This is one of the cutest and most comfortable of the Frye collection. The chocolate vintage is shiny yet distressed, the leather is very soft and comfy. I have worn them with straight leg jeans, leggings and a dress and they look excellent in all 3 circumstances. I have received many compliments when I wear them. Very funky yet feminine in an edgy way. I have many pairs of Frye boots. My favorites are the Harness 12R, the veronica and the vera. My normal shoe/boot size is an 8 medium width and I think the veronica run's true to size,the 8 fits great with a gym sock or tights. Just a shout out to Zappos...they are an amazing company with amazing dedicated employees. You won't be disappointed with these boots or this company.

Love this boot! I tried 3 different pairs of this boot, and they all fit a little differently. I am usually a size 7 1/2 or 8 and I ended up with a size 7 and I had one boot stretched at the shoe repair to fit my foot.

Love these boots! Very stylish and so comfortable. Wish I had gotten them sooner.

These are my favorite pair of motto boots. I tried a lot on and these fit best, were comfortable and did not gap too much in the top. They are a little stiff when you first wear them but it is easy to break them in.

With close to 400 reviews these boots hardly need my review but I'll provide one anyway. After much hem-and-hawing over what to buy - urban boot, riding, cowboy - I bought these Veronica shorty and the harness for comparison. I slipped my exact 10 1/2 size foot into the size 11 boot veronica and was instantly comfortable. So the others will go back...I can wear these almost every day - with dresses, skinny jeans etc. love 'em!

I really love these. They run about half a size big, and a tad stiff at first but I think they will break in great and wear really well. I bought the black vintage leather with the brown sole.

LOVE at first step! I am highly critical of any shoe as I have a very low threshold/tolerance for uncomfortable shoes. I have a low arch and wear orthotics with athletic shoes. This provides enough arch support to be wearable all day. I am typically a size 7 in "street" shoes but a 7.5 in boots and sneakers. I ordered a 7.5 and it was perfect. I was waffling between this and the 12R Engineer and the Veronica short with back zip. The look I'm seeking is moto, but not excessive, while retaining some femininity to pair with leggings or skinny jeans. The toe box is round but not too narrow - very proportioned. The shaft is very malleable and unstructured, but not in a negative way. It's not stiff so it gives a more relaxed feel. I'm 5'4" with a slight but athletic build and this falls right at mid-calf. Very flattering and doesn't make me look like I have "cankles" or thick calves. This boot completes me. Timeless. Classic.

Love the look and the feel for the most part. My left boot was bigger than my right boot but the right still fit! They fit true to size for the rt. boot. The left had a more room. I wear a 9.5 so the left felt like a 9.75 and the rt. was a true 9.5. But I still love em. They also felt comfortable. I dont think I can wear a very thick sock with them until I've stretched them out a bit.

Very big on me. And narrow front. Tried with thicker size but especially right foot was very tight even with thin sock.

Perfect. I love these boots. I ordered 1/2 size up so that they would work well with thick socks. The fit is great. They look fantastic and are very comfortable. This boot is an investment, but you'll have them forever.

I was debating between sizes for days before I ordered the boots. I'm usually a 6.5 in sandals and heels and most sneakers. Then other shoes I'm a 7, like in UGG boots I'm a 7. I went ahead and ordered a 6.5 and they fit perfectly! I don't have a high arch and I think that's why others have to size up. I actually have been wearing them barefoot but they are comfy in socks. Yes the heel could be tighter but it's not like you're flopping out of the boot if you have a correct fit. I can see this being a problem if you size up because you can't get your foot inside the boot. I bought the soft black and they are like butter. Really a beautiful boot that I'm excited for them to mold to my feet as they already got great! I'm only 5 feet so the length is perfect for me.

Love these boots. I wear a size 8 and ordered a size 8. When I tried to put them on I could barely get foot in the boots. I thought I would have to send them back. I wore them in the house for about an hour barefoot, than with thin socks and then my wool socks. They now fit perfectly and are very comfortable.

