French Sole Sloop!!! I LOVE these little flats. They are so graceful looking on my feet and cute with jeans or a skirt. I got them in two colors. Here is the deal though...order one whole size up, and then, if you can or if they stretch, put a Dr. Scholl's inner sole in them. They are flats with absolutely no support so by adding an inner sole, you end up with a cute comfy shoe. I wore them all day right out of the box.

Best flats I've ever owned - I've had these flats almost two years now...When I bought them, I was very concerned about the price, but they were the only black flats that looked JUST the way I wanted. These shoes DO run small and they DO require a break-in period! I would NOT recommend purchasing these for immediate heavy wear. If you need a pair of flats for a long-term relationship and have the time to break them in a bit slowly, you should be fine. They were very snug when they first arrived, even though I ordered a half-size up. I wore them around the house with a pair of medium thickness socks for about a week before wearing them barefoot for a full day at work. The first month or so they had tight spots here and there, but for most of the last two years I've had no complaints. I spray the suede regularly to keep it dark and protected. They have completely conformed to the shape of my foot and now fit like a glove. I took them to a shoe repair place a couple of months ago to replace the insoles and put a few stitches back in the bottom of each heel where they had worn the most. These still have plenty of wear left -- good because they go with EVERYTHING. If I had the extra cash to toss around, I would certainly buy these in brown and probably red or blue as well. Versatile, comfortable (after break in) and very classy.

:) These are my fifth pair of Sloops. They're the most comfortable flats for the price, and they feel like slippers on. The lighter colors tend to get dirty fast with regular wear, but if you only wear them once in a while and try not to get them dirty they'll be fine.

Very Pretty Little Shoe - I am very happy with these shoes! After reading all reviews I decided to order a half size up. I usually wear an 8 1/2 or a 9 so I ordered a 9. After a few days of breaking them in they feel great. I would definitely recommend these shoes as a simple, fashionable, easy to wear shoe for all occasions. One caution, those of you with bunions may not be as satisfied because of where the shoe hits the big toe. However, with Zappos wonderful return policy it never hurts to try!

Cute, but a little "tight" - Very cute shoes, I got the zebra print. For some reason I thought it would be white and black as opposed to cream and black, but still very cute. Shoes fit snug, but not uncomfortably so. I am pretty sure after I wear them they will stretch to fit my foot perfectly. Very cute shoe!

Beautiful Shoe - This is a beautiful and classic flat shoe. Buy a larger size than you normally wear because it is cut very small. I normally wear an 8 1/2. I ordered a 9 since I planned to wear this shoe without socks. The 9 was too small so I gave them to my daughter and ordered a 9 1/2 and that fit wonderfully. Very comfortable and looks great with skirts or jeans.

Buy them - These shoes are darling. They do run slightly small, so go up a half size!

Overall sizes are too SMALL. The design goes the opposite way on each shoe; so far no one noticed but me...unfortunately cannot wear when raining.

Love it in leopard - I ordered this flat in the leopard print after doing a lot of research. They are so cute and go with practically everything. I wear them all the time! I usually wear a 9.5 and ended up with a 10 in this shoe. Originally I had ordered a 9, but Zappos' exchange policy is so amazing, I was easily able to exchange it for a different size.

Disappointed - I have other flexible sole flats. These were a let down. The construction is good quality from Italy but the super thin sole on this shoe feels like I am walking on the ground barefoot. For the money, I feel it is not worth the purchase.

Love them. I have the hardest time finding shoes. I have a short wide foot with a skinny heel. These work great! I felt they were true to size unlike any other. They were a little tight at first but then stretched out and fit great after first wear. They go with everything. Have since ordered 4 more colors and want them all.

Cute shoe - It took three tries to get the right size--I ended up with a whole size larger than I normally wear--they are very comfortable for around the house--no support whatsoever!

French Sole suede shoes!!! Omg!! I just love these shoes...now have 3 pairs!!! Brick, black and red! They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn...like going barefoot!! But buy a 1/2 size larger than you usually wear...I almost always can wear a 7 1/2 but in these shoes I needed an 8...and I guarantee you will love wearing them and I adore the way they look...ordered red suede from another company but would have taken me forever to break them in!! I took these rights out of the box and wore to the mall immediately!!

Need some red ones - They do stretch out, you still need to buy a size up, but the tightness across the top loosens up. Back for a pair of red suede ones. The leopard print is now my favorite pair of shoes!

Almost Awesome - The shoe is definitely a cute and simple shoe. I purchased the bronze metallic in a size 8. I am a 7.5 but listened to everyone's reviews. Definitely order at least a half-size up. If you are on the larger end of your true size, a full-size up may work for you too. Initially the shoe felt SO comfortable. Soft and flexible. But, on my first full day of walking, I felt some pinching on the outer "knuckles" of the balls of my feet on the top. It is just the slightest bit narrow. Enough to feel a bit uncomfortable walking. I'm keeping the shoe though because I think I might be able to stretch them out with continued wear. They are not stiff, so this seems possible. Walk around your house in them for while before committing.

Not for those with bunions - Cute as anything, absolutely order a size up. However, if you have bunions, they cut across in exactly the wrong place. Trying my shoe stretchers with them, since I really like them and would like to keep them. Of course, if I stretch them out I guess I'll have to. Rather odd they should run so small; I have others of this brand that are true to size.

Great design, inconsistent fit - PLUSES: The design of this shoe is pretty basic. I find it fashion-forward enough to go with all my jeans and trendy designs, but simple enough to coordinate with my more conservative wardrobe choices. The price point is relatively affordable - the under $100 price tag is nice, but the design is not very complicated, & materials are average. As an ex-ballerina, I am constantly searching for shoes that are stylish, but that more importantly fit my bunions. This shoe works for me, but that may be more about the suede material which is very forgiving and stretches than that which can be attributed to the design. In any case, it is comfortable, which for me is paramount in any selection of shoes. CONS: the sizing is woefully inconsistent, which is sadly becoming the norm in this day and age of mass-manufacturing. I usually wear an 8, but twice ordered an 8.5 and in one case a 9. I guess that is of no major concern, what with Zappos' excellent customer service and ease with returns. All in all, I rate this shoe at four stars.

Great Shoe - This beautiful shoe is worth having in several colors. I have the black suede and the leopard print. I am going return the violet suede---not because I don't like it, but because it isn't significantly different from the black suede, and I would rather spend my shoe budget on something else. Zappos generous return policy helps me build the best shoe wardrobe for me. This shoe runs a full size smaller than marked. I had to order size 10 rather than my normal size 9.

I was warned that the shoes run small. They do live up to that reputation. I am patiently waiting to break them in, good thing they are adorable.

Displeased - Shoe was flimsy, overpriced, and a size too small. I always wear a 7 1/2. This 7 1/2 was a size too small, and I'll have to return anyway, but the shoe is not worth the price.

Buy large - This is a cute shoe, but runs very small. Based on other people's comments, I ended up buying a half size larger, but was still too small, so I gave them to my sister who is a half size smaller than me. Buy a full size larger. She said that they did stretch and now are comfortable.

French Sole's Sloop is a great shoe for fashion... I found this shoe to fit a half size smaller than my normal size. It is a soft, comfortable shoe, although there is little support. I look at this shoe as a fashion shoe, not a walking shoe. There are many choices in color and pattern and they fit in perfectly with today's demand for attractive flats.

Very comfortable - I ordered an 8.5 and I normally wear a size 8, they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. Definitely a great weekend/casual shoe!!
