Great shoe. I am replacing the same style that I have worn several years and was very pleased to find that Zappos had them. I hope Keen continues to offer this style since I first found the III model and it did not seem to be of the quality of this model.

Finally found a great hiking boot. Light, supportive, and solid.

I needed a pair of over the ankle boots based on the hiking I'd been doing this winter. I was looking for a boot with a bit more tread, some ankle support and protection, and they needed to be fairly water-resistant. I had one pair of Keen shoes before I liked the fit so I gravitated to that brand mostly because I like my toes to spread out and Keen has a rep for a wider toebox. Out of the box, these boots just feel really good. I did find it took a couple of walk-abouts to get the lacing just right due to the thick tongue. The last loop/hook does have a cinch of sorts which holds the lacing in place while tying. Very nice feature. I have about 10 winter (i.e. cold and wet) hikes on these boots and they have met my hopes and expectations. The tread provides good grip (with one small exception...see below). The water "proofing" has been stellar. The protection for foot/ankle has met my expectations. My only gripe about these boots is that the side of the sole is rounded and when hiking hills at an angle they don't have an "edge" to dig in. If Zappos rated on Function I'd probably give it a 4 star. I do regularly pair these boots with gaiters which helps keep the snow/water out.

I bought a half size up, as a recommended, and they fit perfectly right away. This is exceptionally rare for me. These are keepers.

I'm loving these boots one week in. From day 1 they felt great and already worn in the cold/snow/ice and they kept me warm and dry. I walk around a lot during work hours in them and my feet feel great. I was a little apprehensive about not getting a wide size but I'm good. I always loved KEEN sandle and now I can say I love their boots! I can see myself getting a few years out of these.

The boots fit like a glove. No break - in needed. I would buy again.

Shoes are great, I've been a a buyer of Keen brand for years. The customer service and availability of shoes is what brings me back to Zappos. They accidently sent my boots to an old address, but Immediatly sent me a replacement pair and even paid the difference when the color I originally ordered wasn't in stock. Customer service was pleasant and incredibly helpful. That is why I keep coming back and recommend all my coworkers.

My first pair of Keens! Had to go down a half size from what I normally wear because Keens have a wider foot bed and toe box. Shoe fits my foot really well, lighter weight for a hiking boot, and they seem well constructed. No break in required.

I am a veteran auto mechanic of 21 years. I’ve been wearing boots for a long time. I’ve tried a lot of them. These are one of the best I’ve ever tried. I was a big fan of keen Detroit mid steel toe’s, but they don’t seem to make them anymore. These look pretty similar, so I tried them. I don’t HAVE to wear steel toe boots for my job, but I have for the last 21 years, and I’m pretty tired of them. So these soft toe boots are a welcome change. Much more flexible, much lighter, much easier to run around in, etc... I wear a size 13 wide, and I don’t know if it’s just me or what, but I have a really hard time finding boots that don’t hurt my feet. Usually they aren’t wide enough. If the company even makes a wide size, they usually aren’t wide enough. The keen size 13 wide Detroit mid steel toe boots always seemed to fit great at first, but gradually would get tighter and smaller as they wore in. Especially in the toe box. Not the case with these boots. I could tell already there’s plenty of room. I think maybe it’s just a problem with keen’s steel toe boots. They seem to run much smaller. I am going to buy another pair of these for after work stuff. Highly recommended trying these boots they are really comfortable especially if you have wide feet like me

Without a doubt these are the most comfortable shoes I've EVER had! No break in period at all. I actually forget I'm wearing them.at the end of the day. Not a better boot on earth!!!

I’ve had these before. I’ll get them again. On my feet all day I use these for work, walking and hiking. Zappos is always good to work with as well.

This is the second Targhee II that I’ve owned. Both are the most comfortable boot I’ve owned. Like it’s comfort, durability, style and extra width in the toe area. Recommend taking Keens/Zappos advice and order a half size up from your normal boot size, especially if you use inserts and thick socks.

I bought these for my boyfriend because I love my Keen’s. I have had them for about 12 years and they are barely worn anywhere. They are still a great hiking boot I use all the time. These boots are gorgeous!! I love them and he loves them.

Everyone said to order a size up. I disagree. They fit as they should. I wear a 13, and ordered a size 14. They were way too big, even with wool socks.

Ladies! Do you have small feet but too wide for women's hiking boots? I wear woman's size 6 ish but 2-3E due to bunions and high arch. Upon reading that Keen runs small in length, I took a chance on men's 7EE. They were PERFECT! Nothing rubs and they do NOT fit like clown shoes! Be aware the insole is VERY firm and might need a squishy topper for extra comfort if your soles are sensitive.

Amazing fit

These are light and very comfortable right out of the box. I love these because of the roomy toe box and the rubber toe that keeps them looking good. Highly recommend these. I've had 4 pairs of Keen boots and these are super comfortable.

I am glad I got half size larger per your suggestion. I walk daily , they are comfortable.

Great boots!!! The moment my husband put them on, he never wanted to take them off! They are super comfy, true to size and great looking! We LOVE our Keens and we LOVE you Zappos! You are the BEST!!!
