The boots are good quality, and just what my granddaughter wanted. My son, and daughter had a pair as teenagers. Dr. Marten has always been a good boot, and apparently is timeless.

Normally I do not order online , because I prefer to see the quality of an item with my own eyes. To have to send something back is only another inconvenience. I must say that all of my purchasing experience with Zappos has been most pleasant, both in the product and especially in their friendly and customer driven phone representatives. Without any hesitation I recommend you give them a try, assured of your satisfaction.

I bought half a size larger than my normal size because I wanted to wear thick socks for support and lining and I am glad that I did. I did not have to break-in these boots at all. The only problem is that I did not realize that I had this delivered to my daughter's university address, so it was a nice excuse to visit her.

I love my docs!! I was apprehensive to buy them because of all the horror stories I've heard about breaking them in, but it wasn't bad at all. It only took me a week and now they're comfy as ever. Buy them!!

These are super cute. You have to break them in first and they run big. They are perfect for fall and winter.

These boots look great. Classic style. Like others have said, they need breaking in. For me, there is a ridge that rubs the top of the foot near middle of the boot where the start, but I've been wearing big socks to stretch them out a bit. I have another pair of Docs that did the same, but now are perfectly molded to my foot. I also appreciate the ankle support with these boots. They are versatile, can wear them hiking or with a dress, great with many looks. I do wish I would have done my research a little better before purchasing as they have many different boots with the 1460 tag and I would have gone with the ones made in England (as I'm so old, I thought they were all still made there) but they've farmed the work out - and I don't love that, mainly because I feel like I can't trust the fashion industry at this point - words on paper vs the reality. I get that they have to stay competitive, but at what cost? Also, in my mind, the idea of these boots representing this subculture that is a bit rebellious or against the establishment/institutions seems a bit disingenuous now that the company is owned by an investment firm - meaning, I feel like I lost a bit of hope in the brand as far as the company goes. But I digress. Still great boots though. Overall, very happy with look and feel.

Spent the day at fright feast and boy was I happy that I was wearing my Doc Martens, I literally felt like I was walking on clouds and my feet didn't get sore like they do wearing regular shoes. (I wear a size 11, U.K. Size 9.)

Arrived in perfect condition, and lives up to Doc's high standards of perfect, soft leather. It'll take a while to break them in (but that's true of Docs in general). These shoes will definitely last a while and I would recommend anyone order from them from Zappos!

I am a size 11 and I cannot usually find my size in many stores and have to wear guy shoes but these shoes fit me surprisingly well and I will be buying again from Zappos!

I have always wanted these shoes. I couldn't find them in stores. Was so glad I fount Zappos! The shoes came on time. Looks great exactly like picture. Authentic and shipping was totally free. I order 4 pair of shoes from Zappos!

I bought these boots as a gift for my daughter and everyone she sees, loves them! They fit her perfectly and the price was outstanding! These boots are made extremely well and it looks like I'll be ordering a lot more of them from Zappos in the future!

These boots are super comfy and so cute. They fit nice and the quality is what you expect from Dr. Marten's.

Love these boots! I'm a 7 1/2 normal and these Dr. Martens don't come in half sizes. I think I should have gone with the 7 but with thick socks the 8 is okay.

I've now owned these boots (in green) for four years, and I couldn't be happier with them. They have been through it all: rain, snow, ice, dust, mud, gum, extreme cold, extreme heat, and probably more that I'm not even aware of. They have held up like a champ and still look great! I do polish them every couple of months, and I think that has helped with their durability. Dr. Martens' smooth leather polishes up very well, in case you were wondering. I remember when I first took them out of the box when they were new -- yes, they were stiff and creaky at first, but now they are like a second skin on my feet. Even though these are not made in England, they are still awesome! As long as you know what size you need, you really can't go wrong with a classic style like this.

I prefer Doc Martens for the excellent arch support and overall comfort they provide, as well as a wide range of fun and functional styles. This color looks great and tends towards navy if I am wearing blue, or black if I am wearing black. The bonus yellow laces that came included was a nice surprise, and have gotten compliments from toddlers to fashionistas!

I'm likely on my sixth pair of Dr. Martens, they're a staple. I bought this pair for my wife and they are her first, well, after returning a pair of the similar Pascal boot as it's finish was rubbing off. All in all she loves the look but is having difficulty with the break-in period, I just asked her if this was accurate and she said, "yes I can't wear them on my period but I like them, I like them a lot!"... so yes, there is some temporary discomfort that you work through as the boot shapes itself to your foot and eventually becomes like a second skin. I highly recommend these as there is nothing more versatile than a pair of Docs.

I love these shoes! True to size -- I'm a 6.5 in sneakers/heels and a 6 in boots, and I ordered the 6 -- and very durable. I'm still breaking them in at the moment, but even with terrible weather and mile-long walks these things are holding up strong. It helps that they're gorgeous, too!

I own the patent leather black pair and I love those and wear all the time! So I just had to have the red pair as well! Takes a few times to break them in but it is worth it!

Spectacular boots! My 16 year old daughter bought these for herself and absolutely loves them. She wears them with jeans and plans to wear them with skirts and leggings. Very trendy but yet comfortable.

I love these shoes! They run true to size (I ordered a size 7). The color is perfect and I love throwing them on with jeans or tights. It takes about a week to break the shoes in completely so I wore a pair of thick socks. Once they are broken in, you'll be glad you bought them!

I love my white docs! I'm still breaking them in and they start with that stiff work-shoe feel, but I can tell I'm going to be enjoying them for seasons to come. I like the way the smooth leather wears better than the shiny leather because it creases better. Classic docs have a dramatic style impact on any outfit and I've gotten a lot of compliments on them.
