Runs really small. I normally wear 8.5 or 9; ordered an 8.5 and couldn't even get my foot in the shoe. Order at least a half size up.

I've purchase French Sole a few years back, I am so disappointed with the quality of their work. I purchased the shoes in velvet, leather black and silver and the quality of the shoe was poor and they run small.

Total, absolute sham of a ballet slipper. I can't believe I spent full price for these. Two weeks after I bought them, the suede split along the sides (and of course, since I've worn them, I can't return them), and the shoes look like a mess. They're unwearable. Never, never again, French Sole.

I really wanted these to work because I think they are lovely. So let me save you some heartache by giving you some advice. They are true to size, especially if you walk around in them for a day. However, if, like me, you have a fairly square toe box, they will rub across the top of your big toe. No matter how much they stretch in the body of the shoe, they will not give around the top collar. I also tried a half size up, which felt better around on the top collar. But then they were too long in the toes and the top of the body buckled and looked silly. Bottom line, if you have a square toe box, keep shopping.

I realize this shoe is designed to fit like a dance shoe, but it was too tight, and not long enough to stretch to fit comfortably. I will try one size up when the size becomes available because I really love the look of this shoe!

I wear an 8 narrow. I ordered the 8 because the reviews said this shoe stretches and should be tight. It was very tight. I ordered the 8.5 and love it. It is still a little tight but doesn't pinch my feet. This is a shoe that is perfect for narrow feet. I love the way it looks on my feet.

After much debate I ordered these shoes and wow, was I disappointed. Upon opening the box I thought, "This price for these? You have to be kidding me!" They are no more comfortable or better constructed than the inexpensive leopard flats I was hoping to replace. Save your money; these are not worth the price.

I wear a 9 or 9.5 so I ordered the 9 hoping it would stretch. However, it was too tight so I returned it for a 9.5. The 9.5 is still tight but it feels like it will stretch. It better; these are not cheap shoes! But I love the style and the leopard print. They are not for long walks however; they have little padding on the bottom so it's almost like being barefoot.

Great shoe! Super comfortable but it runs small so make sure to order at least a half-size up than what you normally wear. I usually wear a size 10 so I ordered an 11 and it was perfect.

I love these flats. I'm usually a size 7, and while snug the first day, were fine after a few days of wearing around the house. Like others have mentioned, they have little in terms of arch support or cushioning, so if this is a must for you, they might not be the best choice.

I did notice with these that if you have narrow feet they may feel true to size. However, I have wider feet so I'd say order a half size larger.

I'm on the search for the perfect suede flats. These are going back. Here's why: -no heel at all. The shoe is totally flat, which is hard on my calves. Maybe that will work for you. -the vamp part of the shoe came up too high on my foot - I like a shoe that's a bit lower cut at the toes. -a very, very thin sole. I want to be able to do some walking and standing, and these did not feel good on a hard surface. -very thin material. I can see what people mean about the shoe stretching out as it's broken in. -it sits high on my heel/ankle. In just a few steps, I can tell it's going to rub a nasty blister into my foot.

Even though this shoe is comfortable I don't think it's worth the price I paid. The sole feels cheap and kind of flimsy. For the money I paid I really had high expectations for this flat.

These are the best flats I own. I highly recommend ordering a half size smaller since these do stretch to your feet. They don't have arch support but you hardly notice as they still so incredibly comfortable. I also have the Zeppas. I love these flats! I am and active person with a bit if back trouble and these are my go-to shoes.

Ordered my normal size but was incredibly too small, would recommend going up a half to a full size, maybe something lost in conversion of European sizing to US sizing. Cute shoe, seems like in the proper size would be comfy and pretty.

I was hesitant about buying a pair of flats for this price, but I will have to say that I have quite enjoyed them and do not regret the purchase. I initially had an issue with the foot bed liner coming up in the front. I actually had to return a shoe, which Zappos replaced without a blink of the eye. After a few months, I did have the same problem. I took them to my cobbler and he reattached the liner, much better than new. I really enjoy these shoes. I was nervous about them stretching out with all the leather, but they have held true to size and fit like a glove right out of the box. I will definitely be getting another pair this next spring, in another color, of course!

After reading many reviews I ordered my true size and they fit perfectly. A little snug at first, but after the third or so wear they were perfect. I never buy expensive shoes but I'm so happy I bought these! Well worth the price.

Love these shoes! Felt quite snug when I first put them on, debated on returning. However, went with previous reviews and kept them. They truly mold to your feet and are very comfortable. Flattering on foot and color goes with most everything. Minimal arch support. True to size.

I am a teacher, and I bought this ballet flat to complement my work outfits -- they're cute, stylish, and COMFORTABLE! I feel like I'm not wearing anything at all. I highly recommend these and will be buying several more colors! They run a full size small though, so order up ... I'm an 8.5 to a 9 normally and had to get a 9.5.

I love the shoes, but sadly too narrow for my feet. So will have to return - I love Zappos will have to find a flat that caters to my D width. :)

I took the advice of the reviewers who suggested buying the size you normally wear because the shoes would stretch to fit your feet after a couple of wearings. They were right. A bit tight at first, but after two wearings they fit perfectly and are very comfortable.

I started with my regular shoe size and that was too small. I ordered half a size up, and that was also too small (too short in length. I am trying a full size up next. These shoes are so cute and perfect classic ballet flats, I hope to finally get a pair that fits.

Super comfy shoes and I am really picky! I did have to return my original order of a 9.5 and order a 10 as recommended by the other reviews but I am hard headed too! Anyways, I love these shoes, I even got another pair in black and want to get a few more pair in other colors. These are not good for walking on rocky surfaces, but other than that, these feel like slippers! They shape to your feet and there is no rubbing, pinching or anything. For sure one of my favorite pair of shoes!

Very cute, but they run small. In ballet flats, I typically where a 9 or a 9.5. I bought the 9.5 and they were much too small. They're also great for narrow feet, which I have.

Great flat! Just a half size too small. Am returning for half size larger. I need absolutely flat, so no arch support is what I was looking for!
