Love these boots! A little expensive, but completely worth it. They've taken me longer than expected to wear in, but now they're really comfortable and look cute with more than I expected. Great for walking around campus and chasing zombies.

I love these shoes! They are perfect for my Daria Halloween costume! I get tons of compliments and they are true to measurements. I have wide legs and have trouble finding boots with a big enough shaft circumference and these did just the trick!

The boots look beautiful. The only negative is the break-in process. That was a bit painful! It only takes a day or two of wear, though. After that they're very comfortable!

Much better looking than the picture. Bought these for my daughter for her wedding, plan to switch the laces out. The soles are clear/yellowish, not as dark as they look. They fit very well, but we have been told that they need a little breaking in, after that they should be perfect.

Great boots! Didn't run large for me, but the stitching in the middle gets uncomfortable after a few hours. Look good with jeans and tights alike!

All the previous reviews about these shoes, are correct. They run big and they are very hard to break in. I still love them though. I have to put some insoles in them to make a little easier to break in. I get so many compliments on them whenever I wear them. I cant wait to break them in so I can wear them for long periods of time.

I love these shoes. I am on my feet most of the day, and I have to wear custom-made orthotics because of an arthritic condition in my big toe. These shoes are perfect; plenty of room for inserts or orthotics, look great for work or dressing up. Super comfortable.

Great boot for my 18 year old daughter and run true to size. I listened to some of the other reviews and went one size up and should have got her a US 7. Remind me of my youth in the 80's I wanted to put them on with a mini skirt and listen to New Order and the Cure all day long.

I love them. I bought them to wear to work because I work on concrete and the only problem I have had is coming up with more outfits to wear them with. Breaking them in wasn't much of a problem because I used "Wonder Balsam" twice daily and stretched them. There are good breaking in tips online and some crummy ones. I personally only used dry methods. Yes they do look like combat boots but they are still rock and roll.

Like others have said, they take about two weeks of solid wear to break in. But I wear them almost everyday with no problems now! They are great with skinny jeans, skirts, and dresses. The only pain I felt was behind my ankles when I was breaking them in.

These boots are fabulous! I'm actually still breaking them in (got a few blisters on left heel), but I can tell already that once they are fully broken in, they will be amazing! They're gorgeous, kick-butt, and really sturdy and well-crafted. These will last years and years. They are waterproof and slip resistant. It's become a fun ritual lacing them up (takes about 5 minutes). Love them! Worth the money! Thanks Zappos!

I love these boots. You must take care to break them in though; I did this by wearing them a couple hours at a time around the house, doing the occasional squat and bending the toes, for a couple of days. Then I moved on to short walks and outings, then slightly longer ones, and now I can wear them on all-night bartending shifts. They are totally comfortable, and best of all, not a single person will mess with you while you wear them. They are a good height for me and come slightly more than halfway up my calf, but I am quite tall (5'9"). If you're looking for boots for a Daria costume (part of the reason I bought them) these look perfect for people of my height. Shorter people might want to go for the 10- or 8-hole boots.

Love. Took a few days to break them in, but I work in the restaurant business and broke them in during a busy weekend at work, and now they are so awesome I feel like I'm flying when I wear them! Great tread for anyone considering them for a work shoe. Terribly comfy! They take a minute to get on and off because they don't have a side zipper, but in my opinion a zipper on a boot that already has laces is a cop out! Cheers!

I love these boots, although they take a really long time to break in, and they really hurt during the process. I am looking forward to cooler weather, so I can wear wool socks to protect my ankles.

My Black Docs just came in the mail today and I'll say, I'm in love! They are so cute & being obsessed with clothes I tried them on with everything. Flirty skirts, shorts, floral dresses, skinny jeans - and they look so great! I'll admit I was a little scared because I don't own anything like this kind of boots but they are just awesome! They are really stiff though but I ordered the Wonder Shoe Balsam also so I'm sure that will help. Plus the fact that I won't take them off I'm sure breaking in will take no time at all. Normally I wear a 7.5-8 but I read these run large so I went a size down. Ordered a womens 7 and they fit perfectly! Just some advice: Order them.

This is byfar the best thing I have ever spent money on. I have legitamateley worn them everyday since I bought them. They\'re extremeley comfortable and take little time to break in.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I fell in love with these the second they arrived. I just can\'t wait until the leather is fully broken in and I can walk up and down stairs without any rubbing, along with sore heels and ankles. Still, awesome. I highly recommend these.

These boots are the best! I searched high and low for boots that are trendy enough for skinny jeans and flirty skirts and dresses, but still punky and edgy enough to not look like everyone else on the street. They run a little large - I regularly wear a 7 and bought a UK 5 in these boots and they are still a bit loose in the toe area. And like other reviewers have said, take about a week or two to break in, but it’s nothing that a couple pairs of socks and bandaids won’t cure.

I loved the ease of ordering from your website. My daughter loved them on Christmas Morning. I ordered them one evening and had them the next day. I couldn't believe it. I would definitely order from Zappos again in a heartbeat!
