I bought this pair for the low price and the style. I needed to replace my old Rockport Office Essentials, which are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had, but this pair was about $40 less on the initial sale offered. I like the heel, which the integrated sole of my former Rockports do not have; presumably, I can replace just the heel when it wears down. The Ellingwoods are not as comfortable as the former ones (not Ellingwood capped-style, just plain), but they seem to be breaking in fairly well after about a week of use. The fit, for some reason, is not quite the same, though both are 9M; the new ones seem just a bit looser at the back. The waterproof feature may be useful. My real only complaint is that they are squeaking somewhat. I hope this ends soon.

Great shoes very confortable

I bought these for my husband, who loved them. He has a very wide foot. However, they ran a bit too small. I will need to exchange them for the next size.

Overall the shoe is very comfortable. I could wear it all day and it doesn't cause any fatigue with my feet. The color looks a little dull. It looks like an office shoe. Nothing fancy. Nothing that makes me say oh WOW. However, my only gripe is with the left shoe. My left little toe rubs against the outside of the shoe. I'm sure it will get better with time, but for now that's how it is. I would buy it again. I would not buy extras to keep around to quickly replace my current shoe if my current shoe were to wear down all the way.

Unlike previous pairs of Rockport, this one has taken a few wears to break in. Otherwise, I am satisfied with my purchase.

These were for my husband who has very narrow feet. He thought out of all the pairs we tried, these were the most comfortable. His one HUGE complaint is, that though they are comfortable for about 2 hours, after that they start rubbing and create a blister on his heel- every time he wears them. He's tried heavier and lighter socks and wearing them around the house to loosen them up. Again, 2 hours, no problem, but after that he has to take them off. Being a business shoe, 2 hours is "just the beginning" of the day.

I like these shoes, they fit very well. I am on my feet all day they are comfortable and look good. I had Rockport in the past without any issues.

This is my second pair purchasing from the collection. These shoes work with my insoles. Also the water proof material is excellent. I recommend any customer to purchase this item as an everyday work shoe. Great choice.

These shoes look great with formal business attire and hold their shine well. The fit is nice and snug. The only drawback is that they are somewhat painful to break in. If you're going to purchase these - and that would be a good decision - be careful about breaking them in. Always have another pair on hand and don't bring them as your only pair on when traveling.

Great shoe fit right out of the box. True to size. I am hard on shoes and wear these shoes 6 days a week. They will normally last 7-8 months.

The shoestrings are fraying and will need to be replaced too soon (replacements are inexpensive). Otherwise, the shoes are very comfortable.

Very good pair of shoes, but the backs are a little stiff, so I've been breaking them in a little bit at a time.

These Rockport shoes seem to be a good value at this price point. Since these shoes are water tight, it also makes them very warm during the winter.

Overall, it seems like a quality business shoe. The leather is a little "dry?" Not sure how else to say it. It gets creases after the first wear at the bast of the tongue. Smart looking shoe, but get an insole unless you're flat footed.

My husband is on his feet for 10-12 hours a day so it's important to have a shoe that holds up. He said you do have to break them in, but that is typical in new shoes. The crease has been difficult to break in and is still giving blisters, but overall good shoe.

Shoe fits a little tight around the toes. Overall good shoe, great shoe for bad weather but still looks nice enough to wear around the office.

They were incredibly painful to break in. The area around the ankle and fifth toe (little toe) was unbearable the first several times I wore it. However, now that I am breaking them in, it is not so bad. Also, I am in a wet climate, so being water-proof makes them invaluable.

This is a well built quality shoe. A bit stiff out the box, which means a bit of a break in period, but the shape and the construction look good. Fairly comfortable to walk around in for the whole day at the office, but might rub at the wrong places on the foot, such as the crease by the toe area. I have flat feet, and these are great for that because there isn't any arch.

I bought these in 10.5 not realizing I had a burgundy pair in 10. Here's the deal: The shoe is wide enough but my toes still felt scrunched. I took out the insoles and put in my orthotics - these just come halfway up the shoe. I found that I have a lot more room in the toe area when the insoles are removed. That is I have more room vertically. I have the same issue with the size 10. For some reason these shoes narrow vertically in the toe area compared to other Rockport models I own.

This is a beautiful shoe that retains its luster and brand new look. It is also waterproof, which is great for those rainy days. Unfortunately, it is also very stiff. While perfectly comfortable when standing or sitting, with great arch support and a quiet sole, the uppers dig into my big toe metatarsal when I walk. This became very painful over the course of a day. It's getting better as the uppers soften up a bit, so in the long run I think I'll like this pair quite a bit. They just take some old school breaking in.
