Excellent hiking Boot! I wear 14s, had to order this in a 15 - the 14s felt a bit tight on the length (though ample in width).

They're great. I did buy a 1/2 size bigger per review--glad I did. I had them on in 10 degree weather and snow, I was warm and dry. They are worth the money.

I wear a 17 and had never tried Keen shoes before. I loved the wide toe box and the length felt right but had way too much heel slip to keep. Unfortunately, they don't make half sizes this large.

I really liked this shoe. However, when I purchased it, I was looking for a winter boot. This is made really well, but since it isn't insulated, it doesn't keep your feet warm. However, the shoe is really well made. Like all Keen shoes, it's got great traction and the added toe support is really nice. The footbed support is superb and definitely feels natural. The shoe is pretty light for its construction. The lacing system (and the laces) is really great, making tying very quick and secure. The waterproofing is really nice, and the gusseted tongue keeps debris out. I liked the styling of the shoe. It might be a little 'trailish' in pictures, but in person it really looks nice. I recommend the darker colors personally. I also always liked the way Keen soles look. I definitely recommend this shoe to anyone who needs a great waterproof shoe. It just isn't the best for cold weather since it is not insulated. It's got great support, traction, comfort, and features.

Excellent, comfortable, and waterproof. My foot is picky and while I have some wonderful hiking boots/shoes, I rarely wear them daily. These are too comfortable to deny daily usage. I have high arches and a wide foot, this wins on both accounts. I've tested the waterproof limits and they've succeeded. My one complaint is that the traction is not good. For being a waterproof hiking shoe, that's kind of a big deal. But they're great enough that I just keep that in the back of my head when traveling on iffy terrain.

This is a very nice shoe and very comfortable, though it does fit 1/2 size smaller than my usual size. Waterproof lining does keep your feet very warm and dry from the elements, but it does make your feet sweat some.

I'm convinced now that Keen runs small. This is the second pair I've had to send back from Keen for this reason. Otherwise, a very comfy shoe!

These shoes fit like my favorite already. Felt true to size 13. I ordered a 14 after reading all the reviews. Plus Zappos sizing chart also had me 12 inch foot, size 14. 13 for sure! Nike, Sperry, New Balance, Zamberland, White's Custom Boots all 13. First pare of Keens and won't be the last. Especially from Zappos. Zappos, on a NorthFace Denali purchase. Shipped out the rite size. It was at my door, before I could put the wrong one back in the box! Next day!

Shoes run small. Frustrating that they don't make half sizes for size 12 or larger.

I have worn the Targheee II for two years, and purchased a pair for best friend and for my son. Results? We love them. Husband has several pairs of Keen Hiker's and will take them on the Appalachian Trail next spring and Zappos is the only place we shop for shoes.

Great comfortable hiking shoe. I have owned a pair for 4 years. They wear very well and are all-day comfortable. Good protection from sharp rocks and good traction.

I just ordered this pair for my husband, his second pair. He bought the first pair 2-3 years ago and wears them 5-6 times a week. The seams on the toe were coming loose. These are by far his favorite shoe and his favorite shoe brand.

I love Keen shoes because they provide great arch support and cushioning. These are no exception. I wore them for two weeks as my main "get-around" shoes while in Europe. They are so comfortable! I wish Keen made women's shoes up to size 12--I would have bought the women's 11, but they are just a tad short. As it was, I got the men's 10 - and other than a tiny bit of slipping in the heel area, they are perfect. I highly recommend these shoes!

