Beautiful shoe but too tight - I love the look of this shoe, but it was way too tight across the top of my foot. As soon as I put them on my feet began to hurt. The leather is quite stiff so I did not think it would stretch or soften enough to become comfortable. I wish they had just a little more room or were made from softer leather - I would have definitely kept them because they were otherwise comfortable and supportive.

Dansko= comfort - I like these shoes. They are on the bulky side, so I feel like some days I have boots on. They are really comfy, but took a while to break in...there was some rubbing. I look for comfort only at work, so they are perfect for me. The top design is nice, subtle and well done. Danskos last a long time. Enjoy.

Great shoe - I love Dansko shoes for work! I am on my feet for 8-10 hrs a day and they are very comfortable. They do take some time to break in. They rub the backs and sides of my feet, but within a week, very comfortable. This is my 3rd pair of Dansko and I would definitely purchase again.

Dansko Mandolin - These are super cute shoes. They gave me some monster blisters but socks have prevented this from recurring. I know good shoes take some breaking in and I would totally buy them again. I'm in love.

Comfort shoes - Danskos are very good for my bunions. My feet are narrow and these tend to slip off my heel which is expected with Danskos. However, it will take more time to wear them to a smooth feel when sliding off my heel. Now the leather is a bit tough.

Really Cute...but not that comfortable... These shoes are really cute, and that is the only reason that I kept them. The fact that the shoe rocks as you walk had my heels coming up out of the back of the shoe and I got painful blisters on both heels. Also, I think there needs to be more padding in the front of the shoe for the balls of the feet. It seems like the curve of the shoe puts all of your weight at the front of the shoe as you walk. I am on my feet all day at work and my feet are very sore before my day is even over! So, I guess I am one of those people who suffer for cute shoes...

Love the look - footbed is very comfy - the only challenge is the loose heel. I read the reviews - this is consistent for this shoe. But I love them anyway. Wore them all over in San Fran walking and they are so incredibly comfortable, it's crazy. I now have 2 pair of Danskos and I'll order more. But I think the sole will last forever!

A little snug, but so cute! I love these shoes in the way they look. They are so cute and look great really with almost any outfit. I have tried them on with casual jeans, nice slacks and even casual skirts and they look great with all. They are definitely a shoe you can wear with a lot in your wardrobe. But, they run about a 1/2 size small, and they are pretty tight at first. I have a wide foot with a high arch and the first few times, I could barely get my foot in. But as with any shoe they stretched out and now they work great. I would recommend these shoes, but you have to break them in first.

Dansko Mandolin - I own three different styles of Danskos and all fit differently so I ordered both a 38 and 39 as I normally wear a 7.5. I ended up with the 39. At first the top of the shoe was tight across the top of my left foot even when wearing a trouser sock. The point of contact felt like a pin prick but I discovered that it was tight across a nerve and was relieved the minute I took off the shoe. A band aid place between contact points helped. They have since stretched out and do not cause this feeling any longer. I bought these shoes for a 6-day working event where I would be on my feet for 14 plus hours daily. This shoe alone did not provide enough comfort for this event but I wonder if there is anything that can protect and cushion your foot for this duration. I do like this shoe and have worn them with dress pants when I know I'll be on my feet for a long period of time. They are a bit clunky looking but I love the shock absorbing sole. This style of Danskos could be better by adding the side elastic as found in other similar styles as well as extending the length of the top of the shoe so that more of one's foot can be inserted into the shoe avoiding the pin prick feeling. I also like that the insert is removable and can be replace with Dr. Scholl's inserts if needed.

Susan. in Washington State. I love this Dansko!! I am on my feet all day and these work great for me. They fit a little tighter on the tops of my feet, but I'm sure with a little more break-in time they will be perfect. I get lots of compliments on the looks any style. I bought the Brown Veg-Tan. These Danskos dress up my dress pants and class up my jeans.

Dansko Mandolin - I bought two pairs: a black pair and a brown pair and I really like these shoes. They are very comfortable. I was concerned about the width at first since they are looser than I am used to. I wasn't sure at first if I could handle the movement in the heel, it’s fine now and my feet feel much better at the end of the day. My only issue is that my 2nd toe on the right shoe rubs on the toe box on both pairs which is strange since it doesn't happen on the left shoe. My feet appear to be the same size, perhaps one foot is larger than the other? It’s getting better the more I wear them and I expect them to stretch out eventually and I won't notice it.

