The books looked great and were comfortable once they were on. However, they were nearly impossible to get on! I prefer something quick and easy to slip on since I am constantly in and out of the house/office.

I finally decided on the Joan of Arctic boots after a long exhausting search for a pair of winter boots that will truly keep my toes warm but also are at least partly stylish. I also bought the Caribou style from Sorel that claim to keep your feet warm at -40° at the same time. The Joan of Arctic won out because they just looked better on my feet. As a girl that has a size 9.5-10 shoe size I never want to look like I am wearing clown shoes. The Caribou style were not quite at the level of clown shoes but they were definitely much more clunky and more masculine than the Joan of Arctic style. I am hoping my vanity doesn't lead to my toes getting frostbite the Joan of Arctic are only rated for -25°.

The only drawback is that they are so tall you really have to unlace them to get your foot all the way down. Perhaps after breaking in it will be easier. Otherwise I may need a long shoe horn with thicker socks. The style is awesome. I’m actually looking forward to snow!!

I absolutely love these boots (and Zappos!). We got hit with our first winter storm on a Thursday, I ordered these boots when I realized that shoveling snow in my rain boots was a terrible idea, and they were there by Friday! These are probably a little wider than the standard medium; I call them "duck-footed", but that's actually what I was hoping for because I have a neuroma in my left foot, and many shoes are just too tight in the toe box. Other winter boots from Sorel that I ordered to try alongside were narrower, so if you DON'T want a somewhat wider forefoot, I'd try one of their other styles. I have Sorel hiking boots that have a similar ducky shape, and adore them, so I was hoping these would work, and they do. These fit into the "so ugly they're cute" camp, like my French bulldog :) The upper and the fur are very well done, beautiful, and warm while the lower part is spacious and comfortable. I love that the pull tabs on the sides are actually affixed with snaps, so that if I tug too hard, they come open, rather than ripping, which I've done to other boots. I have other friends with these, as well, who have had them for longer (one who just moved from the wild winters of Minnesota), and they also can't say enough good things about them!

I've been eyeing these boots for awhile. They looked so cute in the photos but not so IRL or in a size 10! Based on other reviews, I ordered a full size larger. I normally wear a 9, so I ordered a 10. The length was okay but they were so wide, they looked like clown shoes! And, as others have said, they were incredibly heavy and hard to put on. The search for the perfect winter boot continues...

Very good!! Love the look...tough to get on so i definitely don’t throw them on to run out the door. Love these for a day when i am out and about all day and the weather is yuck.

I've been eyeballing these boots for a couple of years. Tried a few others and finally broke down and bought these. I love them! I was afraid they would look big and clunky (I am size 10), but they look great!

Love these boots! Cute, warm and true to size. I wear an 8.5, got a 9, but do wear normal socks (nothing too bulky bc these boots are warm enough,) so they're a bit roomy, but not too big.

These boots are stylish and very warm for winters in Minnesota. The bottoms also seem textured enough to minimize slipping on ice. I have not tested them on ice though. I typically wear an 8.5 and the 8.5 fit great.

'You look like a woolly mammoth' is what my husband said when he saw these on me. They're bulky, heavy, cumbersome to walk in, and the worst thing is that the furry top literally looks like a prehistoric animal, not in a good way. Sending back without a second thought.

Loved the style of this boot, but I had the hardest time getting the boot on. Once I was able to slide my foot in the boot, it was a comfortable fit. I wear a size 6 and ordered a size 6. I loosed the laces up all the way to the toe area, but couldn't get my small size 6 foot angled into the boot easily. Like others had mentioned, this boot was on the heavy side, but I still would have kept the boot if only my foot slid in the boot easier. Unfortunately, I had to return them.

We finally got these boots for my daughters 18th birthday, after she has been looking at them for 2years now. She loves them. They really are beautiful for snow boots. She has worn them in the snow already, on the ice, and she is very happy with them. Not as clunky as you would think, and waterproof around the bottom so she can walk through puddles and keep Sox dry. Removable liner. Only downside we see so far is the fur is attached to the liner, so if the liner gets smelly and we replace it, she loses the fur. She ordered her actual size and wears with thick socks, with pants tucked in and high sox sticking out, lovely! Would purchase again.
