Very nice shoe. None of the Rockport stores I visited had my size (14), so I purchased it online. Fairly easy to break in, after wearing this once or twice, it's comfortable. I wouldn't go too long (i.e. a whole day with it), but not a bad shoe at all. I actually have the same shoe in a different color (oxblood), and I liked it so much that I got it in black. My only (very minor) complaint is the front toe piece. In the oxblood color, you don't notice it that much, but in black, you can see the piece and the seam line, it looks kind of weird.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in over a decade. I sometimes have to stand most of the day and when I do, my feet are usually in pain by the end (I have no natural arch support). With these shoes, they feel as good at the end of the day as at the beginning. They are not the most beautiful shoes I have ever owned but hands down they are the most comfortable. I am going to buy a few more pairs even if I wish they were more stylish.

This shoe is comfortable although there was a brief (few days) break in period required for shoe and foot to acclimate to each other. I would say this shoe is appropriate in a casual day to day office environment where a fairly conservative look is desired.

These are very comfortable shoes to wear compared to most business shoes I have had. The only flaw I have seen is the leather on top where the shoe bends most has gotten a little cracked. This seems to be a compromise in construction because the leather holds up well in the rain.

The shoes took a few days to break in. I had initial pinching of my pinky toes, but that's gone away with repeated wear and use of shoe trees. The shoes took a great shine and now feel very comfortable. The soles are a bit squeaky on some flooring surfaces, but not a major problem. Also, have not yet noticed any breathability issues due to waterproofing.

The shoes are fine, but the service was even better. Less than 24 hours after I placed my order, the shoes were waiting for me on my front porch!

These shoes look fairly nice; however, they aren\'t the greatest in comfort. The capped toe puts a slightly uncomfortable pressure on the top of my feet when I walk. I have never had this problem in the past with capped-toed shoes. Additionally, they felt only slightly larger than other shoes in the same size.

Zappos' service is fast. These shoes are well made and handsome; however, I don't remember spec indicating they were waterproof. This is good and bad. They won't soak up the melted snow, but they're also a bit hot to wear.

Rockport Ellingwood - After 3 months of wearing about 3 times a week, they are still a little tight across my toes, top of feet. Soles wear fast (the tread) I only wear them on carpet at the office. That's disappointing.

Happy to see a narrow width! My husband stands on his feet at work all day - he can wear a med. width in a smaller size, but it's never as comfortable for him as narrow. Bought the oxblood color which goes with just about everything. Shoes a bit stiff out of the box, DID take awhile to break in, but are fine now.

Great shoes, even look good dirty (probably even better dirty). Not good for long walks, however.

Good looking dress shoe. They felt narrower than advertised. There is definitely no arch support or cushioning. They lasted for about 8 months of wearing every other day.

Shoes are way too hard. I thought they would break in and become more comfortable but that didn’t happen.

These seemed much bigger than the size marked.

We were disappointed when we took them out of the box. The shiny "waterproof" leather makes the shoes look cheap. If I'm paying for leather, I want them to look like leather. I do not consider them professional-looking shoes.

This show is much to narrow. Painful to wear.

Leather was very attractive and shiny; however it was quite stiff. The tongue ended up digging into the front of my son's ankle, so they have to go back. They did, however, accommodate my son's wide foot and high instep with a narrow heel.

Very good looking shoe I ordered 13 4E and the size is fine.There is a slight tread on the sole which gives added traction in wet or icy conditions. My complaint would be that the left shoe begins to dig into the instep of my foot after wearing all day which is very uncomfortable. I probably would have returned them except that by the time i discovered it was a problem i had already worn them all day,so i don't think that was an option. The width is fine, however.

Thought that Rockports were a comfortable durable shoe. Wore them for 12 work days and never were comfortable on top of the feet near the toes. Therefore cannot report as to the durability because they are going back!

The most uncomfortable Rockports I have ever worn. Feel like they are made by another company. Cannot understand the positive reviews. All other Rockports allow me to walk for miles.

Generally I have had terriffic luck with Rockport shoes, However in this case the shoe pinches my toes just behind the stitching at the toe cap. I will be returning this pair of shoes. I bought a similar shoe in the ECCO brand and it is very comfortable.

Beautiful shoes, but if you bought them because the popped up in the WIDE SHOES search then you'll be disappointed. Will try Extra Wide sizing next time.

Nice shoe for the price. The leather is stiff but this a good shoe to use in the rain etc.
