These are the best. Quite comfortable, good cushioning, with elastic straps underneath nylon straps so you can tighten or not. This shoe is perfect for everything. I love my sandals. No blisters, straps are soft and pleasant. Nylon is the way to go; no shrinking, stretching or maintenance, and the shoe is the correct size. Zappos shipped them to me in Maui for free within 5 days of ordering.

I have been searching for a replacement for my Tevas. I narrowed it down to these and the Keen Hood River. I ended up getting the Hood River, as I wanted the the additional stability that they provided. However, I would say for most people the Newport is the better choice. It is more comfortable, easier to put on and take off, and feels more balanced in terms of weight. The Hood River is lighter overall, but since the top of the sandel is so light, it makes the sole feel "heavier." If you are mainly looking for a sandal for walking, goofing off and light water use--this is your choice. If you are wondering why I went with the Hood River: I cannot stand it when my heel slips out of a sandal in the water--If you have ever jumped into water over your head and swam around with sandals or had to jump out of a raft in swift water you know what I mean. I'm sure this will happen with the Newport--even with the elastic sinched up all the way. There is no way this can happen with the Hood River with the pull through strapping. Also, since the securing material doesn't stretch, it is much more stable if you're jogging around. This stability does sacrifice a bit of comfort though.

Almost perfect--heel strap needs work. My requirements were comfortable, fully ventilated, lace-less shoes. Although this may sound like a sandal, I was also looking for a closed toe, secure fit, and an overall shoe-like appearance. The Newport H2 is a little bulkier and clunkier than I desired, but I'm getting used to that. Improvements over the Nike amphibious shoes I used to wear include a more substantial toe, and one of those anti-microbial insoles--that together with ventilation--cool. The heel strap seems to be this shoe's weakest point. On the first day, the pull loop on one heel strap began to rip free, and on the third, the stitching broke. This is a bummer because the strap is not substantial enough to slip on without fingers, (or a shoe horn). Also, putting the shoe on, the comfortable lining material tends to get folded under the strap. However, a Keen Newport with a substantial heel counter would probably be my ideal all-purpose shoe.

My boys love these sandals, but I should have listened to the other reviewers when they said they stink! Even after washing, they are back to stinking within a few days. My kids never had stinky feet before, now they are awful. Other than that, great shoes, great fit, kids love them.

My 7 year old son loves the color and style. They are comfortable and very functional. I like them until he takes them off. The shoes and his feet smell awful. He doesn't even have to be in the same room. I have to put the shoes outside and make him wash his feet. I would give them 5 stars if it weren't for the offensive odor. It is that bad.

The pull strap ripped out of the back of the left shoe after only one week...not a horrible thing, but definitely inconvenient. Otherwise, these are great shoes.

Perfect fit and very comfortable. My kids have been wearing Keen sandals for years (we have bought Keens in 10 sizes at this point!) and they are super durable and comfortable, and stay pretty clean/fresh with an occasional wash.

This is our 8th or 9th pair over the years. Buy 2 for each kid every summer, some held up well to be handed down. Comfortable, durable, washable, rugged sole and closed toes. Great summer sandals!

Substantial for hiking and into the water!! Very happy with this version of boys sandals

My child loves these shoes. We have bought them every summer for the last four years. I find they are a little small - but we always order two sizes and usually the larger one fits. They are very durable, machine washable, and great for running around in the summer.

Fast delivery, had to return because of size was too small, customer service were super helpful. Definitely recommend this site!

Very sturdy and comfortable. My son wore these all over a theme park just a few days after we bought them, and they held up well in the water and didn't rub his feet. I have bought him cheaper knock-off styles before but these are definitely better made and more comfortable. Another win from Zappos!

Perfect for rough boys. My son is 9, this is his 9th Keen Spring/summer shoe. It's rugged, goes with everything and can make it from water to mud to restaurant no problem.

My son loves these shoes and we've walked miles and miles in them on our vacation. No blisters and they are great in the rain or hiking near water.

Bought these for my 5 year old son. He loves wearing them. Easy for him to put on and take off. And great shoes for summer. If you have an active child who likes to be outside, these shoes are a must. The brown color is great because it matches about anything he wears.

Keen sandals are all we buy for the summer and we put them through a lot! They never fail and each pair goes through all the kiddos (4). My boys shoes tend to really smell after a while and these never have; just throw them in the wash occasionally.

Wonderful roomy shoe for the kid who cannot play hard enough in the summer. Does tend to get stinky after a year or so but will go in the washing machine to freshen up. All my kids have Keens and use them from the playground to the beach to sports to hiking - basically they are never out of them all summer.

My son tries on a variety of this type of shoe every year and he always picks this one, the Keen Newport H2. He likes the style but it's the comfort that sells him. We have him try them on with his eyes close. And they always last the whole summer - never any blisters. Gotta love it!
