I adore them - These are the most elegant little shoes ever. Based on reviews, I bought a half size up and they fit like a suede glove.

French Sole Sloop - best affordable ballet flat - I have been on a search for the perfect affordable ballet flat (which seems to have lasted years!) My search is now over. The extra duty and tax I paid as a Canadian customer were totally worth it. The Sloop is extremely comfortable right out of the box, stylish, available in an array of colors, and offers complete toe coverage (its best feature in my opinion). Do make sure to size up half a size. I am usually an 8.5 but sized up to a 9. I have the Sloop in pewter, black naplak, and red suede. Be aware that the suede is very difficult to keep clean. Another thing to keep in mind... they have ZERO arch support and walking on any gravel can be rather uncomfortable.

Cute, but made my joints ache! These are really darling flats, but they should be listed as slippers, not an outdoor shoe; they offer zero support. I don't usually have an issue with thin- or flexible-soled shoes, but these shoes offer so little between my feet and the ground that my heels, ankles, and knees ached for days after wearing them (I walked about 20 minutes in total throughout the day). Granted, they did not irritate my small bunions and fit comfortably right out of the box, but this is definitely not a shoe that should be worn if you plan to do much besides sit around.

Bought these in red, because every woman should own a pair of red shoes, or so says my mother. Anyway, these shoes live up to their reputation. Super comfortable, although I wouldn't recommend them for walking long distances. The style is classic, so they go with everything. Definitely order one size up as they run small.

French Sole Sloop - Really cute. They were a little tight when I first put them on but a half size up would have been too large. They stretched to size after a couple of wearings.

Wow... best flat ever had! I have never had flats that were this comfortable and for this reason haven't worn flats too often. Well, that has changed with this one! These are just the most comfortable flats ever and well worth the price. I bought the bronze metallic because I thought it looked very 'hip and cool' in the online pictures. In reality, it isn't really too metallic looking but it is a really cool look. Kind of looks like an antique leather. A very unusual color and look which I love.

Cute Shoe - Very cute shoe, but takes some breaking in time. Has zero support and you will feel it if you walk around a lot. Despite everything, I wear these shoes quite a bit. And I will order more colors. Oh yeah - go up half a size!

Greatest. Shoes. Ever. I love these shoes. They are so comfortable and they never get stinky like other flats. I have 3 pairs of French Sole's and love them. The sloop is about a half a size small, so order up.

Super cute shoe - Very French. The inside binding of the top of shoe was very irritating at first, but less noticeable after a few wears. I bought the zebra print, it has the feel of the current season's A.P.C. zebra print flat, for a few hundred dollars less!

French Sole's Sloop flat shoe - Very pretty ballet flat. Great with linen pants or skirts but not a shoe to wear outdoors as it's too delicate.

Goes with practically anything - Very cute and versatile shoe.i originally ordered a full size up based on the reviews-I wear a 6 1/2 usually,sometimes a 7 and it was too large. I returned it for a size 7 and it fit perfectly. I would like to get them in other colors as well.

French Sloop - Love this shoe - Now have 3 pairs - They look terrific, are so comfortable yet stylish and I continually receive compliments. So many colors to choose from that I will probably add another pair. I ordered a half size larger than usual.

Watch Out: some fit, some don't. Let me start with the good: 1) They look great. 2) The suede is very soft and break in right away. Now, the bad: 1) They have no support whatsoever. None. 2) The ground feels very hard under your heel. You will not want to wear these if you plan to do any excessive walking. Even moderate walking. 3) I got two colors in the same size. One fit and one was way to big. So I ordered another size. Here's how it turned out: For Anthracite, 8.5 is perfect. In Black, 8 works. But these are small complaints. These are, after all, flats. So I'm keeping both because they look great. And sometimes (only sometimes) that's more important than comfort. I prefer to have both, but when there's no alternative, it's sometimes worth compromising.

Cutest shoes I own - I ordered then a 1/2 size bigger due to the other reviews and I probably could have gotten my normal size. I love the look and wish I could get them in every color.
