The Kumara is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, right out of the box. Since I have Morton's Neuroma' s and Plantar Fasciitis in both feet, comfort is paramount. I currently have 2 pair in white, one of which has seen better days. I came back for a 3rd pair and am very disappointed they no longer have white. Other colors are not an option. I live in this shoe.

Love Naot shoes. However, have ordered 2 different sizes and this shoe is not the shoe for me. 7 too short and 8 too wide in the heel. More blue than gray in color. Wanted more of a silver color.

These are just about the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. They accommodate my orthotics, but with the Naot footbed would also be fine for anyone who doesn't need orthotics. Wasn't sure I'd like the color, but it's terrific -- with jeans, for example, the color looks bluish; but with gray or black, the color blends and looks more dark gray. Work well with "trouser socks" or other lightweight socks, and in fact I've even worn them with Smartwool socks and just loosened up the laces a tiny bit. I've had my pair for nearly a year, and from October through May I wore them at least twice a week. (Not wearing them quite so often in the summer heat.)

Fabulous shoe. I have chronic plantar fasciitis and have spent thousands of dollars on orthotics and shoes just to be able to walk for a limited amount of time without excruciating pain. I love the look of the shoe - unlike any other walking shoe. This shoe (or any of the Naot's) coupled with Nikkei magnetic shoe inserts have given me a new lease on life and I'm back to walking 4 miles a day with minimal discomfort. The Kumara is expensive but has been well worth it for me. I'm saving up for another pair in black.

I bought the steele/black combination and was wowed by the color when I first opened the box. The Steele is more of a metallic blue-grey with silver highlights. That is eye-catching and definitely different looking, but not overly flashy. Regarding size I normally wear a 39, especially in comfort shoes with wide toeboxes, but with these, my feet felt better with the 40. The 39 brought my toes up to the very edge of the shoe, but the 40 allowed my toes a little more movement and room to freely slide forward without getting scrunched in the toes when walking downhill. This runs contrary to Naot's suggestion of ordering a size down. After buying these shoes I bought another pair of Naot sandals and also purchased a 40, I stead of my usual 39. The cushioning is great, arch support great. Love the removable footbed feature, although the existing footbed is super and I do not need to add my orthotic. I bought these to wear for long-distance urban walking and they are super. They look like upscale combination of athletic shoes/oxfords.

I love this shoe. It was not comfortable right out of the box, but I wore them around the house to break them in and to make sure I liked them since they are pricey. Now I wear them everywhere. I wanted a sturdy, 'sassy' white shoe to wear without socks when I wore capris and this shoe fits the bill. Thanks to Zappos for the free next day service. I like that a lot too.

Extremely comfortable. I bought them right before a trip, and wore them the whole time. Love the Noat footbed. The sides pucker a little: fit like a moccasin! I'm considering buying another pair in the other color.

I LOVE these shoes. I have the white pair. The interior is super soft leather. the sole is grippy. I also like the look with the metallic trim. I wear these shoes with jeans, trousers, and khakis. They may be a touch on the casual side but are fine for an engineer who walks a lot on the job. I have long skinny feet with a narrow heel. These fit my feet great. The heel works with my heel. There is no gapping or slipping. The laces make the shoe fit the contour of my feet like gloves. I also have a the Naot Tanguro style shoes and those are just as great with a heel that is just a smidge narrower. My only wish is that all the Naot styles had as narrow of a heel. If you can accept the sticker shock of these shoes, buy them! You won't regret it.

Bought my second pair of Naot Kumara shoes to wear in Disney parks. Walked all day 10 to 12 hours and was the only one in the group who did not have sore feet or legs by the end of the trip. These shoes are awesome. They are very well made and the most comfortable shoes I own. Could not have done Magic Kingdom without them. I wear a size 8 and the 38 fit perfect. Pricey but worth every penny.

The color "steel" is actually blue – navy blue. I ordered two pairs of Kumara in two colors. There was defective construction/stitching in one shoe of each pair. One shoe gaped out 1/4 inch on the inside, below the ankle bone, even though it was laced up as snugly as possible. In the other, the stitching that joins the suede and smooth leather pieces does not make a smooth curve, but rather a puckered, zig-zag line. I returned both pairs and have not re-ordered. Naot seems to be letting its quality control slip.

I love wearing these shoes. They provide good arch support and provide nice cushioning for my feet. I could walk in them all day. I was disappointed in the color. The shoes are almost navy....not the grey shown in the picture. This particular style of NAOT has a wider footbed, which I need.

