 10 due to all the reviews that say they tend to run big. I found the opposite to be true, and have returned the boots in favor of 11s instead. I also found the calves of the boots to be much more snug than I expected, though still comfortable enough.

I wrote a review on 6/2/08 and am finally getting around to update that review. Sorry to report that these boots lasted only 2 seasons before the heels were so worn down that they showed a hollow heel One boot also developed a leak. I was really disappointed that they did not last longer. As for my Ariats (tall rubber boots), they are still in great shape and are over 14 years old! How I wish they would make them for men.

Wow, Zappos is like the Shoe Fairy or something! I ordered these boots and 24 hours later they were on my feet. I love them! They fit perfectly if you order a size down, which makes them a bit snug with the wellie socks on but they'll be that much warmer in winter.

After my buying and raving about wearing these boots, he agreed to my buying him this pair. And guess what! He wears them out in the lower 40 and all over, rain or shine.

Very interesting boot. It is basically a rubber boot that keeps its shape, i.e. does not articulate well, but rather folds on itself at the joints. It isn't exactly comfortable but it absolutely gets the job done. Great rain and snow boot (as long as you keep warm with the Hunter boot inserts). The style is also very classic.

I love these boots. The build quality is wonderful. They do bloom or turn white after wearing them in rain. I've been using Armoral to bring back the luster and color.

Great rain boots. I walked several miles on the first outing in them and no break-in period required. They're not as heavy as some other boots for which my feet are thankful.

I normally wear a size 12, but the size 11 fits comfortably. They are stylish and go well with skinny jeans. I wear them when the weather is wet and cold. A very good purchase.

The calf fit was too snug. I have to return it. The shoe fit was too loose.

Ordered these really late, but they still got here in time for Christmas. (Thank you, Zappos!) My brother loved them...went out and splashed in a puddle like a five-year old. I ordered them according to the half-size-larger recommendation, and it worked. I really don't know what the arch support is like, as I neglected to ask, but he's very happy with them.

Love these shoes. If you are in between sizes order a size down. Overall, great shoe and very fashion forward.

These are well made and very comfortable. They're pricey but worth it. And it's a nice looking boot.

I have owned my Hunter boots for a couple of years and the strap just broke off right below the buckle - it looks like the rubber rotted. I contacted Hunter and requested where I might go to have them repaired and they were not able to assist. I am going to take them to a cobbler, but I doubt they can help. I could have purchased similar boots from Target for much less money, and wouldn't be so upset if they were to fall apart after 30-40 wears. Or, LL Bean, who also charges a bit more, but stand behind their products with a liftetime guarantee. I love the style, but will not purchase another pair of Hunter boots.
