These shoes fit but are so heavy that I wear them for short periods of time. I do like this brand over all.

The tongue area of the shoe was very uncomfortable, actually cut into my foot. The shoe is very stiff and unforgiving.

I am a little frustrated. I have two other pairs of the same shoe only they are a few years old and lasted very well and fit extremely well. Only I can't find a pair to fit. The 10.5 are too small and the 11 are too big.

I wear a 17 and had never tried Keen shoes before. I loved the wide toe box and the length felt right but had way too much heel slip to keep. Unfortunately, they don't make half sizes this large.

I really wanted to like this shoe. It\'s very close to the perfect lightweight hiking shoe, and I\'ve owned many. However, at least for my feet, the sizing is all wrong. I typically wear a 13 to 13 1\/2, but occasionally buy 14s because I have high arches and wide feet. I purchased 14s, and they weren\'t close. I\'ll likely return for a 15 to see if that works, which would make it the first pair of 15s I\'ve ever owned.\r\n\r\nThe only major issue unlikely to be resolved with a larger shoe is the complete lack of arch support. Different brands have different arch standards, but given the reviews here, I expected at least some. There was none.

Tried them on and sent them back. They were too wide for my feet and I didn't like the lacing system.

Runs small, no 12-1\/2 available. My third pair of Keens, and I haven\'t been impressed with any of them. So much for trying to be trendy.

I've had two pairs of these. The first was an 11, when they wore out I figured I'd buy an 11 again. No dice. They didn't fit, way too small. I then got the 11.5, still not deal. They didn't fit either! I ended up getting a 12 which fit great (when I normally take an 11 shoe). When my 12's wore out, I went on Zappos and got a 12. They didn't fit, too big as massive heel slippage. So I returned those and ordered the 11.5, and even though they fit, I still had heel slippage, even with them as tight as they could go to the point where it was uncomfortably tight. I'm bummed because I love these shoes, but it seems like their sizes are all over the board. I'm going Merrell instead.

After 1 season of heavy hiking the sole has separated from the uppers and the tread is falling off the shoe. Very comfortable, just not durable.

I'm guessing all of the folks who review these so highly have good arches. I don't, and they are almost more than my flat feet can take. I purchased this shoe in the color "peacoat". When it arrived and I saw that the shoe was blue, I was taken aback for a moment, but that makes sense with the name in retrospect. I was just confused because the picture did not lead me to believe it was a blueish colored shoe. They look great though, especially with blue jeans. I kept them. Happy surprise. Not super impressed with the shoes, but they are okay.

I\'m returning these because they look and fit like boats. The heel seems to be almost as wide as the very wide toe box. I would keep them if the heel were more narrow.

Watch the size when ordering! I tried some Targhee II's on at a local outdoor shop. They had my size, 11 1/2, but they didn't fit, too tight, they didn't have any 12's in stock. So, I got on Zappos and bought the 12's. I never wear 12's, and yet they're still too tight, may not work out. My wife has owned Keen's for many years and has been very pleased with them, my first try.

Not sure yet - I live in my Keen Austin’s so I bought these. Unfortunately I'm not as thrilled with these -- it is perhaps more my fault than Keens fault. Here are my reasons. 1. They have a different footbed that feels smaller and tighter, even with thin socks 2. My feet get really hot in these shoes. I'm just not sold on the waterproof/breathable thing yet. If you want a cool/wet weather hiker, these could be great. But they're too hot for a summer shoe. I'm still hooked on Keens, but I think I may have made a bad choice with these.

I wanted to wait until I had a chance to try these on the trail before I wrote a review. I took these on an 8 mile hike thru the Smokey Mountains in the cold rain and snow. They are absolutely waterproof. The grip is pretty good. The looks are okay. However, you WILL NOT ever be able to tie them tight enough. My feet slid all over the bed of the shoe even though I had on 2 pairs of socks. Going down the mountain for the last couple miles was torture! Very disappointed with the purchase.

One of the best fitting shoes for my foot (roomy) toe boxes, regrettably the soles (side) began to detach within a few months of use. By moderate, I didn't even hike in these, just walking a few miles a day 5 days a week on man made surfaces and light yard work. Keen did warranty the shoes and sent me a new pair (credit given to chose whatever model i wanted of equal value). Shame about the durability or else i would have found a shoe for life.

