I bought these boots for my son who is away at school and he really likes them. It is just beginning to snow so he hasn't put them to the real test yet but he said the times he has worn them they are warm and comfortable, and keep his feet dry.

It looks great and keeps your feet nice and toasty. I normally wear it in the snow when I go skiing. It grips great on snow, but it's not so great on icy pavement/wet pavement. It's easy to get into, but a bit tricky to pull your foot back out. I would get another pair!

These are the best. Do you live or spend time in a place with snow on the ground? This is the gold standard boot for that. I wouldn't wear any other.

These boots feel great, now that I have the right size. Some reviewers stated that these felt a half size larger than listed. I wear a 9.5, and the 9 was way too tight. The 10 was perfect. I would recommend trying these on somewhere first if you can. It is hard to get my feet into these boots, and getting them out can be just as hard. I hope as the years go on that they will loosen up a bit. But, once they are on and I am out stomping in the snow, they are amazing.

Best winter boots ever! (p.s. if you own a dog in the north-east buy yourself a pair for the winter)

These boots do exactly what they're supposed to do-- keep the cold and wet out. My only slight disappointment is that they're a little heavy to wear for everyday walking around in the snow (i.e., commuting, subway stairs etc).

These are some serious winter boots. I use them to tromp around in the snow, and this year we got a ton of that. My feet are always warm and dry wearing these in the winter. I also appreciate being able to tuck my pants into them to keep them dry too. The only downside - it's really hard to drive a manual, with these in size 12!

Got these for my fiance for Xmas, and he loves them. Says they keep his feet nice and warm. We live in Chicago, and with his 10 minute walk to the commuter train every morning it's important that his feet be protected and warm, and these boots deliver. He did have to go down a size, from his usual 11 to a 10.

I would reccommend Zappos to anyone who wants quality merchandise and wants it fast. My orders were delivered in 24 hours and the recipients were delighted with their boots.

These are great boots and they arrived to Denver, CO in less than 48 hours. It was just before the snow storm. Right on, Zappos!

I bought these for my husband after I bought a pair for myself last year. He spends lots of time outdoors in the cold, sometimes slushy, Chicago winters and was envious of my cool-looking, super warm-looking boots. The defining moment was a weekend he spent camping outdoors in January in Wisconsin and realized his current boots couldn't hack it. He loves his Sorels. Fit perfectly, true to size and room for a second pair of socks. Later this winter he'll have another outdoor camping weekend and will test the true grit of these boots, but I can assure you he will have a warm, dry experience based on my own experience of these boots. He uses these to exercise the dog for long periods in the park; and to walk through our woods in the snow. Don't waiver; if you're looking for good, tough snow boots, just get these.

Sorel Caribou Sz 14 - As always, Zappos delivers. These are great boots that have kept me warm, dry, and comfortable. The sole does not pick up mud due to the open tread design. The lacing system is very quick. I expect to get a lot of miles from these boots in the heavy Lake Erie winters.

X-mas 2008 - 100 percent! Fit perfect, color was great. Efficiency of the order (ordered on a Sat and received the following Monday) was fabulous.

Great, but heavy - These are great waterproof, comfortable boots that keep feet warm, but are a little on the heavy side.

Great winter boot - This boot is everything advertised. No break in period required its comfortable right out of the box. The only downside is the boot is so well insulated, if you wear it in less than bitter cold weather, they can be too warm.

Great winter boots! I bought these for my husband who did not own a pair of proper winter boots even though we live in upstate NY. He was reluctant to wear them being quite fashion conscious and one of those guys that's "fine" wearing whatever, but once he spent a morning snow blowing the driveway in them he was sold. He loves how warm and dry they keep his feet. Granted, he used to wear leather ankle boots so this is not a great comparison. Anyway, no complaints so they get the thumbs up.

Great cold weather boot - I have been wearing Sorel's for 20 years. If you live in a snowy environment or plan on spending time in the mountains skiing or other winter fun, these are great boots, very warm and comfortable, a must have for cold weather.

Super cool looking, classic, and comfortable - I love these boots. We wore them sledding and our feet were very happy. I would recommend these boots to anyone. The fit was perfect with plenty of room in the toe for thicker winter socks. You don't want to squish socks or you won't be warm. I'm glad to have these in my arsenal.

Sorels in big sizes - We found it difficult to find the size my son needed, this winter there they are...in the right size. Thanks Zappos.

These are an amazing boot. Warm and dry all day long. However, they are cumbersome so if you are getting in and out of your truck whilst plowing, be sure of which pedal you are pressing.

Warm, solid, secure footing and easy to lace up. The one criticism I have is that they're a little clunky.

Very warm, completely lives up to its reputation - I bought several pair of winter boots and took a long time to find one that got the job done right, and the Sorel Caribou was definitely the clear winner. My only disappointment with it is that it is a pretty heavy boot. I have plantar fasciitis and have a hard time finding boots that work for me, because most have so little arch support, but the Caribou provides a good amount of stability and also allows me comfortably slip in extra arch supports. The heavy weight does make it painful on some days with the plantar fasciitus, but it's getting broken in well and will become more flexible by the looks of things.

Was a good boot at first...I bought these to work overseas and was glad to get them, but they were almost too warm...would make my feet sweat and then get incredibly cold. After 2 weeks the sides of the toes started to wear, and started to tear the natural rubber. After another week the rubber sole ripped a hole open where the siding of the sole meets the boot. Very disappointed. Also seemed to run a half size larger. Plan on returning once I'm home next month.
