Wide dress shoe - Excellent!! I stepped right into it and was comfortable. I usually go to a department store and try on the 1 or 2 shoes in a wide fitting, to no avail. Good shoe, good price, great fit.

Needs breaking in - Impressed with the size selection-my husband wears a 13B so it's difficult to find a shoe that fits. Leather is a little stiff so they need to be broken in but are still fairly comfortable to walk in. Most impressive was the FAST delivery. This was the first time ordering from Zappos and received the shoes in 3 days.

Good shoe for the price. I like the brown color. A "D" was too tight (more like a "C"), but the next widest "EE" is just a tad wide. Wish they had an "E". Other than that I am happy. Performed an exchange and again I am impressed with the high level of Zappos customer service.

Bought them for my husband... For his birthday, he wanted BROWN shoes. These appealed to him in the picture. They're "fine" is his comment, but that's a compliment from him. After being broken in ("a little stiff"), they're good now.

So, I am a fan of Rockport but these disappoint me. I only got the waterproof style because I needed a wide size and the other styles were out of my size in wide. The finish looks cheap and plastic. When the leather gets creased it looks grey, like black plastic does when you bend it. Also, the width seems less wide than other Rockports I have worn. Other than that, they seem comfortable but do need some breaking in, particularly at the achilles area.

This is a serviceable shoe. I've owned a few other Rockport shoes in the past, so I thought that this would be a good replacement for my current pair. I can't say I hate the shoes, but the quality of the material is not as good as other models of shoes by them. I'd recommend spending a little more and buying something with higher quality leather.

I ordered these shoes because they looked good online. I was surprised when they arrived, seriously they looked cheap, they looked like something you would find at Payless. I had to return them, they did not look like shoes at this price at all.

This dress shoe did not fit me well. It was much too wide. The heel slipped badly. I have worn other Rockport walking shoes and they fit very well in a narrow though I am a 3A and a 4A in the heel. I can wear a narrow in Rockport walking shoes and a B and A width in other shoes manufacturers have served me well. This felt very comfortable until I tried to walk then they slipped in the heel badly. I had to return them. I wanted a dress shoe that could be used as a walking shoe unlike the traditional walking shoes from Rockport that I have worn for years with good results but they just do not look dressy and I wanted specifically a dress shoe. So I will have to go with a higher end dress shoe which is very limited in my size which has always been a big problem.

Rockport changed the sizing and the last on these shoes at some point in the past three years. Three years ago I purchased a pair of US size 10. They fit just fine. This year I purchased a size 10. They were way too large. Then I purchased a size 9.5. Still too large. I am guessing that Rockport stopped making half sizes and used different sized inserts to come up with a half size. All that said, if they fit, they are nice shoes. They keep their shine. They are waterproof.

Nice shoe construction, but when I bend forward the top of the shoe cuts into my toes. Perhaps this would go away as they broke in, but I'm not confident. Going to return.

The overall shoe is good. The right shoe is a little narrow and therefore tight around my smallest toe. I feel that they will wear in soon. The one thing I don't like is that the shoes squeak when I walk.

The good: The fit on the size 8 XW was perfect. The shoe looks pretty durable. The bad: The leather of the side flaps squeaked against the tongue on every step. And, the crease across the toe formed quickly and deeply. A single large, deep crease that dug deep into the tops of my toes on every step. And the style of the shoe emphasized the stubbiness of my feet. Returned after 4 minutes' use.

I think the shoes will be alright but have definitely had some discomfort with the top of the heel feeling like it is pushing into my foot. It's getting better but wish it was out of the box comfortable.

I've been wearing Rockport shoes for several years, but found this one to be much stiffer and much less comfortable compared to previous ones I've had.

The shoes fit great! BUT, the creases in the leather at the point where the shoe bends as a result of normal walking, are noticeable. I have tried leather conditioner (and use a shoe tree) and good polish and that has helped a bit. At the same time, those same creases show forth "salt stains" from a perspiring foot (something that hasn't happened on any other shoe I have worn). I bought two pairs and rotate them. I like them but the creases and the unsightliness of the salt stains will make me rethink about purchasing them in the future.

The shoe looks good but since it's built long, when you take a step, the top of the toe-box pinches down on the top of your foot, making them pretty uncomfortable to walk in.

Looks cheap (and plasticky) up close, but not that many people are getting up close to your shoes. Lots of padding that felt like it would get matted down quickly, but it was comfy.

Great look, bad fit - I've worn these shoes for six months and thought they just needed to be broken in. I own other Rockports and this is the only pair that's been painful to wear. As another reviewer mentioned, they pinch on the top just inside the eyelets. It's gotten to the point where I have a bruise that hurts when I put on comfortable shoes. I would recommend against buying these shoes.

Good shoe - This is probably a pretty good dress shoe for the price. The rubber sole is probably going to be pretty durable over time. Shortly after I began wearing them the leather along the seam on the toe tore when I bumped it against something. I'm not sure these are going to be extremely durable, but they'll do the trick.

These are the noisiest shoes I've ever come across. It s in the flaps where the laces go through. The flaps don t squeak rubbing against the tongue; they've got a little piece of fabric there. It s the lace flaps themselves which are an inner and outer piece of leather that is stitched together. I've wore these for a month now and it s not getting any better. My co-workers have started saying things like, here comes squeaky. I wish I have returned them. Too bad, they look and feel good.

This was the second time I got Rockport shoes for myself. The first time was great, good shoes and very comfortable; so I decided to get the same brand for the second time. However, for some reason, the left shoe I got hurt my big toe so bad to the point where I could not even walk, literally. Although the shoes gave me a hard time, Zappos customer service was absolutely excellent. They agreed to offer me a full refund even though the shoes have been worn. Zappos, definitely yes again, but Rockport, not too sure.
