Warm, warm, warm! Love these. TTS and bonus, can get on with "real" socks not thin socks like I wear with all of my dress shoes. Win!

I have a narrow and "low volume" foot - no problem getting into these. Love the style, haven't worn them out yet in the cold/wet.

I sat on buying a pair of Sorels for about 2 years, worrying about sizing and true-to-fit etc, and I finally purchased a pair of the Joan of Arctics while living out west, and they are hands down the best splurge Ive done on myself!! They are (personally) true to fit, and I usually fluctuate between 8-8.5 depending on the shoe/socks. They can handle just about any heavier weather, and my feet STAY warm. The size 8 in these boots was perfect sizing, and comfortable with both thicker and thinner socks. My ONLY issue, is I wish there were other liners available for this amazing boot, as I absolutely adore and recommend them, but I am not a fan of the fur liner. I'd hate to have to purchase another pair of boots, just for a different style liner.. Hoping one day soon they release more options for things like that!

These boots are so cute and really keep my feet warm. They are true to size so if you plan on wearing thick socks, I’d go up a size.

I wear size 11 in regular shoes and Zappos "recommended" I order 11 but I followed a hunch and ordered a 12 too—good thing! The 11 was almost impossible to pull on, it was so small, and the toe was too short. The 12 fits perfectly and is snug with mid-weight socks on. I'm considering going UP to a 13. I read in a comment in an Amazon review of this boot that snow boots are supposed to be a little big, so there is plenty of room around the foot to hold and trap air. "According to many skiing and outdoor activity websites, winter boots are SUPPOSED to fit loose. In order for feet to stay warm, snow boots should not fit snug like a shoe. So, the felt lining in these should be loose enough for a thick pair of socks and still not be snug. When people order a size down it contributes to their cold feet and complaints of back of boot digging into their heels. Don't expect them to fit like a fashion boot."

I love theses boats. They are a bit snug but that’s what you want for snow boots. Went hiking in the Sierra’s and my feet never got wet! Afterwards went a grab a cup of coffee at Tahoe house! And after hiking for a few house still looked cute with these boots!

I've had these for a couple of years and can never wait to wear them because they are so pretty. The only thing I found extremely disappointing, though, is that I find they have very little traction. So while I love to wear them, I have to be selective. I can wear them on plowed and shoveled streets but not sledding with the kids. I wish I could wear these all winter, but I find myself looking for something a little more surefooted in the snow.

These were kind of uncomfortable. The sole isn't very flexible so it makes a weird sucking sound and feels like walking through water. The top is also a bit inflexible so it digs a little into the top of your foot. The fur lining the top takes up a lot of space and rub together as you walk. If they were half the price I could live with these features, but given the price, I'll be returning them.

I'm waiting on my 3rd order. I trusted a review that said larger than size....WRONG (at least the first 2 pairs I received). Can't wait for the pair I'll finally keep! I love the looks of these boots... even more than the similar Uggs that were way more expensive.
I'd also recommend:

This was my first pair of Sorels, a few years back. With unpredictable Midwest winters, these have been fantastic on days when the snow is piled high, but you still must get out in it. I find them to be clunky and cumbersome for "running around," but my feet are always warm & dry. When walking in them, my gait resembles "walking in ski boots," but glam isn't the goal when the streets, sidewalks & parking lots are a slushy, snowy mess. As is the case with most of my Sorels, I am a solid 10.5 and sized up to an 11 for a perfect fit. (Minus the Tivoli IV, which requires sizing up at least a full size) No regrets about these. I usually pair them with fleece lined leggings and a long top or coat to balance things out.

These boots are both practical and alittle stylish !! They must be nice if my daughter tried to "borrow" them on me !!!! I like that they are tall so the deep snow doesn't get into your boots and we all ha e had and don't like that at all !!! Overall great boots

I have been a long time purchaser either through thrifting or hand-me-downs. This is my first brand new pair and they fit like they were made for me. I tried them on with fluffy socks and immediately walked around my house in comfort and style. The last pair lasted for almost a decade without wear and tear!

I do love the style of these boots, but when it comes to warmth and ease of getting in and out of them I'm not a fan. Unless I'm wearing thick wool socks, my feet easily get cold in these boots. I can almost feel the cold radiating up through the rubber soles. They take some effort to get on and off - maybe a 1/2 size larger would improve this. Or a side zip.

Love these boots! Can’t wait for some more Colorado snow. I usually wear an 8 and ordered an 8. They are slightly roomy but that is what I prefer. I’ll be able to wear warm socks with them.

So, I have these boots in a size 9 from several years ago. They weren't offered in half sizes at the time. I am normally an 8.5. I ordered these in an 8 because the 9s are really too big. The sizing is weird, they aren't too small length-wise, but they are too tight where the tongue meets the boot. I couldn't get my foot in the boot. Now that the half sizes are available, I'll exchange for my normal size, 8.5, and hope they work out. I love my other pair, they're just too large.

I love the look of these boots but I have two issues with them 1) when you take them off the liner always pulls out and it's not easy to get back in. Eventually the snaps that supposedly are there for the purpose of keeping the liner in place will fail and then it's gonna be expensive if not impossible to fix. 2) the sole is not meant for icy conditions, not nearly enough tread for that. Other than that they are nice boots for winter in Idaho.

All I can say is that here I sit in the middle of perfect-weather season (mid-October) and yet I cannot wait for a blustery wind and a hearty snowfall, just so I can strut around town in these beautiful, snuggly boots.

Perfect fit and I am very very very (three verys) happy with these most excellent snow boots from Sorel. I am distraught about one thing. The Sorels did not come with snow to wear them in. A bit of a disappointment, I must say, but I am not taking off a star from my 5-star rating because it hardly seems fair to blame Zapponians for not being able to get me a $5 million "cabin" in some gorgeous snowy mountain area so I could lounge around all day in my "Joan of Arctics" wondering if I should at least go out onto the balcony in them (a few inches of snow) to get the hot cocoa set out on the table so I could enjoy the view of the Swiss Alps (Zappos would normally send a famous chef with the Sorels and the famous chef would make the cocoa and set it out in a lovely spread on a table on the balcony near the firepit and heated lounge chair, also provided by Zappos as part of the full "extra mile" service we have come to expect from Zappos). I know this missing cabin, snow, chef, cocoa, lounge chair, Alps thing is a mere oversight by Zappos' fulfillment and that the Zapponians INTENDED to give me the deed to the cabin with the perfect snow outside, and with appropriate servants and such, which of course might mean I would not have even needed to WEAR the Sorels because the manservant or whoever would be the one running outside into the cold and snow to fetch this or that for me. A pine cone I fancied while looking through the oversized windows, for example. "Jeeves," I would call out, lazily, "Do be a dear and fetch that pine cone over there, just beyond where the avalanche edge is." What does any this have to do with the fabulous fit and style of these Sorels? you are wondering. The question has just now occurred to me as well. Better late then never, I always say. But now it's way too late to 'fix' this review and really, if Zappos HAD included the expected $5 million cabin and snow (with or without Alps) but with the manservant, and you think for one minute I'm going to take off a star here because Jeeves is reluctant to go out in the snow and fetch me a particular pine cone, well, just think again.

I have had these boots now for 3 winters and they look still very new! They are cozy and keep my feet warm and dry. Never have I had my feet get wet when wearing these boots! I highly recommend these boots for winter! Also, I have used these boots for work when I shoveled snow and worked in construction as a flagger and stripper when it was as low as 19 degrees out!
