Best ballet shoe/slipper! Got it because of the other reviews and I wanted a shoe like this. Out of the box it was very tight across the foot but after wearing around the house for 1 hour these did stretch to a comfortable wearing shoe. I have other ballet slippers and I think this will fit better over time and work better for me. Now considering other colors!

These shoes are so cute. I really wanted them to work. They were just too tight across the top of the shoe and too short. They are not true to size. Might try a half size bigger.

The only problem I have with writing a review about these shoes is that I only have 1,000 words to express how awesome they are. Comfort, style, and surprising durability all fall under the umbrella of description for these flats. I literally wore these shoes for two weeks straight after receiving them in the mail and they still look as good as new. If you haven't already bought these shoes, then all you are doing is denying yourself one more minute of happiness that you would have if they were on your feet right now; and I assure you, if you owned them, they would be.

Oh, how I wanted to like these. I have a bunion on one foot, and I need to find shoes that go over that portion of my foot, rather than cutting across that area. These looked like they would be a high enough vamp, but alas, this was not the case! Right across the bad part of my foot, so back they go. I was surprised as I'd heard these were very good flats.

Will be returning this shoe. And that is too bad. The shoe hits my foot at the base of the big toe where my years of life in ski boots has created a bump. Too bad. Because these shoes instantly speak of this company's passion for great ballet flats. Wonderful leather, wonderful design for normal feet, beautifully made.

Love these shoes, this is my second pair and they are worth the money. They are perfect for cropped pants and jeans. As other reviewers have commented, they do require a breaking in period (I found only a few days) and they run a half size small.

These shoes are great. I am fed up with wearing heels and wanted a flat that is dressy enough to replace heels for a night out. These are perfect for that. They are very comfortable and I have received compliments each time I have worn them. I ordered them in black patent.

A very cute shoe, which is hard to find in flats. It felt tight, but soon stretched and molded to my feet. The first day was a little painful. I wear orthotics and went up a half size to accommodate them. I hope they last as they are a little pricey.

I absolutely love these shoes, amazing quality and fit. The only remotely negative thing I have to say is that I wanted a little more toe cleavage. I would suggest ordering them in your actual size and in half a size larger to see which fits best. They advise that these run small but I found them to run pretty true to size.

I love the look of this shoe. After reading the reviews I bought my actual size, but I think the fit is too tight, so I returned them to get a half size larger.

These shoes are so soft and comfortable and just seem to mold to your foot; sort of like wearing a glove. They are also very cute and stylish. They look great with jeans and my red corduroys. Great all year round shoe.

They seem very well made; certainly the perfect ballet flats (for me). I love the styling - very simple, very classic. They look great with skinny jeans. I searched all over for just the right ballet flats - these were it, no question. However, I am sending my 7½s back for a size 8. I tried them on and the 7½ was just too tight. This is the most comfortable ballerina flat I have ever bought! I want every single color! If you, like I, have not found the right fit that does not crunch that little toe - you just found it! Runs true to size - nice and roomy in the toe box. A real find!

This is my second pair of French Sole. I happen to love them! They are very flat which I do not mind. My other pair is a red croc pair which I get a lot of compliments, but I couldn"t find those. Black is fine. It goes with anything. I love shopping at Zappos. Free and fast shipping!

Love the Sloop! This shoe is so comfortable and easily breaks in. Perfect flat! I am going to order more colors. I am usually a 10, but an 11 in flats. The 11 was huge. So, I sent back, (Zappos has the best customer service) and got the 10. It felt a little snug at first, but after the first wear, they slip on and off great. I love them! Highly recommend.

Super comfy. My toes are close to the edge but I listened to the other reviewers who bought their true size. I'm thinking it'll stretch in a couple of weeks.

I read through a lot of reviews about this shoe before purchasing. I need a shoe that was fast to break in, wouldn't cause blisters, and would be comfortable enough for my commute. Despite other comments about the support, I purchased these anyway. These are really cute, break in really fast, but everything that everyone has said about the lack of support is the truth. I've never, ever, ever worn a shoe with so little support in the sole. These actually are like a slipper, and I love them for that, but after a few days of commuting, my heels hurt. Another reviewer noted that they could feel everything on the sidewalk, and that is exactly true -- if I step on a cigarette butt or a little pebble, I can feel it and it hurts my foot. So...really cute, great for wearing in the office, but not great if you need them for walking a lot outside. Also, I normally wear an 8.5 and I ordered these in an 8 based on other reviews, which was the perfect size.

These are simple but sophisticated flats. I love the black suede. I wear them to work nearly every day and I work with elected officials. They're also cute enough to dress up a pair of skinny jeans. Most comfortable shoe I own by far. They're pricey but you pay for good quality here. Also, order half a size up and you should be fine.

These are great shoes!! They work well with everything and are so comfortable. I liked them so well I ordered them in other colors too!

So cute! They wear out quickly though but still totally wearable. They look beat up but once you wear them they're so comfortable! They take a couple days to break in, but once you break them in, they're so comfy! They go with a lot of things, I wish Zappos could stock these in nude! They'll completely cover your toes which I like. They look somewhat conservative though, but I don't like low cut flats that show your toes.

I love the French Sole Sloop, they are cute and comfortable - like slippers. I have a pair of these in another color and I have worn them so much that I decided to get another color. The chocolate brown is beautiful, I did have to size up on this pair which I did not have to do on my first pair. I am normally a size 6½ and I ordered a 7 which was still a little snug but I knew they would stretch out a enough to be super comfortable.

Beautiful quality shoe but runs way small. I'm normally a 7.5 and the size 8 that I ordered was still way too tight.

I am sad to say that this shoe is not what I had hoped for, nor what I paid for. It looks good, and with stretching, feels good. However, the inner footbed lining has pulled away from the seams, and it keeps pulling out whenever I walk, or even take the shoes off...it drives me nuts! Now, do I try to return the shoe for another pair, in case it's just a freak problem? Or take them to a shoe-maker and pay him to try to glue it down? Probably pay a shoe-maker to fix it, and hope that I don't feel the edges inside the shoe when he is finished. Either way, for this much money, I shouldn't have to make that decision.

I bought these shoes against my better judgement (after reading the reviews and scoffing at the price). I thought I would give them a go for some nice flats to wear at work and on the weekends. They were cute and just what I was looking for, but the size was way too small (I am a general 9 across the board - sometimes 8½, but rarely) and they are sort of cheap looking for the price. I am disappointed. I am thankful for free shipping and free returns because these pups are going back!