Love 'em! I chose Kumara over the Hui, after walking around the house in both for a few days. Just felt the style was a little more interesting (bluish grey leather is unusual). I have the worst feet to fit on this planet but I can walk around all day on these Kumaras and still be comfortable. Lightweight. Unlike other reviewers, I found them to be absolutely true to size.

I wore this shoe on my trip to Europe. It was so comfortable, and I was actually stopped by a fellow passenger in the airport in Milan to ask where I had found them, and to comment on how nice they looked.

I love these shoes! I ordered one size down as the manufacturer suggested. It rubbed the heel of one of my feet a little, but I just put a band aid on and in two days they fit perfectly. They're very comfortable now and I get a lot of compliments.

Fit like a glove right out of the box. Soft suede lining, good arch support, plenty of toe room. I wear a 41 in Naot, and a 10W in New Balance. This is my 4th pair of Naots, I have 2 Mary Jane styles and 1 sandal. This shoe fits like the Mary Janes (Matai and Kirei). I like to wear Naots when I am walking, traveling in the city all day for a dressier, but just as comfortable, alternate to athletic shoes. Can't beat Zappos, either. 1 day delivery, free shipping both ways...but I won't be returning these, for sure!

Very comfortable and more stylish than sneakers. My foot is on the wide edge of B width and these fit well. Good arch support.

Nice looking shoe, classier than a sport sneaker. Butter right out of the box but with comfortable support, a real keeper. I like a wider toe box and this shoe fits the bill. Overall though I felt the width was a standard medium. I'm very tempted to order the other color in this shoe but too darn pricey!

After much research I purchased Capezio Fierce Dancesneakers 1-1/2 sizes larger than my street size for a perfect fit. If you have problems dancing/exercising on hard surfaces with bare feet, these shoes are flexible enough for full range toe-pointing, etc. with plenty of padding and support. They have the just enough slip to avoid twisting your knees during turns and slides. I use them for hip-hop, salsa, Carolina shag and so on. After a recent plantar fasciitis flare up, I even use them for belly-dancing class. No more pain. Love these shoes! This was my first experience with Zappos and I couldn't have been more pleased with the service.

Great walking shoe -
This shoe is extremely comfortable and lightweight. Ample toe room and good arch support. I found this shoe to be true to size. The write-up stated it ran big and to order a size smaller, which I did, only to send it back. I suggest ordering your usual size.
Naot is the best! That's all I wear.

Love Them!
I have size 8 Wide or 8 1/2 feet and these shoes fit me perfectly. These are, of course, very comfortable (no problem with the heel rubbing) and they look more sophisticated then a sneaker.

Go Everywhere in Comfort -
This is the shoe (but in all black) that just saw me through five airports and a river cruise in comfort and style. My podiatrist says it's made the way all shoes SHOULD be made, with resiliency but not too much flex; with soft, comfortable uppers that lace for perfect fit; and with an oblique toe line that follows your foot. The perforations on its uppers make it breathable, while the attractive sole ridges offer great traction. Since its cork-and-latex footbed is removable, this shoe accommodates my full-length orthotics splendidly. Nor did I have to sacrifice fashion: In black-on-black, this snappy little shoe had the go-all-day comfort of a sneaker, but with the suave, polished look of a fine pair of oxfords. My hostess, quite a shoe maven herself, wanted to know where I got them. Zappos scores again!

Perfect for me -
This shoe was fantastic for my feet. It has good metatarsal support, which (along with the Feldenkrais Method) has helped me nip post-ankle-injury plantar fasciitis in the bud. The arch support isn't as high as some others, but with good metatarsal support I don't need as much arch support. Arch support alone doesn't cut it for me any more.
No shoe is right for everyone - I've found shoes with fantastic ratings to be a disaster for me.

I wanted to love this shoe as I have one pair of Naots and they are made for real feet, and are comfortable. Unfortunately my heel slips in these, and I don't think I could wear a whole size smaller as I have a wide foot and needed the 39 for my width. I am so bummed. They are attractive, stylish, and comfortable. If you have a medium foot with no issues requiring a wide toe box, then go for these. They are pricey, but will last I believe, based on my previously purchased Naots.

These were a Mother's Day Gift for when we start walking this summer. I returned the first pair because the left foot had a puckered seam. The new pair also has a slightly less puckered seam on both shoes. I decided to keep them because I believe they will all look the same way and since I'll be walking in them on mulched trails they will get creased where the foot bends anyway. They are sooo comfortable, and I need new walking shoes, so they're keepers!