I have been wearing a pair of Targhee ll shoes for years, and loved them. Extremely comfortable and durable. This pair has a different insole that I find very uncomfortable. It is soft sponge material that allows the side lacing supports to cut into the sides of my foot. I even tried ordering the “upgraded” insoles from Keen, but they are the same soft material. I guess it’s time to try another brand.

I used to love Keen - it was my only hiking boot and I’d never consider switching. I’ve owned 5 pairs in a row and I have to say that I’m never buying them again. In the past few years I’ve noticed that the tread was separating from the bottom of the shoe. It starts with the bits that wrap around the shoe and gradually includes the bottom rubber. With the first pair, I thought it was a fluke and/or age/wear so I got another new pair. Within 3 months the same thing started happening. I contacted the company and they told me this happens sometimes… to purchase some barge cement and make the repair. Having loved Keen, I did just that. As expected, the repair didn’t hold. I went through an entire tube of the cement on both boots and lo and behold, I couldn’t return/exchange them. I’m not taking another chance. I’m guessing they’ve let quality slip so I’ll move to another brand.

The shoes seem fine, but there is a problem with the tongue. It won't fit under the shoe sides and becomes quite unccomfortable after about 10 minutes. I am returning them.

I wear a 10.5 and these were an 11... length fit perfectly (as if they were a 10.5). Walked around the house for a few minutes and my feet were numb. Width was so tight, even with the laces opened. I don't understand, I've got a pair of Voyagers and Targhee III mid boots, both in 10.5, that I love and now I can't find anything that fits from Keen. Getting a lil frustrated...

This shoe substantially aggravated tendonitis. It could be idiosyncratic, the fact that this shoe caused me a great deal of pain until I made the connection between the discomfort and wearing the shoe daily. After NOT wearing it for a 24 hour period, my pain significantly decreased. I chucked the pair in the trash. I will say, compared to other wide shoes I've worn from brand known for their wide shoes, these felt off somehow, just not as comfortable. I would guess the issue relates to the footbed design. On a superficial note, these shoes are clunky looking with no design finesse.

I tried this shoe on at Dick's and had a good fit on the right shoe but when I went to try on the left it was very tight. Examining closer you could visibly see that the left shoe was not the same size as the right even though the tongue labels were the same on both shoes. I decided to try ordering from Zappos. I got the shoes and this time both shoes were tighter than they should have been for the size. Wherever they build this shoe the quality control needs some improvement.

Here's the problem. I think these shoes will be fine in the correct size. I ordered them in a size men's 9 1/2. I received them in size 8 1/2. Needless to say, they sere too small. I will reorder and hope to receive the correct size.

I should have read some reviews. Someone else said they felt puffy and that is spot on. Even though the shoe itself is very wide the interior was squeezing my foot from all sides. Same reviewer said they were walking out of them (heel not staying in) and that happened to me as well. I've never liked the 'style' of Keens but if you want your footgear to rock the Pinocchio or Mickey Mouse look, Keens fit the bill.

Many reviews said to order a half size larger as this sku runs small, so I did order the half size larger than my normal size. The shoes arrived promptly but they were way too large so I sent them back and a new pair in a smaller size was on it's way to me. Kudos to the agent who made sure I got the same discount as I had on the first pair and the new pair arrived just a few days later. Unfortunately, the new pair in a half size smaller felt pretty much like the first pair. Again, there are hundreds of excellent reviews on the Keen Targhee II so maybe I just have odd shaped feet. I love the look of the shoes but the design seems poor to me. I feel like my heel is slipping out as if the shoes were a size too large and the sole feels to rigid. It seems like it's mainly due to the design of the tongue. It seems like it should be attached closer to the top of the shoe. I can push the tongue so that it's fully within the top of the shoe and snug the laces over it but as soon as I take a few steps it pops right out and it feels like I didn't tie the laces snugly. This is also what makes it feel like my heel is slipping. I did keep the shoes as I didn't want to send them back again, I'll try some heel inserts and a sole insert to see if this helps.

This shoe is terrible for big footed people. Size 17 and they are so narrow they actually gave me big bruises on my toes. Something kept feeling like it was poking or stabbing me.
