My 15 year old loves them. He has a slightly wide foot, though a slightly narrow heel. The structure and the cushioning are great. I hope they keep making this shoe for years. We'll keep buying.

Great shoes! I had a prior model for several years and ordered these as a replacement. The site said order a half-size larger than normal so I did. The old model was 10.5 so I ordered 11. They were too large, but returning and crediting back the account was no problem. I re-ordered the 10.5 size and they fit just right, just like the old model. This is a good shoe at a decent price.

Normally I take 13, probably 13-1/2 would do but had to get 14. Fit is fine. I like wide shoes as mostly I wear sandals and my feet spread out.

Love the shoe. But I’m a 13. And since these run small, I have to choose too small, or too big, since they don’t make a 13.5. Why not? Does it make any sense that hat half sizes are limited to people with smaller feet? Here’s an idea... just make the sizes actually reflect real sizes. Crazy I know.

Wear size 8.5, bought 9 due to recommendations here, which were absolutely WRONG. These Keens run wide to begin with, so sizing up means that normal width folks will be swimming in a half size larger, which means they will to experience pain in the ball and/or side of the foot. In fact, this shoe runs very true to size. I am between Med and Wide width, and these are plenty wide even wearing my normal size 8.5 (which I tried on in my local REI after returning these). So this “problem” is fixable by simply buying these in your true shoe size.
What is NOT fixable is one CRITICAL FLAW: having only 4 shoelace lugs. Terribly shortsighted of Keen to make a hiking shoe with limited ability to fine-tune lacing. Worse, the tongue where the laces cross after exiting the THIRD lug up has almost NO padding underneath, so when tightened, the lacing digs into the tendons on top of the foot. It’s quite painful. The TOP lug has leather underneath, so tying the knot is not a problem. The tongue padding is simply poorly designed. Way to cut costs, Keen!

My husband bought these to replace a pair of worn out Merrell hiking shoes. He wanted waterproof shoes. First time wearing them we hiked 2 hours and he said they were comfortable. No issues. Haven't tested the waterproofing ability yet.

Fit correctly and comfortable right out of the box. I have the High top boot version and have been very pleased with them.

I have owned maybe 5 pairs of Targhee’s. But for some reason these didn’t fit ...in the past they were great out of the box and this pair had a weird arch support on the outside of my left foot that didn’t feel right so I sent them back. Disappointing. This also happened to a pair of Targhee’s mid height boots that I bought while traveling and didn’t wear for a year or two. Now I have to try to find a new go-to-shoe. Going to try a pair of Ecco boots to see how they fit.

I love these shoes! I have a wide foot so women’s 10.5W are my normal size, sometimes I need 11W to accommodate my full-length arch inserts. These Keens fit me in a men’s 9.5 so based on that I say these may be a half size small when converted to women’s sizing since typically a men’s 9 would fit me. I decided to move away from my typical ankle-height work boot when I discovered my old ones were no longer waterproof. While these are somewhat stiff in the footbed, I really like the look of these. I appreciate that the rubber toe cap covers more of the shoe so they will last longer when I’m working on roofs and installing floor tile. I also like that they have mesh on the uppers but I don’t feel a breeze on my feet when I walk, so I can still wear them when the weather is cold. Now I need to get used to less ankle support on job sites with uneven terrain so I guess I’ll be upping my coordination effort when walking! I picked the one with navy in the color description and the only navy on it is the lining inside the shoe, and striping on the trim and laces. The navy is a minimal accent color in my opinion. The rest of the shoe is mostly charcoal grey solid with medium grey tongue and lace accents. The Keen logo is a yellowish-orange which gives the shoe an industrial/worksite-look.

This is maybe my 7th pair of Targhee’s. I love their as I have an E to EE width foot so the wide width option is perfect for me. I use them as walking shoes on concrete, asphalt and grass. They provide good
support, are relatively light weight and also have good wet traction. I prefer them to running shoes or other walking shoes due
to their more rigid structure. Obviously I like them or I would not keep buying them. The only drawback to these shoes is the
soles wear out quickly. I walk roundly 15-20 miles most weeks in them and the soles have wear pads that are gown when they
get to 500 miles. They are totally shot after 1,000 miles. Likewise the inner heal lining can wear out in the same time frame. The
frustration is that the uppers can still look great when the soles are gone. But all that said, the softer soles are awesome and I am willing take the trade off of a shorter life in return for greater comfort.

I love the shoes. Have had 2 pairs before this one. The last pair was an 11-1/2. Even the 12 in the new show seemed short. I tried the 13 and it was too big. I really needed a 12-1/2 but they only make full sizes after the 11-1/2. I kept the 12, hope it is not a mistake.

I read that they sizing was off so order just a half size larger, wrong going a full size larger. Very strange, have steel toe shoes (Atlanta) and fit great, walk miles and miles in them. Thanks to Zappos returns life is great.

I purchased the Targhee II and Targhee III (same size) after reading several reviews based on bunions. Even though many people felt the toe box was more comfortable in the Targhee II, it pinched down for me on top. I walked almost a mile in these and could feel a little soreness. The heel and fit seemed fine except for that. When I switched back to my Targhee III, my feet felt a lot better. I didn't even need to purchase the wide versions which is great as it keeps a better heel fit. Sorry, but I just did not like the fit of the Targhee II.

I've purchased and worn Keen Targhees for several years and always worn size 9 1/2. Most recently (Dec
'18) I ordered the same pair and found they were too small. I exchanged them through Zappos for a size 10 and the fit was perfect. So....not sure if that's an anomaly but you may want to consider ordering 1/2 size larger in that size range for a good fit.

These aren't the right shoes! The shoe I got has all sorts of keen branding on it. The shoe pictured here only has one place where it visibly says "Keen" on the heel. The shoe I got has a huge label on the side and on the tongue. The finger loop on the tongue is replaced with a label. If I wanted big labels I would buy a pair of Nikes. I returned 1 pair hoping it was a mix up, but the second pair arrived wrong too. Very disappointed! Sending back. I've been wearing keen shoes for 5 or 6 years, but never again!

This is the iconic Keen. If you were to sum up the Keen brand with one shoe, it would be this one. This is my third pair of Targhee's, and there's some things you should know. They don't do half sizes for people with large feet. I usually wear a 12, but their 12 is too tight. Jumping up to a 13 feels a little large at first, but after a few days, you don't notice.
I have had problems in the past with the sole separating from the shoe, hopefully I won't see that this time.
These are very warm. With a wool sock, they're comfortable in temperatures around zero. I find them uncomfortable to wear inside all day, they're just too hot. With a cotton sock, they're bearable, but still a very warm shoe. This is the price you pay for waterproofing.
And last, if they're anything like the last ten pairs of Keen shoes I've owned, they will eat their laces in about four months. Replace them with a better lace, or even a length of paracord and they're good to go.
