Love this boot!!! I love this boot. Not only is this boot beautiful, but it is comfortable, too. I usually have a hard time finding tall boots to go over my muscular calves, but these fit and look super cute!

Love this Boot - I live in South Florida, so I may get one or two months use out of these boots, starting in about December. I cannot wait for the chance to wear them, because they look great on. They also feel super comfortable. My husband says they are very sexy.

Sofft Tyla - great boot - I'm not a high heel person, but this boot was just right. Looks dressy, but is comfortable for a high heel boot. Sexy fit around my calves, and not tight in the toe or heel. The heel didn't wobble when I walked. Size was just right. I normally don't like zip up boots, but these went on very easily and came off very easily. No tugging or pulling.

Perfect boots after a long search - Thank you Zappos! Your return process made it possible for me to finally find, after several tries, an extremely comfortable and beautifully made boot. The Tyla by Sofft is heavenly. The others squished my toes (thanks to the pointed toes which are ridiculous since a foot does not come to a point and we really do not need footwear that will do as a weapon in a pinch). I'm wearing my boots at this minute and they feel like soft slippers!

Beautiful Boots - I was a little iffy on the lacing up the back because I am extremely picky, but it’s just the right touch for the boot. They were comfortable as soon as I put them on and they look great! Cannot wait for the brown to be available!

Great boot! I just received this fabulous boot. I decided that this year I would start early to find a good black boot and this was the first one I ordered. I was a bit hesitant, since I have not had much luck with Sofft shoes, but with Zappos great service you can't go wrong, so I decided to try it. It is a lot better looking than pictured. It is simple, sleek, and elegant, and the bit of lacing and bow in the back make it special without it being too much in your face. I will wear this with a lot of things. The heel height is perfect for me, but I am used to wearing heels. This one feels very comfortable. I usually order boots in size 10 to give me a bit more room, and found that this one fits perfectly in the size 10 ordered. Quite a short search this year, but well, I can look for a brown one now... Width should be fine for a lot of people. I don't have very wide calves and usually have no problems with boots, but even someone with a bit heavier calves than mine should do okay. For me, again, they are completely perfect! And Zappos is great as always.

Comfy for first-timer with 3-inch heels - I generally avoid high heels but these boots were comfortable and supportive. Dug the lace-up calf backing, classy touch. I always get compliments when I wear them, but that might be due to the fact that it's out of the ordinary for co-workers to see me in heels! I wear an 8 or 8.5, and the 8.5 worked great as I can wear thicker socks (padded socks help avoid developing 'raw' spots on the balls of my feet). After walking all day in Chicago, my heels did hurt, but adding some heel inserts did the trick.

Comfortable except for the toes - I don't regret buying these boots, but I don't find them quite as comfortable as some of the other reviewers do. I've had to "enhance" them to make them more comfortable--Dr. Scholl's inserts for more arch support and Dr. Scholl's gel pads for the ball of my foot. I also have to put bandages on my big toes when I wear them to keep the boots from irritating my toes. Having done all that, I find I can wear them for several hours. They are the most comfortable high-heeled boot I've found in ages, but I have a difficult-to-fit foot, so nothing except a sneaker is ever really comfortable enough. I have a high arch, a short foot, and really wide toes, which makes finding the perfect fit in a dress shoe hard. I also walk a lot, covering several miles in a day, so my feet definitely hurt by the end of the day when I've worn these boots. The boots look great, though. I wish the toe box had more room--that would make these boots perfect. I still give them 4 stars; I just wouldn't say that they are as comfortable as sneakers, but then, they ARE high-heeled boots, so it might be difficult to be as comfortable as a pair of sneakers!

Great with alterations - I bought these on a clearance rack and found that they fit me better than the same size in other Sofft styles which seem to run a little small for me - perhaps it was cut bigger to accommodate a sock. Anyway, I found the calf a bit tight as well, so I took them to a good shoe repair shop and had an elastic gusset put in. Now they ARE perfect!

I love these boots and agree with the other reviews about how wonderful they are, but had to return them as the calf was not wide enough for my 16" calves. I found the same boots in wide calf at a department store and they fit great. I don't know if this will be allowed but thought I'd let you wide-calved woman know that they are available in wide-calf, but just not here.