These are very comfortable and supportive boots. The shank provides excellent arch support, and the metatomical shaped footbed cradles the foot very well. They are very warm in cold weather and keep your feet toasty; however, they are not too hot indoors. They are waterproof from a Gore-Tex knockoff, "Keen Dry", which seems to ventilate the shoe adequately. I haven't had these very long, so I cannot say much about their durability, but they seem like they're made of quality material and will last at least 5-6 months, if worn daily. The rubber sole provides very good grip, at 4mm, and is comparable to a Vibram sole often found on Merrell shoes. These shoes will last as least as long as Red Wing boots before they need resoling (the Red Wings). I decided to get these at a fraction of the cost and replace them for what it would cost, approximately, to put a quality Vibram sole on a boot such as Red Wings. Therefore, I see them as worth the money, even though others complain about the sole wearing down too soon. I only use them for casual wear in the cold weather, but if you want a boot that lasts forever, only it needs resoled, prepare to spend quite a bit more. Otherwise, these will do, where you simply throw them away and buy a whole new shoe. Also, if you need a quality work boot, go elsewhere other than Keen. These are really only for casual wear and trail hiking. I think that's why many of the other reviews complain that these wear too soon and may break apart...they're not using them for what the shoe was designed to do; they're overusing them. Anyway, I hope I could steer people away if they're thinking of using this shoe as a work boot, like construction, mechanic, etc. Go to Red Wings! They're the best work boot you can buy and will last forever if you get them resoled periodically and maintain the leather uppers. Finally, these probably run a bit wide, because I have somewhat wide feet and they fit me perfectly; so, prepare to get a thick sock or go to another brand if you have narrow, long feet.

The sole fell apart, the lugs came loose. The upper came apart around the toe. In 3 months.

I live in Okinawa Japan, a land of varied terrain, to say the least. I walk 10 to 15 miles each day and ride a bike to and from work. I wear Keen Targhee II shoes during my walks, my bike rides and through out the day. I've been in Okinawa for only three years and I've worn out several pairs of Targhees walking in and on sand, salt water, lots of coral and pavement daily and all of it seems like I'm either going up or down hill. It rains several times a week here and I still walk still wearing Targhee II. I've been wearing these shoes for over five years and I've never worn out a single pair, though I do wear down the heels. When the heels are worn down and and the rest of the shoe is still in great condition I pass them on to friends that are always glad to get them. The Targhee II still looks good at that point and shoes have no visible wear. And I'm talking about after 3,000 miles of wear and tear over unforgiving terrain. I recommend these shoes to any and everyone I know. Thanks for a great product and outstanding service. Since I discovered Zappos and the philosophy driving the company I shop nowhere else for shoes, and I always check Zappos' web site before purchasing outdoor wear.

Okay, so I have purchased two pairs of these Keen Targhee II in different colors and I absolutely love them. All in all I have 4 pairs of Keens and these shoes are rock stars if you want waterproof, comfortable, nice looking, long lasting, incredible shoes. Zappos I am your loyal buyer for life! Go ahead and buy these shoes...you know you want to and you know you will be happy once they are yours.

I bought these shoes as a primary hiking shoe. So far, they meet my expectations. I haven't yet tested the waterproof feature. The overall fit is comfortable, but the heel is a bit loose (but acceptable). The treads are rigid, but comfortable. I feel that these shoes will meet my needs of moderate to vigorous hiking footwear, while providing comfortable protection on the trail.

This pair is my 5th. I wear virtually nothing else. Perfect in Colorado summer and winter. The laces give out after a while but not the shoe itself. Only one pair shows some marginal craftsmanship and is coming apart. I hope they never stop making them. High praise for the Targhee II

Happy with my purchase. I tend to need a wide, but the toe box on these shoes fits great in medium. Bought several other styles of Keen shoes based on my experience with these.

I love my Keen shoes! They are hard to find, especially in the correct sizes, Zappos allows you to try out different sizes, pick the one that fits and return the others and they pay for shipping. What a great way to buy shoes online!!

This is my 2nd pair of Targhee II\'s and I can say this, once you start wearing Keen\'s you\'ll never want to wear anything else. Could be tricky to get the size right so try them on in a store but once you know your size, you\'re good to go. Great support but feels like a sneaker. The waterproofing is great and so is overall quality.

Like the shoes very much. Fit true to size. Very comfortable. Only just got them so no info on how they'll hold up. Have another pair of Keens and love them too, particularly for the arch support. Shipping was unreal. Ordered Monday night; on my doorstep Tuesday evening. Don't really know how Zappos did that, and I didn't even request expedited shipping. Amazing is all I can say.

I first bought Keen Newport sandals about 5 years ago. It's the best fitting sandals I ever bought and still in great shape. I then bought Keen Waimea sandals and then the Mocs. I just received my Targhee II shoes and like everything else I bought from Keen, they fit great, are stable and comfortable. I went on a 3-hour hike in the Allegheny mountains the first time I put them on. There is no break in necessary. Keens rock.
