These keep my daughter on her feet at work. No more "graceful" falls to alert oncoming traffic that there is ice.

Buy them. Easy on/off. Make 100% difference on any shoes. Not for high heels but otherwise great. Traction on ice. Chains for your feet. And they're cheap.

YakTrax work great. I have a steep driveway and I could not stand on it in snowy/icy conditions with normal shoes even with good treads. I would slide to the bottom. With YakTrax I can shovel snow or use the snow blower and never slip on the driveway. I wear a 13 narrow shoe and the large size YakTrax conforms nicely to my boot. They are easy to attach. Just follow the instructions.

I have both the walker and the pro. I find that I use the pro more often. As mentioned, go up a size. Both are terrific but I like the strap on the pro when in deeper snow. I am size 9 or 9½ boot and bought the medium in both types.

After my mom slipped on the ice when walking our dog and bruised her knee I bought these for her immediately. She said that they are amazing and that she felt completely secure while walking on any type of icy or wet surface during the cold Chicago winters. She said that she even felt like she could run in them if she needed to without losing traction. Hopefully they will continue to keep her safe!

I didn't try them yet but I tried them on both pair of boots I have. The 9.5 size is right on. I like the strap. I'm glad you offer 1/2 sizes. If not I probably wouldn't have ordered them. I was using an old pair of fishing corkers but they are too heavy.

I like these a lot for when it's not too icy. Katoola microspikes work best in very icy conditions.

I wear these hiking on ice and snow up and down hills in the woods. They pretty much do the job but I still need to be careful on ice going down hill. That is why I only gave them 4 stars.

Great product, however, I've had two pairs and a single coil at the ball of my foot has unwound and worked its way off the the rubber strap (on both pairs). Maybe it's the way I walk. I still recommend for ice and snow.

I've had a few pair of Yaktrax. The addition of a strap was a plus. The biggest minus is that the metal coils and disconnect and the rubber strips break within a fairly short time. A pair doesn't even last me a year now. However, I still wear them because I love winter hiking and they really help with the traction.

Just starting into my second winter using Yaktrax Pro. On the plus side, they definitely prevent slipping on the smoothest ice even on my steep terrain, and they have so far lasted one entire winter and one month of this winter.
On the con side, they will come off my boots even though the sizing was per manufacturer's chart, and they are in fact pretty hard to stretch into place over the boots. The instep strap is a must to keep from losing them somewhere in the pasture when they work loose. I lost the first pair of "walkers" this way and that's why I now use the "pro".
The other problem is that the wires are simply spiraled around the rubber strings without any definite connection that I can see to hold the ends in place, and the wire ends readily unspiral during use. This means frequent snags of sharp points sticking out the sides of your boots onto leaves, twigs, your doormat, etc., requiring frequent manual replacement of the wire spiral ends back on the rubber band under the foot, including potentially poking the sharp end of the wire into your fingers.
Still, it beats a broken leg from a slip on the ice!

I live in Alaska and have been using Yaktax Pro for several weeks. While I have not tested them running or doing extensive hiking, I do use them when walking my dog, walking to the mailbox, and when I'm out viewing and photographing the northern lights. I feel much more confidant when using them on slippery ice and snow. Be careful of sizing, however. The size chart says that a women's size 9 should purchase a SM. Because my boots are rated to -50F, they are much clunkier. I opted for a MED which were a little bit of a struggle to get on - but they do fit. You might want to go a size larger than what is recommended, especially if you'll be wearing Yaktrax over snow boots as opposed to running shoes.
All in all, a wonderful product that has performed as I hoped, giving me just the right amount of traction to feel much safer in winter.

I purchased them last year for walking in the park. They work wonderful. I only issue is getting them on. Not sure, if it because I am so bundled up. I like them and have recommended them to other people.

Great for jogging in the winter months. Work best on roads that have been plowed but still have a layer of ice or snow. I would not recommend them for deep snow. Make sure to pull the strap tight enough, otherwise they will twist. I would have given five stars but the first pair I received had a defective buckle and broke. I returned them. No problems with the second pair.

I bought the YAKTRAK a year ago when snow and ice made walking the trails on our local "mountain" particularly hazardous. Unfortunately, I had little opportunity to try them out last year. But this year the trails were covered in snow & ice for several weeks. The YAKTRAK has performed very well, making walking on snow and ice feel like I was on bare ground. My only complaint is the largest size YAKTRAK Pro is an XL; I wear a size 13 medium walking boot and the XL is quite literally a stretch. Having the YAKTRAK in the car is much like having tire chains; it's insurance against slips and falls.

I use these for trekking back and forth to the barn during snowy/icy weather. The first two pairs I got each lasted about four years and were great. In the last couple of years, I've had problems with the wires coming loose and snagging the carpet runner when I put them on and prepare to go outside. I'm ordering yet another pair, but if I have the same problem with this pair, I may need to look around for another alternative.
Other than that, they are great, although they aren't necessarily foolproof on solid ice or in light, fluffy snow. Care is still required.

These work very well to provide traction on ice and snow on our sloped driveway when going out to get the paper or the mail. They are a bit hard to put on boots, and need to have the size marked on them. We have several pairs and it is hard to figure out which pair is what size.

I've found them indispensable in the North Country of New York State. We've had an ice storm already this year, which is why I initially purchased them. But we've received several feet of snow as well as some thawing, creating lots of ice throughout. Except when snow-shoeing, I've left them continuously attached to my snow boots for added traction on unseen ice while snow-blowing and shoveling. Though the recommended size for me was a medium (Men's 11R), I opted for the large size since I was putting them over snow boots. I've noticed no issues, and am satisfied.

Good quality. First time out in on a packed snow trail, the front of one kept coming up over my toe. Strange. Will have to play around with the looseness of it.

My husband and I received our Yaktrax for Christmas and because our weather held out we were able to walk almost every day at a park. We walked on snow and ice and blacktop. My husbands only lasted about a month. Mine broke soon after. So, we love them, just wish they lasted longer!
