Tested these out on a three-mile hike. They have a nice grip. Wore regular athletic socks. Feet weren't over heated. Ankle felt well-supported. Hiked around some waterfalls. I didn't fully test the waterproofing for a long period, but stepping through 4 inches of water my feet stayed nice and dry.

I’ve only owned these for about a month but I’ve been wearing them as my everyday work and snow boot since I got them. I ordered them a half size larger as recommended, but I probably could have gone a full size larger instead. Still, they’re pretty comfortable, my only complaint is that they smell pretty bad, which is something I haven’t experienced with my work boots or my hunting boots before. When these are worn out, I’ll probably try another brand.

Nice hiking boots but they definitely run small. I ordered half size larger and wide.

Like previous reviews mentioned I ordered a half a size bigger and they fit my boyfriend perfectly

Nice solid hiker but I just didn't like the squared off appearance of the front toe area. That is the only think I didn't like. Style has at least a little importance.

bought these 2xs for my son (30yrs. old) he loves them.

I wish I could submit a better review for these shoes, but unfortunately I had to return them because they were too small. As with other reviewers, I found them to be at least a half size small. I wear size 15, and have owned two other pairs of Keens in that size that fit great and were fantastic shoes, but somehow they're making these smaller I guess. The overall construction and soles looked like these would make great hikers if you can find the size to fit you.

I've owned 2 consecutive pairs of these shoes and love the fit, finish, comfort and looks. Waterproof yet breathable. However with both pair I had problems with the black outer sole separating and eyelets breaking. But that was after 2 1/2 years of daily wear and hard outdoor use so I guess I shouldn't complain! I just stepped up to the Targhee II Exp WP to see if I can squeeze a little more life out of what is overall an exceptional shoe

Excellent construction quality but I think it runs a full size too small, be sure to size up when ordering

Comfortable out of the box but molds well to the feet after about 10 miles. Good all round walking/day hiking shoe. Roomy box toe.

I purchased these for my son, who works on roofs. He was going through many sneakers before these wonderful shoes. They hold up much better than anything he has ever had. Thank you so much for having them in your inventory.

Everything is great but they truly tend to have issues and need replaced inside one year which stinks because they are expensive. The fit, style, waterproofing, and comfort is, however, too addictive to resist!

You recommended ordering a half size up but was too big. I would like this same shoe in a size 10. Thanks

Sturdy but comfortable hiker, waterproof, too. Runs a bit small, but I found not a full half size too small, more like a quarter size.

I was warned on the website to order 1/2 size large but that didn't help. These boots are narrower in the toe than other Keens I have owned. I have bunions and Keen's are one of the few boots I can wear. I have returned them and ordered Keen Logan's hoping to have better luck. I love Keen boots. I hope they haven't narrowed their last.

I had some initial trouble order this product on-line. Zappos customer service response to my issue was amazing. Two different people assisted me. They were the most responsive, helpful, responsive, courteous, enthusiastic, customer support personnel I have spoke n with. I am very impressed with Zappos personnel!

Straight out of the box, these hiking boots are quite heavy and stiff. Reminding my guys of ski boots. With time, I know these would loosen up, as the Keen shoes do. - just not soon enough for our weekend hiking trip. We loved the magnet grey and blue color combination. These look cool and outdoorsy in a modern, rugged, industrial way. They felt breathable and the mesh insets certainly looked waterproof (a major reason for ordering these) and well constructed to an excellent level. These were just too warm for our year-round or even our Deep South hiking needs. I would say these are definitely for colder climates than ours down South. My 15 yr-old son decided not to keep his due to the weight and added bulk in this boot. He went with a much lighter, slimmer Columbia boot (size 9.5) instead. Regarding Sizing: Not sure why the reviewers said to order up! True to Keen sizing issues that we have found consistent over the past 10 years (buying them for my husband and 4 children), these Targhee II Mid hiking boots also ran large. (We ordered my son's actual size and a size up and a 1 whole size up just to be sure, as roughly half of the reviews said they run small...To compare, my son wears a size 9.5 in Nike, Merrell and Columbia shoes.) As usual, order up a size was unnecessary! No surprise, but the 9.5 pair was actually big. Even with thick wool hiking socks these were big all over. (I also ordered these for my husband who wears between 11.5 and 12 in Keen shoes. I ordered a 12 and they are also a half size too big and wide).

KEEN is a very reputable name. These boots do not provide me with enough ankle support but are comfortable and break in easily. Zappos continues to have the best customer service!

Shoes fit good and are comfortable. My only problem with the purchase was I didn't look close enough at the add as I thought I was purchasing shoes made in the U.S. Last pair of shoes I bought from Keen were made in the U.S.

Comfortable, right out of the box. My husband is on his feet all day, and has high arches. These shoes are still comfortable and he's been wearing them for a year. However, the sole is worn down to nothing on the heel. I thought they would last longer at this price.

Great boots. I bought steel toe versions for work. Super comfy and good looking. My only complaint is they didn't last long. I'm not super hard on boots but these only lasted me about 6 months. Loved them, just not for rough factory floors.

Just bought my third pair of these Keen boots. I work on ladders and concrete floors all day long. I couldn't get out of bed in the morning because my feet hurt so bad, while wearing work boots. These boots saved my feet. No foot aches anymore after being on my feet all day. They look pretty nice too.

Good boot/shoe for sure. Worked in nicely. I wouldn't say I'm blown away by it, but it is solid and as advertised. Haven't really tested the waterproofing yet.