I have always loved Frye boots, my dad bought me my 1st pair when I was 13. I still own them and that was 30 yrs ago. I was torn between the short and tall boot, but when Zappos had the shorties on sale, I went ahead & bought them. Love them. I am a true 9.5. I have a hard time with fit because my right foot is a 9.5, my left is closer to a 9. If I go up to a 10, then my left foot is swimming in what is almost a size too big. I bought the size 9.5. They really are true to size. I have had them for about 2 weeks and I am still breaking in the right foot. Just a bit tight on my big toe; however, they are getting better every day! I was worried that the shorties would not be as cute as the tall when wearing skirts and the day I got them I tried them on with every look possible. They looked cute with everything! Obviously I would not wear them with an evening gown (perhaps if I was a teenager, I would) but truth be told, they rock everything I tried them on with. If you are looking for an everyday boot to wear to work, then go out at night and dance your butt off, theses boots are for you! Buy them, live in them and know that these babies will last forever! I can't even begin to tell how helpful Zappos was in buying these boots. I tried about 3 other pairs of boots that were not Frye (what was I thinking) and Zappos just kept on with their amazing service making every exchange fast and easy! I love Zappos! I love Frye boots. Love these boots! Really comfortable to wear for a long period of time. I bought them in size 8.5 and they fit perfect but I only wear thin socks with them.

These are the best boots ever. I wear them everywhere. The first couple days you will get blisters so make sure you wear moleskin or Bandaids or something. By day three-five they will be broken in so perfectly you wont want to take them off. True to size. Definitely get this boot if you're looking for your staple boot.

Really love this boot. The style is great, love the leather finish and the fit is comfortable. The boot is quite narrow in the toe making the fit different from my other Frye boots. The boot is not too heavy which is nice - one of my minor complaints about some Frye boots is that they are really heavy. So overall, love it!

I love these boots and have several pair tall and short...love this color but I don't think it goes with as much as brown does.

I absolutely love my Frye boots! This is the first pair of Frye boots that I have ever owned. I love them even more than I hoped. They are my favorite go to boots. They go with any and everything. I can wear them all day long and my feet never hurt. I have plantar fasciitis and I wear these boots without an orthotic and my feet feel great. I wish I could change all my boots over to Frye boots. I guess I will in time. I highly recommend this style!

These are beautifully made boots. I have received a lot of compliments on them. They go very well with straight jeans and leggings. I found that almost all of my socks rode down and bunched up under my (very high) arches when I wore the boots. I ordered three pairs of Keene socks (Alpine crew & others); they stay where they should; my Smartwools didn't. I have high arches and I don't need arch support and I don't really notice if boots provide arch support, or not.

Love these boots. Great wardrobe investment! And these can be warn year round with the right accessories and outfit. I finally made the plunge and bought these boots, because other boots just weren't cutting it anymore. Ive finally realized what all the fuss is about with women and their shoe collections, QUALITY and staying power; these boots have both, not too one trend and the quality is fantastic!

I have been looking for a red boot for quite a while and thought this one would be the answer. The boot is beautiful, high grade soft leather and a great color but unfortunately it was a little too big in the heel causing my foot to slip off when walking. I do have a narrow foot so that might be the problem. Hate to return them, will continue my search.

Worth every extra dollar spent! I bought three pairs of similar boots to compare. This Frye pair, A pair of Clarks Orinocco Kick and the Steve Madden Brewzzer. All the same color, size and style. As soon as I put the Clarks on they went right back into the box. tight and felt poorly made. The Steve Madden felt generous in size and the liner in them made it easy to pull on and off. But when I put the Frye boots on a completely different story. At first, they were difficult to get on because they do not have a liner, just the inside (suede) of the leather. So it was bit difficult to get my foot in. But I was glad that I had read a review stating that it takes a few day to get your boot to fit your foot. With Zappos great return policy, I took the chance and wore them around the house. It is like magic! I wore the boots with thin socks around the house for a couple of days for a couple of hours a day and voila! The boots fit like a glove. At first they were tight and was not sure if they would ever stretch, but I gave it a go. There is NO comparison of the quality of the boot. Since I'm a size 11 there is no room to go up a half size, but now there is no need to. I even wore them a week after buying them to walk around the city pavements for an entire weekend and my feet were all good. they are much better made then the Clarks or Steve Madden boots and can and will last forever. (a pair of Steve Madden boots that I bought at just a few months ago already feeling too worn and may only last one season) It is wort to spent the extra money on quality shoes. Love these boot, made me go and buy another pair of Frye boots just because they are so well made.
