Time for Dansko to introduce 1/2 sizes - As a Dansko customer for over 20 years, I'm pleased to see their expansion into a broader range of styles. However, along with this, their adherence to whole sizes only has become problematic. To wit, I'm a 7.5B, and the Dansko 38 has usually been just right for me. This shoe felt a full size larger, even with thick socks, and so I had to return and order the 37. The 37 is tolerably comfortable, although my big toes come right to the front of the shoe...so, thin socks only. The style is so unique, I craved them the minute I saw them in Body + Soul magazine. When in doubt about size (or anything else), Zappos, is the only surefire source for me, and I was thrilled that they did the even exchange for me same day. Now if only Dansko could take a few hints from Zappos and size their shoes with their customers needs in mind!

Sad to return these shoes - These shoes are so good looking - a dressier alternative to the standard clog. I generally LOVE Danskos, but was sad to have to return these. Although size 5.5 should be a 36, the 36 were way too big. Unfortunately they're not made any smaller.

These shoes are adorable, but they are a bit stiff and not as comfortable as the Madigan or Merideth. They are beautiful though, the pattern makes it worth the little discomfort! I am hoping they will soften up a bit with some more wear. I usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9 and I ordered a 39 and they fit pretty good. Any bigger would have slipped a lot in the back, and smaller would have been way too tight.

I really like this shoe overall. The heel slips a bit when I walk though. Otherwise, a comfortable, good-looking shoe.

Very cute, but not as comfy as some Danskos - These shoes are very cute. I ordered them in the black and thought the design was very nice. However, they were not as comfortable as I hoped for. I was hoping they would fit like the Meredith style, which they do not - they are lacking the wonderful support and "spring" of the Meredith, so I would recommend that style before this one. However, I think this is a 4 out of 5 - comfortable enough, but there are better options.

These are by far the most comfortable shoes EVER. I only buy DCs now, as they are high quality for a great price, and great looking to boot! The Chelsea model has a wider toe width, which is great for my big feet. I went up a half size, and I would recommend the same to anyone else buying them.

First time disappointed by Dansko - I've had this shoe about 4 months and it still is uncomfortable to wear. All my other Danskos were incredibly comfortable as soon as I put them on. The black top is also off color, people ask me if it's purple. I would not recommend this shoe.

NOT COMFORTABLE WITH SHOE, COLOR, PATTERN - I got this show in black. The floral pattern on the toe must have a different finish as it appears slightly brown in most lights. Perhaps in brown it's not as obvious, but it makes it appear very informal to have a half brown/half black shoe. Also found that the heel pinched slightly. Overall seemed very stiff and uncomfortable to wear - I had to return them.

Not for a high in- step - I was so disappointed that the Mandolin did not fit me. It is a very attractive shoe-- but not made for a high in-step. Had to return these shoes- not a problem with Zappos easy return policy.

Zip too big but comfy - My feet are 5.5, but size 36 is still too big on them. Too bad. Otherwise it's very comfortable in width and height (cuz of the platform). I like the overall height too since I'm short.

Dansko's Black Mandolin - After returning the 1st pair, getting the next size up, & getting black because it was the only color available (I was very disappointed). I still had to take them to be stretched & they're still too tight. The leather seems to be extremely stiff. I'm not real happy with them.

I am very disappointed with this shoe. I've had 3 other pair of Danskos, but this doesn't have near the support I expected.

Mandolin - It looked so good I bought it in three colors. Foolish me. It is extremely heavy, like wearing ten-pound weights on each foot. And the leather is rather stiff, so it rubs around the edge where it meets your ankles. Good arch support, but that's all I can say for this one.

Boxy and uncomfortable - I own over 9 pairs of Dansko shoes. These are not what I expected. They are uncomfortable and scratch the back of my heel. Also, these shoes are far from dainty. They look huge and feel boxy. Not cute shoes at all.

These shoes are beautiful...even better than pictured. Very good quality & well made. The only thing that seemed a little off was the size. They seem to run almost a full size larger than I expected.
