I have four other pair of this model. The problem with this one is that the heel doesn't fit properly.. It is higher than previous shoes... it has a huge gap in front of where the heel cup is stitched to the side piece. Either they have changed the last... or it also seems the leather may have changed. Either way as much as I wanted another pair did not want to chance this one because as it becomes worn it will be loose and sloppy.

I am the one that wrote a rave review in this shoe a number of years ago. That pair of shoes has become one of my all time favorite shoes, and sadly, the time has come to replace them. But it won’t be with this pair that arrived today. The first pair was made of a beautiful, soft, pliable leather with a burnished even sapphire finish. This recent pair is made of a hard leather, the ‘distressed’ blue looks like it has black paint smeared on by a kindergartner. And the wonderful wide toe box was paired down to be like every other ordinary women’s shoe. I’ll keep shopping; this one goes back by return mail!

This is a great looking shoe but the third time I wore it a piece of the piping came loose and totally spoiled the shoe. Trying to figure out how to deal with this problem on Zappos . . .

Ordered this shoe for some extensive walking in NYC and Paris. It is not cushioned well, I felt like I was walking on a hard surface all the time. It is not unattractive, but not a good cushioned walking shoe at all.