Cute and classy black shoe - This is the perfect shoe for so many of my pants that I overlook the fact that I'm right in between Dansko sizes. Not quite a 39, not quite a 40, so they are a bit long, but they're cute enough to make up for it.

Great shoe! I needed a standard black loafer for work and loved that these had the cute flower design on the toe - kinda unique. I wear a size 11 but have very narrow feet, which can be a tough combination, so it was no surprise to me that these shoes were a bit wide. I tried them as is for a few days, but they weren't as comfy as they could be. But I bought a Dr. Scholl's gel insole to help that problem and now they are perfect. So, just know that if you have narrow feet you might not like these as much, but if your feet are moderately wide, you should be fine. And, they are still more comfortable than most other shoes I've found.

Cut and Elegant - I am a Dansko loyal fan. I have been wearing one for over 2 years and it is still doing fine! Mandolin is cute and elegant. I wish it came in medium width. One issue was that the shoe I received was already worn outside by previous buyer, and had slightly worn soles. I think Zappos must have a thorough quality check before shipping their products. The surprise is unpleasant:( But Zappos is good in helping the customer when an issue rises:)

Awesome shoes for professionals - I really love these shoes. I had looked for months for loafers that were comfortable and had great arch support. After trying on numerous pairs of shoes, I decided to purchase these. They do take a few days to break in, but now, they are so comfortable, I wear them around the house. They have quite a high platform, so I probably have to take some of my pant hems out to accommodate. They are cute, not the most fashionable shoes out there, but good enough for the office with trousers, even jeans and khakis! Great for those who want the Dansko support without the Dansko clog look!

Mandolin - I love my Mandolins. I have a narrow foot and the in between size. I wish Dansko would make half sizes!! I put an insole in them and absolutely love them, they are very comfy and look great!! I have gotten many compliments on them. Since I am a half size I order the next size up and add the insole and they work great. I love that Dansko is coming out with new styles.

Thyme Mandolin - This is a cute shoe, but a little wide. I usually wear an 8 or 8 1/2 and my foot is pretty narrow. I tried on the 38 in a store, which was uncomfortably too small, but they didn't have the 39 to try. When the 39 came in the mail, I was a little disappointed to find it almost too big, especially since my other Dansko size 39 shoes, clogs, and sandals fit just fine. These are sloppy without thick socks. The length is good but the width is too roomy. However, the green color is great and the design is quite pretty. Since they are more of a fall and winter look, the thicker socks shouldn't be a problem.

Really cute with jeans - I love the foil tops, but the heel is really clunky. Not the most comfortable Dansko, but not too bad, and a heck of a lot better than many other brands.

Th shoes are very comfortable and did not need to be broken in. The only drawback is Dansko does not make half sizes, so you might have to order one size up.

Dressy Dansko - Nice looking Dansko. The top is a little tighter fitting than other Danskos but still comfy.

Have to break them in - I ordered size 39 which is what I usually wear in Danskos. They were way too long. So I re-ordered a 38 and find that they are a little snug length and width wise and have made marks on my heels from rubbing - but after I wear them I insert shoe trees to stretch them out a bit and they seem to be better. I haven't had a break in period with other Danskos but it could be the size issue. I wish they would offer half sizes.

Unique design; lovely color - I really love the design of these shoes and the color is green with touches of bronze that goes with many shades. I'm disappointed with the fit -- too sloppy, but I've worn them hoping I'll get used to it, and now would feel bad trying to exchange for something smaller.

Unique design - I am a loyal Dansko wearer, but I was somewhat disappointed in these shoes. I do like how the pattern on the shoe is unique but they did not fit as well as my previous Meredith shoes. My left heel was bleeding because the shoe rubbed against the back of my heel all day. My other Dansko shoes were comfortable from day 1! I wish Zappos still had black Meredith!

Cute shoe, not as comfortable as most Danskos - This is such a cute shoe and I get lots of compliments when I wear them. I do have moderately wide feet, but all my other Danskos fit comfortably...however these shoes are somewhat painful over the widest part of my foot after a long shift at work. I do think they will eventually stretch and become comfortable, though.

Dansko Mandolin - The shoe rubbed the top of my foot for the first week of wear. This is my fourth pair of Dansko's and I've never had a pair do that. They feel great now however and look great.
