So disappointed...this is a cute shoe but runs very small. Not true size at all. I ordered my normal size and even with a thin silky sock could not get my foot in this shoe. Did Naot make some kind of sizing adjustments due to large comments? Too bad...going back now.

I had to return it because it was too small. I ordered a size down as the review suggested but it was too tight. I normally wear a size 9 (40) and have flat feet and bunions.

Althey are comfy enough though this shoe was listed as being roomy and running large, it was really small and tight on me! Because the color was marked copper, I was hoping the copper would be a little brighter/shinier/more metallic than in the photos, but it isn't. It really does look like the photos, and wasn't as cute as I'd hoped.

This is my biggest shoe purchase regret. I bought these because of their great reviews and cute little elfkin design. When I first tried them on, I was indeed smitten. HOWEVER. They ran big to begins with, but seemed to loosen an entire size over the course of the year I owned them. I didn't gain or lose weight or change in any special way, so it's def the shoes. Also, without that much mileage, they look really beat up. I'm embarrassed to wear them now. When I bought them, a salesperson at a local show store told me they sell the inserts. If I wanted to replace the inserts and basically wear these the rest of my life, I could. Um, no. That is not true. I'm going to try Tieks next and maybe go back to Keen.

I loved the color and style of this shoe to look at; however, the heavy insole/sole is in conflict with the rather delicate/thin leather upper; at the strap stress point, the shoe pulls the leather as if it were fabric...high price for a not-so-quality construction.

The toe box is SO narrow that I would have to gnaw off my own foot, if I actually wore them. I am shocked that people swore that they were true to width. Great for a narrow footed, artsy woman.

Really impressive at first. The Naot Matai didn't have much staying power. These shoes were the first shoes I'd been professionally fit for since I was twelve. After 15 years of buying pinching, cheap, too-narrow, too-small shoes with no support or cushioning to speak of, I finally wised up, and went to a specialty footwear retailer in my town. The first time I put these shoes on, it was like a revelation. They were more comfortable than being barefoot, and heaps more comfortable than any sneaker I've ever owned. I was walking on air, and I felt like I was walking on a cloud, too. I walk to work (less than two miles each day), but I have an office job. I kept these clean and only wore them in dry weather, but was really disappointed with the way they endured. After a month, the strap detached from the shoe, and I had to have them repaired. After three months (not of daily wear, either, because I bought these in the spring and I tend to wear my Birks all summer), the footbed on these was torn apart and really compressed. A year later, they've been in for repair three more times. The last time I brought them in, the person who took my shoes asked me "what are they, ten years old?" The icing on the cake is that the footbed hurts my feet now, and a day in these will leave my feet (I have bunions, but nothing extreme) stiff and aching. Maybe the pair I bought were a dud, but I'd be really hesitant to recommend these shoes to anyone who plans to wear them for more than six weeks.

Comfy, but not very attractive - I bought these shoes hoping for a comfortable shoe to wear to work. They were super comfortable, but not very stylish - they are pretty bulky. Sadly, I had to return them. Since they are relatively expensive (in my opinion), I wanted to really like what I was wearing! Zappos made it really easy to return them!

One shoe has a scratch on it. I tried to exchange it for another pair but you cannot exchange it for the same size. I talked to a nice customer service person who confirmed this. I will need to return the item for a credit and then reorder. The problem is that it may take 10 days to receive the credit. After that, I can reorder and wait another week for it to arrive at my house. I just want everyone to understand how returns work.

Cute shoe but the sole deterioration was very upsetting. This happened in multiple Nato shoes and no manufacturer support. As a matter of fact this happened to several people I know. I love the comfort but the shoe is poorly made and not worth the price. I would give them zero stars if possible. (I had three other pairs that did the same.)

This is the 3rd time I have placed an order with Zappos and received shoes that were not "new" shoes. These shoes have places that indicate they have been worn and returned. They are too expensive to keep as new shoes. I used to love Zappos, but I will not be purchasing anything else in the future.

Possibly the most unattractive shoe I have ever tried on. And they weren't even comfortable.

The shoes that were sent hardly looked like the quality I am used to for Naots. They were improperly sewn and did not come in the original box. Since my size was no longer available I am guessing these shoes were returned by several people.

Unfortunately I could not give a review on the Naot Matai because I was sent the Naot Kirei instead.

These shoes had obviously been worn. They were stretched out at the heel and in the toe area. Unacceptable!

I wore Matai shoes for many years. These are no longer the same shoe. The 38, which size I always wore, is too small. The 39 is way to large.

I have been wearing Naot Matai shoes for at least 17 years and size 38 has always fit. These don't, they are too short and my toes hit against the tip of the shoe. I tried a 39 and they are huge. There is a change in the sizing of this shoe.

It looked huge.

They hurt my feet, which surprised me, and disappointed me.

I was super excited when I read the reviews that this shoe was cut large. I am a 12 1/2 -13 and figured it would fit great. I could barely put my foot into it. Definitely not cut large. Very disappointed

I debated on purchasing these shoes since they are a higher price then I normally buy shoes. I 'm so happy I did I love these shoes! I have planter fascitisis and meuropathy and 1 foot bigger then the other by 1/2 a size I normally wear a an 8.5 and my right shoe is always too big but the strap across help keep my foot in place. My other foot is not cramped in the shoe. My balance is better since the sole is flat. I dont want to take them off! I knew I was right to order from zappos since they have free returns but no need for that!

Great shoes. Really classy for this style and a comfort fit. Love them. They are a little wider in the toe box and more narrow in the heel. Well made. Also, thanks Zappos for your outstanding customer service. You have the sizes I want, the advice, fast check-out and delivery - who could ask for more? Even if I have to return you make it so simple. One recent trip to a local shoe store with a friend made me want to tell you how much I appreciate you. She waited in line for 15 minutes only to find they didn't have the size she wanted (they couldn't ship the right size from another store for 10 days) I told her go home and order from Zappos. No need for this. Thanks for being a great experience.

So annoying! We ordered the "Shiny Black Leather" Matai in a 36. What received was a Size 37 Black Suede, in a box marked "36". So we returned the shoe and reordered. Today we received the shoe in size 36...but still in Black Suede!!! When you click on the pictures the shoe is clearly supposed to be SMOOTH BLACK LEATHER, not SUEDE!!!