Stylish and comfortable - For the longest time I was looking for the "perfect" black pair of boots and now I have found them. The shaft length is just right, the leather is very soft, the stitching on the back is a beautiful detail, but most of all they are very, very comfortable. I've worn them all day running around NY and have gotten many compliments. My only criticism is that the ankle is a little large, so I have to wear a thick sock.

This is a sexy boot that reaches up to a couple inches below the knee (I'm 5'10) and is loose enough in the calf for me to tuck my skinny jeans into. Fairly comfortable considering the heel height -- I'm a college student, and I can walk across campus in these without too much pain. Also, they keep my feet warm and dry.

Lovely wearable boot - Love this boot. It is somewhat less sexy than others, but infinitely more comfortable and very classy. Highly recommended!

Really Comfortable - I have an extremely wide foot but a thinner calf. This boot fit both, it was a definite keeper from the moment I put it on. It is true to wide width. The only change I would make would be to make the calf slightly smaller the arch support better, but it's not bad. Worth every penny.

I love these boots, but... I've been looking for that perfect pair of boots for YEARS and when I received these yesterday I thought I finally found them. I love everything about these: leather feels great, lining is soft which makes it so great to wear, boots are COMFORTABLE (and I can't wear most shoes without foot ache) and just looks great. Great quality compared to most boots that are on the market. But they're too big around my skinny calves! I'm so in love with these boots that if there was ANY way I can keep them I would, but with so much room around my calves I'm not sure that I can. I'm even considering going to a cobbler to see if there's any way they can fix it.

Great boot...if you’re tall enough. Ordered this boot and it was very comfortable. Very nice leather and nice color. Problem I encountered was that I am 5'1" and the shaft came up too high. When I walked or sat down, the back of it hit right behind my knees. I had to return them. =o (Wish Sofft made the same boot in a shorter length.

Beautiful boot, but larger around the calf. If you are a lady with womanly calves, these boots are amazing. Too bad for me, I have skinny legs. I love them, but they are very loose on the calve. My legs aren't even abnormally small or anything, I would say average. So keep that in mind. They are adorable and very comfortable though and felt true to size!

Gorgeous boots, but ankle too loose - I loved these boots, and wanted to keep them so badly, but the ankle area was just too loose and unflattering. I initially purchased the black maestro, so I am going to try the black suede to see if the suede material fits any more snugly...

Cute & very well made, but a little pinchy on the toes - I have 2 other pairs of Sofft shoes and definitely am happy with the quality and look of them. I knew by the pictures that these had a pointier toe than my other shoes, and they will hopefully break in a little more over time, as they are a little uncomfortable to stand in for a long time (my little toe is a little crunched). Overall though, they are very cute and well worth the money.

Very flattering boot - I really like this boot. I have a wider calf (16 inch) and these boots zip all the way up! My 23 year old daughter was hoping that they wouldn't... she wanted to take them off my hands! She thought they were "HOT". The heel is a good height and attractively stacked. It wears very comfortably. The leather is nice quality also. I'm pleased with the purchase... I think I'd like it in suede, too!

Beautiful shoes but too wide at the ankle - Beautiful shoe, soft leather, extremely comfortable but unfortunately too wide around the ankles - they looked baggy and had to go back for this very reason. Too bad, I am sure I would have loved the comfort.

Not for petite legs - Absolutely gorgeous. Both the suede and the calfskin feel like butter. Very comfortable and well constructed. Unfortunately, the circumference was a little too wide for my legs. They'd be great to wear over jeans or under wide-leg pants, but there was too much extra space to be able to wear them under straight leg jeans or with skirts.

Excellent quality boots - These boots are made with a very high-quality, luscious leather, with very nice lining. They are very comfortable, too. Slightly roomier than other boots I tried. I felt they looked a bit thick at the ankle - they would be more flattering if the ankle was more narrow.

WIDE shaft - This is a great-looking and comfortable boot. I saw that some reviewers thought the shaft was too wide, but I tried them anyway because I don't have skinny legs. Well, they're REALLY wide. The rest of the fit was perfect for me, but I wouldn't recommend these boots unless you have extremely athletic/large calves or you want to take them to a shoe repair shop to have them taken in.

Definitely Comfortable - I really like the comfort of this shoe and the braided seam down the back is a nice touch but the rounded toe is more "traditional" than I am looking for right now so I will be returning them. If I was going only for comfort, these would be keepers!
