I really wanted these shoes to work! The reviews were mixed about the fit, but I gave them a try anyway. Sadly, they really do run about a size smaller than what I normally wear. There is no way I could even pretend to walk around in these for a week or so to break them in hoping they would stretch. Back in the box they go.

Loved this shoe online. I ordered it a full size larger and it was still too small!! FSNY really need to revisit their sizing metrics.

The shoes runs extremely small.

simple basic black flat. I liked the look and it could be dressed up or down. Unfortunately it runs small. I wear a size 12 and the largest size marked as a 12 does not fit, so I am returning.

Well made with beautiful Italian leather. Nice large toe box. Very flexible sole. The only thing is deciding if the seam around where the foot slides in will loosen enough to not push into the skin so much? Other than that they are pretty ballet flat.

These are the best! I bought my first pair in 2008 for a trip to Asia. I wore them non stop and just finally decided it was time to get a new pair. They are comfortable walking shoes when you want to look a little put together- but also great day to day flat. the inside is all real leather so they breathe like a dream- no sweaty feet in summer! They should be super tight when you first put them on. wear them for short bits until they stretch out .... then once they are broken in you are good to go for years. Think like a ballet slipper that is crazy tight at first and then the leather stretches out to mold to your foot. I can't even believe the miles i have put on these- while I love them at home and on weekends I also have utilized them like mad when we have traveled because they go with everything and dress up or down perfectly. Of course we do tons of walking when we travel and these were my go to. I like the patent leather black and repurchased that same one due to its go with everything appeal. Im not a huge fan of the suede look so the patent suited me. I have an expensive pair of gorgeous Tory Burch flats that have not seen the light of day since I found these guys. buy them tight and enjoy! worth every penny!

The Zappos box had these in a plastic bag rather than a box. My foot is a size 11 or a 42. These were too long, too shallow (not enough height for my big toe without making a bump), pressed in on the skin at the joint of toe and foot. The red is really bright. Like wearing a fire engine on my already big foot. Going back.

I would not recommend these - as some reviewers had mentioned, they are tighter fitting at first. However, aside from that, the style and support is really not there for as much as these cost. They come too far back on the front of the foot - definitely NO toe cleavage here - and they unfortunately looked like sad orthopedic shoes on my feet. While I know that flats in general are not the most supportive, there really isn't anything there at all either inside or cushion in the actual sole of the shoe. I had tried these because so many had raved about them, but I will absolutely be going back to my Yosi Samra flats and saving some money as well! This is a beautiful shoe--lovely color (sand) and soft leather. It is, however, too short. I wear either a 5 1/2 or 6, but this size 6 feels like a size 5. I returned the shoe and may order a larger size.

No support. The leather is also apparently genuine, as the smell was powerful when I opened the box. Other reviewers suggested purchasing your true size and stretching them. I bought my true size, and they are very tight. Between the time (and pain) it would take to stretch them and the lack of support, I decided to return.

These shoes are excruciatingly small. I normally wear a 10 and ordered an 11 because of all the reviews all over the internet. The 11s are also too small with no hope of having them stretch out. I felt like one of Cinderella's wicked step sisters. The quality is beautiful, so if you can find the right size I would still recommend.

Great quality shoe but these run very narrow.

I have been buying FS/NY for years...and this model many times. This shoe was very tight...maybe a bad "batch".

I got the sand color; the black sole on such a light show is odd but I actually like the look it sort of grounds the shoe and keeps it from looking like a slipper. These are very sleek and even elegant looking for what they are - none of the slumps look many typical ballet flats can have, very slim to the foot. The footbed isn't especially padded but it's substantial enough to be quite comfortable. My feet are more on the narrow side (although not enough to need an A width) and I bought my normal size (10). They were slightly short at the heel until I wore them a few hours and now are perfect. Because they stretch I am not sure sizing up is good advice - maybe if your feet are wider.

Ouch! I love the look of these shoes, but man, are they too small. I followed the advice of one reviewer, who reported that the staff of the flagship store suggested ordering in your regular size even if they feel a bit small at first. I could barely get my feet in these. Sending back and ordering a bigger size.

Beautiful shoes, but too small. Other reviews said to buy your normal size and they would stretch after a few days... this did not work for me, and now I am stuck with shoes that are too small and can't be returned because I wore them.

For $130 I shouldn't have to wear these for several days to stretch them to fit me. I had a hard time justifying 130 for a ballet flat in the first place. These are the most uncomfortable shoes at any price I've ever bought. Adorable but they dig into the top of my foot, the back of my heel and my toes are wedged at the tip. I am a 7 1/2 or 8 and I bought the 8. Waste of money, Would return them if I could but like one reviewer said I wear them for a few days and stuck heel pads in them and still painful.

This shoe was exactly what I was looking for. The only downside is that it doesn't have much in the way of arch support or cushion, so as-is they bother me if I'm on my feet a lot in them. I need to look into inserts for them as those could turn the feel of this shoe from a 4 to a 5.

Having danced for about a decade myself, I agree with the reviews from the dancers: These are essentially ballet slippers with a slight rubber sole. Order your true size and they WILL be tight the first day or two, but then they mold to your feet and feel like you aren't wearing anything at all. This is great for people who are comfortable walking barefoot (but if you need arch support, you won't find it here). I wore these into the ground on a month-long trip to Europe, and they were durable enough to keep going for about a year before I had to replace - they would have probably lasted even longer had I not gotten the suede, and hadn't been hit with so many unexpected rain showers (they can take a little water, but too many soaks isn't great for the leather...). They are very well made and I would imagine they would last many years if you didn't abuse your feet so much.

I love French Sole sloop shoes -- I have 4 of them. Beware: there is a width difference for the same size shoe. I'm having to return this pair even though it's the same size as my other pair. This pair 1/4" more narrow.

runs super small! Thought I knew this brand but I was wrong on my size.
