I read other negative reviews and wonder if we are talking about the same boot! The fur was perfect. I actually ordered up a size after reading the other reviews about how small they were and now they are too big. The are wide ( it’s a snow boot!) but comfortable for my wide foot. I wore them anyway for 3 Days in a row (winter weather hit the day they were delivered) and still love them. I wear a thick sock and still have extra room. So I say true to size or only up size a half size if u like thick socks. I wear 10 in ASICS and 9 in chacos. I ordered these in 10 and they are too big.

I have been eyeing these boots for some time, so when I received them and tried them on, I really wanted to love them. However, they were hard to get on and so bulky/heavy when they were on that I finally decided I probably wouldn’t wear them very often. Very stylish, but not very comfortable.

I really splurged to get a pair of these in about 1973 to use for deer hunting. Since then I've used them every year for this, and also to get to and from work and for doing other running around during times of heavy snows. So I don't use them until conditions really call for them, which is probably one reason why they've lasted this long. I have finally worn out the original liners now, and am ordering a new set, but other than that, the only fail is that the pull loop on the back of one of the boots has broken. Even with the thick liner, I do usually use the chemical toe warmers on really cold days when sitting on a deer stand for hours, and that's fine. One smart thing I did do originally was to deliberately buy one size larger than I need so that I can wear an extra set of heavy wool socks with the boots, and still have some wiggle room for my toes. Also, I purchased them in a local boot store, and was able to try them on before I bought them.

I was excited to get these boots for an upcoming trip to Iceland. However when they arrived, I couldn't even get my foot into them. The fur on top shed all over the place. I sent them back immediately and ordered something else.

I have had these boots for a few years but have only worn them a few times. The back spine of the boot rubs your heel SO badly. There is not an amount of socks that you can wear to stop this from happening. It is worse on one side so possible a defect but regardless a $200 pair of boots that I cannot wear.

I’ve owned Joan of Arctic for 2 years. Although at first they were a little stiff they really softened up and are super easy to walk in and keep your feet very dry and warm! I felt the style was true to size. I love all the different colors and extra laces to mix and match. These are definitely a winner in my book.

What can I say? My Caribou boots are 35 yrs plus old. I started wearing these boots somewhere between 8-10 yrs old and now I'm in my mid 40's looking for a new pair. For the first 10 yrs of owning the boots I used mink oil 2-3 times. The craftsmanship is EXCELLENT. After all these years I replaced the liners 3x. The leather that holds the rings for lacing the boots finally gave out after all these years (these are the only things that need repair). In all these years my feet never got wet. WOW!! The only 2 faults I can see in the boot are these 2 things: You need to try the boot on in store before ordering (boot size and feet size were very different). The second fault is warmth. The wool liners did not keep my feet warm in Minnesota winters (depending on activities or temp I always used a warmer and shoved it down into my boot). The only real issue was the warmth. If you know that your going to be outside for an extended period and/or on the ice your going to have to do something to keep your feet warm (several layers of sox and/or a warmer). After all these years I am now looking for another pair. I would like to try one of the pairs like the 1964 or the Pac boots but the Caribou are tried and tested. If anything lasts 30 years you would be dumb not to buy the same thing again. Sorel puts out an excellent product!

I absolutely love these boots. I live in northeast Ohio with cold, wet winters. These are perfect for outdoor activities and for keeping toasty in cold hockey rinks.

These boots are great quality and wonderful for a Chicago winter. They have a very thick inner lining to keep feet warm and the rubber outer sole ensures they are waterproof. Given they are very stiff around the length of the boot part; they are not made to wear for lengthy walks.

Very comfortable and cute. The temps haven't dropped for me to try out the warmth or waterproof features but I am very pleased thus far.

I have now had my pair for just shy of 6 years and they still look like new and have proabably a decade of wear left at this rate at least. They were worth every penny. They are warm, sturdy, reliable and the best pair of boots I've ever owned. They are a bit clunky but they are extremely comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Fully waterproof, perfect for rain, snow, and puddle jumping with my kids. Mud washes off, easily cleanable. Just keep the leather supple and clean, and they last forever. The workhorse of fashionable snow boots. Sorel is right, you really can conquer anything in their shoes.

I really liked these boots but they turned out to be a bit TOO green and heavy for what I was looking for. Certainly can recommend them to anyone looking for that type of snow boot.

I wear sizes 8.5-9, depending on the shoe/boot. This boot, though, was too small (toe to heel) in a 9. The 9.5 is perfect.

Cute boots but they look so wide. My foot had plenty of room- too much. The fur is also really random and not smooth.

Many reviews said these run big so I ordered a 9--I'm usually a 9 or 9.5. I have high arches and I could not get them on with socks. I could barely get them on barefoot and length felt short also.

I live in MN and have multiple snow boots. These are my least favorite. They are cute and all, but they are super heavy and clompy. Hard to get on and off. The laces come loose easily, even with double knots. They are good on the snowmobile and maybe outdoor ice fishing, but quick trips in and out of work or the grocery store- they are too cumbersome to deal with
