I bought the Keen Targhee II for a hiking trip to Utah and they were super comfy. You forget you have them on. I didn't even need to break them in. The bad? The keen bulbous toe is love it or hate it, but works great on the trail. Order a half size up though because they run small. Terrific shoe!

After trying on a pair of these in a local store, I decided to buy these boots for my trip to Ireland in March. I usually wear a size 11.5 and the store did have that size but it seemed I needed a half size larger. I went to Zappos and ordered the size 12 (for less money!). They fit great and are extremely comfortable. They are the only shoes I took on my Ireland trip where we did a lot of walking and sight seeing. My wife also bought a pair of Keen Voyageurs for the trip. She also likes those boots. We are now sold on Keen, they offer great arch support, are lightweight and very comfortable. I like them so much that I just ordered a pair of Keen shoes to wear to work every day.

This is my fifth pair of Keens, but my first of their boots. Just like all the others, they are the most most comfortable shoes (and boots) I have owned.

Was looking for lightweight hiking books with some ankle support after hiking in Keen's casual shoes in Sedona. These are perfect for what I'll be needing. The support of the sole is quite good. Very happy with them.

These are outstanding shoes for both comfort and function. I wear them in michigan where the winters are long and wet. The Keen Targhee II Mid have helped keep my feet both warm and dry this past winter. This is the second pair I purchased so that I can alternate them every other day.

Great boot, took up to Colorado and never had any issues while wearing the entire time there. Had problems with the previous model (glue and the sole coming apart) but these seem to have been fixed.

This is my first pair of hiking boots. The fit is great, I live in Florida and I am wearing them everyday. I bought these for an upcoming trip to Alaska.

Shoes are great! I love them! These shoes are better than my Wolverines and Timberlands, though take their advice when ordering and order the next size up. I learned that lesson. Thanks Zappos!

These shoes are great, since they started double stitching the leather a couple years ago they hold up for almost 2 years and stay comfortable all the way. I wear these everyday and put a lot of miles on them in my job.

I use these shoes for all long training days. I am a shooting instructor and I am on my feet for 8-10 hours. These shoes make it bearable to be on my feet for so long. The arch support is not particularly high, but for me they work. I have flat feet and these shoes make it easy to stand for extended periods of time. The toe box is generously cut. The shoe isn't a wide size but it feels like it could be. Traction is great and I can't feel any but the largest rocks underfoot. The lacing system is quick and efficient. There is a notch at the top of the laces that holds the laces in case they get loose.

Very warm and solid shoe. I wear in the snow every day (in Wisconsin) and I have been very pleased. For me it's a shoe to wear all day, so I wear it to come into work, and then wear them all day. They are very comfortable right out of the box too.

These Keens are the first boots I have purchased in a long time. I got them because I had some other Keen shoes I liked and because of some ankle pain I was having, I decided to try some boots for the added support. I've had them for about a month and I must say, they are now my favorite shoes and I wear them all the time. No more ankle pain either! I also have very flat feet and these boots don't bother my flat feet at all! Great shoes. I definitely recommend them.

For most of the year, I live in Keen sandals. The boots are just as good. Comfortable from the moment I put them on. Lightweight.

Like my other two pairs of Keens, these feel great right out of the box. Traction is good on both snow and ice, and wet tile floors. If you don't mind the quirky look of the Keen toe, get a pair of these boots. I bought the dark shadow which is a little darker than the picture shows, basically black.

These shoes changed my life. I have been limping around at work, every single day for the past 3 years. After about 2 hours my left leg would be in agony, the shin bone felt like it was fractured, and the bottom of the knee was under a lot of pressure and looked like it was torn (ACL). I wore these shoes and in 2 days all my leg woes were 90% cured. I have no idea how a shoe can do this, but it did. I have Type 2 Diabetes so I'll never be completely comfortable standing or walking for long periods. In fact a lot of Diabetics recommended Keen shoes, which is what influenced me to buy this pair. The best thing is how effortlessly I can walk. I think it has to do with the amazing arch support, as my foot just glides from heel to toe. I should mention though that I replaced the insoles with Dr. Scholl's gel insoles, as I do a lot of standing at work.

Great styling, comfort, and performance. What else could you ask for? Do yourself a favor and trust all the other great reviews on these boots... and buy a pair!

It took me two months to decide between a half dozen Keen styles, and I finally chose this one. This is my third pair of Keens, and they are all very comfortable - and the size and fit was perfect! Keen's styling is different, to be sure. But once you slip one on, you are hooked for life, and everything else in the shoe world looks dorky. Thanks Zappos! I love these boots. Lived up to their 5 star rating. Light, comfortable and a pleasure to wear.

I am a remodeling contractor and I am on my feet all day carrying heavy equipment and materials. My feet were always killing me by the end of the day. I have had these boots for over a month now and they are great! My feet feel great. These boots are so comfortable I don't even want to take them off at the end of the day.

I did the Milford Trek, 36 rocky miles up and down, and these boots were perfect. Not a blister the whole time and I never broke them in. I was nervous before the walk, but very pleased with the shoe. If you're carrying a heavy pack (ours were around 15 pounds) you might want a heavier sole, as I occasionally could feel the sharper rocks; but no pain and they held up and continue to do so very well. The also lace up easily and stay laced the entire time.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Read other reviews for sizing. I love the roomy toe box of Keens. Light weight. This is the third pair I have purchased.

Excellent lightweight boots! Comfortable fit, great tread design, and waterproof. Lace holders are a big help. Very good value for the price! (And my 5 dogs all approve.)

My 2nd pair of the Targhee II Mid. Very Rugged and dependable. Comfort is top notch. You can hike/walk and climb obstacles in wet conditions for 10 hours, stay nice and dry and have no discomfort whatsoever. Your feet will love you. I work in irrigation service industry, worst possible environment for any type of footwear. These shoes keep you dry and comfy, and they last.

These boots are great for long hikes, a day in class, or an 8 hour work day. They are waterproof and tough. They are very comfortable but are perfect for those of us among the working class. I highly recommend them.

Great light boot. Lots of hiking in both the desert and on the mountain in my area of Utah. No break in, good sole protection on the sharp rocks. As an experienced hiker/climber, this is just right for me in the light to medium duty hikes. Also, no pinching and room for the ball of the foot.
